Finally the Famous Sakura of Japan 🇯🇵 S8 EP 94 | Cherry Blossoms Sapporo Hokkaido|Pakistan to Japan

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone and welcome back to the channel from Kansai Airport, Osaka. It is 7:30 am. Shortly, I have a flight to Sapporo from here. You must have heard about Japan’s famous spring called Sakura. Nowadays, there is only one region in Japan, Hokkaido, whose capital is Sapporo, where it can still be seen. Today is the day when all the flowers will bloom. So last time when I came, I missed it. This time I got this opportunity, so I decided to visit Sapporo. So if I had taken a train from here, I’d have taken about 11-12 hours. So I thought why not take a flight from here. I will show you the trains, airports, domestic flights, etc. I will also show you the overview of the country in my vlogs. So I am ready to take you to Sapporo. I like almost everything about Japan, but I like Osaka Airport even more because I walked from the hotel to here in 10 minutes. It has security clearance. It’s a big airport, not a small one. It’s built on an island outside Osaka. Since it was a domestic flight, I didn’t have to clear immigration. I just got out of the security and reached here. I also got something to eat from here. This is an egg and tuna sandwