Dropped off my permanent residence application! With a walk around beautiful Nagano City! Part 2.

[Music] I know. And now I know. I didn’t realize I was home. And the reason why I show these videos, reason why I do these videos, I didn’t want to get paid for it. Knowledge is is in the end, which it always does. I mean, you get it. And like I said, I never knew about the age you came. You say, "Hey, you can." Yeah. It’s really nice. This is a really nice place, guys. This show I was just talking about. Remember last time see the difference now. So, so I just got treated. Look at look at this guys. Okay. But let me tell you something that kind of treat you. There’s not many of us out here in live here. We go to places that are catered to tourist. I mean, explore is the the ultimate goal to do citizenship because there’s so many advantages that you know. It’s just a beautiful place to be. It’s [Music] beautiful. And they have the middle. What they do is they they they they walk around big [Music] wheel because I don’t want these. I want you guys to be able to see. We’re not here to live off someone else’s. So, brothers, I took a lot of pictures here. So, I already decided where I want to go eat when I get back from Zenoji. So, I’m going to walk up to Zenoji right now. Um, it’s just this is like I said, this is an amazing amazing place, guys. Amazing. It’s called the Kuraniwa here in Nagago City. Um, they have a lot of nice little places. It looks like all the restaurants haven’t opened up yet. Maybe when I come back this way from Zingo Gi here in about 30 minutes or so, um things more things will be open. But I already decided which one I want to eat at. So yeah, it’s funny. I just remember this now because when I came in the city, I drove past here and I now now I know I didn’t realize I was going that far past the station. As I was driving, I said it looks like Zenoji. It was Zenoji because the immigration office is down the street. Um probably about a kilometer and then you make a left and you’re there. So yeah, I just was kind of surprised I actually came from that side. Um, now I know which way I go. Usually I guess I kept going straight from the station. So now I know how to get in the Gano even more now. See? So yeah, guys, it’s it’s an amazing life here, man. So and and the reason why I show these videos, the reason why I do these videos cuz I’m so passionate about living in Japan and I’m so passionate about spreading the knowledge. Um because you know that’s the problem with people man is when they know things they want to get paid for it. Knowledge is is supposed to be spread. Um it’s not supposed to be kept inside. And if it is it’s going to be it’s going to end up being bad. Knowledge is supposed to be shared man. And then when you share the knowledge you know which is like sharing the love then you know it makes everybody better man. And that’s why I do these videos man. That’s a big reason why I’m out here doing this. I mean like I said I don’t have to do this. so I can just live my quiet life and just, you know, do what I got to do. I am living a quiet life, but I just want to kind of want to share um what it is that I’m doing that I’m living here so that way that others can, you know, can you know help maybe it might help people live a better life in the in the end, which it always does. I mean, it always does when you show you share that positivity. Um, I’m no longer like I mean I never was a negative person, but now I really don’t let things bother me anymore. I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I’ve been living in Japan. The Philly chip that I had on my shoulder is gone. I don’t have that chip on my shoulder anymore, which is which is unbelievable for me to say now, but I just don’t, you know, I don’t have that chip, man. I don’t want to I don’t want to waste that energy on the chip on my shoulder. It’s been one big burden on me my whole life. And now I’ve been living in this beautiful country for, you know, 12 years alltogether now. And here I am walking up to Zenoji talking to you guys on the video that I’m doing. Um, so I may call this a part two. It depends on how long this video ends up being. I don’t like the videos being too long. Um, but um, so like I said before, you want to try to get your um, your aukin out the way as quick as you can if you can get it. And like I said, I never knew about a Adukin before when I lived in Japan. I never heard of it because nobody’s going to sit out there and tell you about it. Nobody’s going to say, "Hey, you know, you can get an A. You can." Oh, yeah. This is another nice coffee shop right here, man. See, they have a lot of nice like places to go like tea rooms, coffee, you know, like me. I like the tea room, coffee cake thing. My wife and I love it. My kids love it. So, we like really going to a a nice fancy place and sitting down and just kind of chilling and taking all taking it all in. I mean, I’m walking around in a long sleeve shirt, but I feel really, really good, man. I feel really nice since it’s that nice of a day out here. It’s beautiful in Japan. So, and look, I don’t see a lot of people up here. You see a few tourists, but you don’t see a lot of people, man. All up in here. So, and I’m getting ready to go up into the invers of Kingo Gi. Hello. See, this is a good shop. Thank you. Oh, see you guys got to come here. Thank you. Yo, she said she’s waiting for us to come there. Um, yeah, it’s really nice. Really nice place, guys. This shop is called the St. Cairer. So, you got to come to St. Cir shop. Yep. When you come up here, Zoji. Um, and I’m going to tell you guys something here in a minute um that I just discovered here and like I was I was just talking about remember the last video I did and I was talking about how the American passport is no longer the great VIP. But you see see the difference now. So that so I just got treated. Oh, look at look at this guys. Look at this. I really like this building right here. It’s beautiful, man. Look at this. Look at this. Look at this guys. And this is looking back to where I came from. The station is back that way about a kilometer and a half. And once again, you got a map right here. I’ll show you where we are. So, you’ll see. So, like, okay, so I’m here now, but I actually drove up um where where it says Nagago branch um I don’t want to put my finger in there because it’s going to focus my finger, but it says Nagano branch uh office, Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau, that’s where the immigration bureau is. That’s where it’s at. That’s where the bureau is at. Yes. So, um if if you live around this Nagano area, and I know a lot of people do, um like live throughout Nagago, this is where you go. That’s where you go. See? So, here I am going to Zenoji. So, but guys, this is amazing. But know what I was going to say. I can get back to what I’m talking about here. Oh, look. I love these windows, man. I love the way they do the windows and the style. It’s just awesome, man. See? And see how this buildings all look. See, I love architecture and I love the scenery and my son does too and my daughter and my whole family, man. My kids are I’m noticing just just like me. They like the things I like because I take them everywhere. That’s what happens when you take your kids different places like me and my son spent those three days in Tokyo. They just love what you love. Look at this place right here. Look at this. I never been up in here before. I don’t usually go up in just kind of walk by. Look at this place right here. Look at this. Look at this, guys. Goodness, guys. And so manners thing about coming to Japan too, you got to you got to know manageers best. But okay, but let me tell you something. Tell you what I was going to say. So did you see how that lady treated me? How nice and friendly that shop owner was. Of course, it’s for her business. But still, I didn’t get that kind of treatment. You don’t get that kind of treatment in Tokyo or Osaka. You don’t get that kind of treatment, guys. See, there’s not that many of us out here in Nano. See, so when I mean, I wasn’t even going to put it on video cuz a lot of people don’t even want to be on video, but she was okay with that. See, here’s the drums. See? So, that’s what I’m saying, guys. So, when you come up here, you have that amazing experience. That’s why you have to get off the beaten beaten path. Go to places like this in Japan like a Nagango city, Toyama. These kind of places will treat you really well. Look at this. As we come in now, when now we coming over here, there going to be a lot more people. But still, look at this. Does this look like Asaka? No. You know how crowded Asaka is, right? It’s crazy. Asaka in Tokyo is ridiculously crowded. But here I am walking up in here and oh oh I do want to say one thing though about this part cuz as I come here this is like a touristy part. Now this is a touristy part. Now what I want to say is not every one of these shops are nice. Um there’s a shops one on left side here that we went to. We got some soft cream or something from. I wasn’t too crazy about them. I was like I thought they got little Starbucks right there. They’re kind of cool. So I wasn’t too crazy about the little shops. She was like, "H, oh, oh, we saw that same dollar in Yuzawa with my daughter. My family with them a few weeks ago." But no, I saw that same this one these shops just was I just didn’t like it. I wasn’t crazy about the service there. So, that’s why I’m skipping that. So, be careful when you come here, when you live here and you go to places that are catered to tourists. For some reason, the service is not I think it was this place right here. There’s Naka. where I uh key mom. I think that was the place. I wouldn’t go there. I’m not going to recommend shops if I don’t think they’re worth a I’m not I’m going to say tell you guys they’re not worth a So, but you can see, look at all this. I haven’t been back here. What they got back here? Excuse me. I just come up. I just go straight and I just kind of turn around and go back. But this is amazing, guys. Guys, I feel like I feel like you guys are with me, man, on this trip. I just feel like you guys are here. Like I said, I may break this into two parts. I may just call this a part, too. Oh, look at this. Oh. Oh, guys. And people see people live here. See? We are above the street. See, look at this, guys. Look at these places. Look at these entryways. Look at this, guys. Look at this, guys. Look, look, look. This is Japan, man. This is Japan. You know, I’ve been practicing Buddhism for almost 40 years now, and I feel one with the zen. I practice zen and I just feel at one with this this country. I feel at one with nature here. That’s how we have to be. We’re you have to be into the all. Buddhism is all about getting into the all. We are the all and the all has created the universe because the all has infinite thinking. We we think we find that terms here because we’re humans. Once we get out of this this this unit that we’re in, we’re going to start thinking internet again. But look at this guys. Look at this man. Look at this. Look at I just walk up these places. Look at this. See, guys. This is amazing. It’s amazing place to go. That’s those those motorcycles you see right there, that’s the that’s the post office. They deliver meal like that in Japan. Rain or shine, snow or what, they deliver more than that. I know cuz I have a friend of mine or not a friend but a associate of mine whose son was playing soccer with my son who does that in Georgia where we live. Okay, so there’s the bill right there. I’m actually going this way. I’ll let you guys hear some of the sounds, too. Just think, guys, just think once you get your your your age, you can your permanent residence. You don’t have to worry about ever leaving Japan, man. You’re not here unconditioned now. You’re a permanent resident of Japan. That is such that is such a an honor to me that I’m I’m going to be honored to become a permanent resident of this country I love so much. I’m going to be honored to be a resident here, permanent resident. I mean, I know regardless whether I get a permanent res or not, I’m never going to leave Japan anyway. But me being permanent residents, what that seals the deal that just lets me know that hey, you know, this is your spot. And then maybe I may explore to visit the ultimate goal. of becoming a citizen of Japan once I can figure out all my finances. And one thing that somebody did about that will work. They they said that um they did that and in America in order for you to leave the states you have to pay an exit tax, guys. So if you renounce your US citizenship, you have to pay an exit tax. I’m not um privy to I don’t I really don’t have any feeling to renounce my US citizenship because there’s so many advantages that even though I pay taxes there’s just so many advantages of me being an American around the world still. So even though the American passport isn’t treated no longer no longer a VIP, but still as an American, I have a lot of advantages, you know, like I said, I can, you know, things get stupid crazy. I can just visit visit America anytime I want and not worry about how long I stayed here. My wife will, of course, cuz she doesn’t have a green card anymore, but still, why would I stay there that long anyway? So here we are, guys, coming up into Zenoji. And they actually have a place here. See, I’m not going to do that. I’ve did it already twice. Once in Kyoto and once here at Zenko where I walk, you walk underground and it’s dark. You walk in the Bu Buddhist belly and it’s completely dark and you can’t see nothing. You just holding on to a a rope or something. They just get you around behind all these other people and it is completely black. I mean, you can’t see nothing. Nothing. It’s pitch black. Pitch black, guys. Pitch black. Then when you come out, you’re supposed to be healed and you’re supposed to get better and these type of things. So yes, this is the kind of places I live in, guys. So you see people here, what they do is they get the incense and then they burn it and then they kind of like put it into this machine and then you just bring it to for your health and like you want to be smarter, bring to your head. If you want to be better in stomach, you bring it here. And what it does is it brings everything for your health. See, that’s what it does. See? And you put the flame inside the machine. I mean, not the machine, inside the the urn, the giant urn. And then that’s what you do. So, I don’t have to do that, but I will do it. So, and this right here, guys, is Zenoji. Zenoji the temple and you can actually go up in there. I’m not going to go in there today, but you can go up in there. You take your shoes off. You go around. You got to pay a little fee and you go all up. We were all up in there. It was crazy. Taking pictures, but I’m not on this kind of trip today. I just wanted to show you guys where I was at before I head back down and give me something to eat. I was going to show you guys this bell right here that they’ll ring once in a while. In fact, I was doing a video. the video I did last uh November of 23 when I was here last and I actually had it on video and they’re ringing the bell. Um and so look at this guys. This is amazing guys. This is amazing brothers. Brothers, you got to get up here man. You got to get here people. You got to get up here man. And and that’s that’s why I’m glad I did this and you can actually get the age you can because look at this beautiful country I live in. I live in this beautiful place, man. Look, I live here, man. I live in this place. I don’t have to leave. I’m not a tourist here. I’m just walking around in my country. And it’s just a beautiful place to be. It’s a beautiful place. Beautiful place, man. Look at this place, guys. Look guys, how could you not like this? And and when I took when I was taking pictures, I spoke to my wife a little bit before I got back on video and my wife was like, "Oh, what are you going to do?" I said, "I bet I’m going to eat some lunch." She said, "Yes." Eat lunch. Said, "Take your time. Enjoy yourself in Nago, baby. I’m going to eat lunch. I got lunch already." You know, that’s how it is here, guys. That’s how I That’s my life, man. This is my life here. I don’t have to worry about these guys before I shut it down. But I don’t have to worry about anything, guys. I’m just here. And there’s the bell. This [Music] go Oh, this goes deeper than this. When we were here last time, we were walking all over the place, but there was It was a weekend. There’s a lot of people, man. This was in the um summer of 20 three or four. I forgot what year that was. I think it was summer of 23. Um, yeah, it was summer 23 because it was before I came here and it was hot and so at first I didn’t want to go down into the hole because I was like, man, it’s kind of hot. I won’t be. But I went down anyway, so I was good. But but yeah, guys, this is amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Let you hear the sounds. So when you now you know a little bit more about why I love this place so much, why I live in this country, why I chose this country, what my experience is like. I mean, I showed you guys like something the other day and I was walking around and this is another one of my experiences. I’m walking around here, you know, amongst the beautiful nature up here at Zenko Gi. It’s just absolutely gorgeous. This is so worth coming to Nagano City. And look at how the trees are so pretty, man. The way they just kind of hang the colors and in the autumn, this place is really beautiful, too, of course. and in the snow. You just got to get up here, guys. Just got to get up here. And like I said, if you um are in this situation where you can apply for your permanent residency, I would high I highly recommend you take the time, you take a few days off, you get everything from your job that you need, you get you a lawyer because lawyers, what they do is they they they they literally dot the eyes and cross the tea for you. You won’t miss certain things if you get the lawyer. And that’s why I don’t usually do lawyers, but I got one because I realized that I don’t want to have any kind of mistakes. I need somebody with some experience that’s going to give me some advice on helping me obtain that goal. And that goal is is to get that permanent residence card. And so and in this life anyway, in this life form um because it’s needed um not that I need it for my soul, but I just needed to live in this life form on this in this area that I love so much in this country I love so much. And see they got the tour groups. Now I was going to show you guys one more thing here um that got that amazed me. Um me and my son was in there and you you can push that thing around and basically what it does it tests your strength and you can see how strong you are. You go in and then you start twisting this pushing walking around this thing big wheel that you turn for and you can determine how healthy you are by how strong you move that turn. I mean that that that wheel. See somebody’s turning right now. See, of course they say new cameras and stuff like that, but see, but that’s that’s how it works. So, you can see there’s a tour group here. I’m not a tour group follower. I’m a tour group guy, but I just want you guys to see what Zenoji is like up here. Um, I’m going to end this video soon. I’m kind of I feel kind of melancholy because I don’t want to end it because I want you guys to be able to see it all, enjoy it all. But in order for you to do that, you got to get here. That’s the thing. You got to get here. And unfortunately, you know, most you guys will never get to see this. You never get to experience this because your lives are just, you know, because you’ve accepted the fact that I want to say your lives. You’ve accepted the fact that your life is not going to get you here. But you have once you accept the fact that you will be here and you put in your mind that you will be here. You think it in the force. Think it in. Speak it into in existence. Think it into existence, guys. You will be here. Trust me, you will be here. I’m Look at Look at me. Look at me. See? And then once again, I want to say one last thing about this. Uh people were saying, "Oh, yeah. You lucky you got this." No, no. This is 2025 right now, guys. I can honestly tell you that the beginning of 2014, I didn’t have any income coming in. I had $3 in the bank. I was living off of food stamps, guys, at the beginning of 2014. And then 2015, my life turned around when I finally was able to get myself a permanent, a full-time job, you know, doing what I did when I earned in school. But guys, I’m telling you, you can do this. You can be the person sitting there with $3 in the bank right now and bills to pay. And like I said, like I said in one of my other videos, if you if you’re getting some sort of income, get rid of all your possessions. Dump it all. If you can live over here, if you’re married to a Japanese woman or if you just want to get out of the country and you want to go somewhere else, get out. This world is waiting for you. The world is waiting. The world is waiting for you. It’s I mean, it’s always going to be here. You have to get out and you have to accept the fact that you can get out into the world. You don’t tell nobody, let nobody tell you or follow somebody else’s um version of it. You got to get out here and create your own. That’s why we’re all here. We’re not here to live off somebody else’s version of our life. We are here to master our version of life. That’s what we’re here for, guys. Master our version. And this is what this beautiful temple is here to tell you. This is the Buddhist thought, the Buddhist train of mind. This is what you need to do. This is Zenoji, guys. This is Nagago City and this is why I love living in Japan. BSP. So brothers, this is BSP. Just going to add this in here. Man, I’m here at this lovely restaurant here called La Compella here at the Kuraniwa, the place that I was telling you about that come back and eat breakfast. And I’m going to start off, man, with this uh what they call nama ham, raw ham salad. I ordered a a pasta with bread and iced coffee is coming later. But guys, this is how I live, man. This is amazing life over here, guys. I’m telling you, this amazing life. You got to get out here, man. You got to get over here. So, I’m going to go ahead and dig into this. Talk to you guys later. Okay, so I’m getting ready to try this uh bacon pasta. It looks really good, man. I’m going to dig into this. I’m just enjoying myself here. Just sitting chilling, just looking at the pictures on the plant. You can look around me, man. This is a really nice place to eat. Um it’s quiet. It’s nice. You hear people talk in the background, but it’s just the chill spot with the music and everything. You guys got to get in, man. I’m telling you, you got to get in. You got to get down here. You got to enjoy this life. That’s why I’m always telling people about it. Got to enjoy it. But you got to enjoy it the way you want to enjoy it that you choose to enjoy it.

Continuing on to Zenko-ji. I highly recommend you check this out.
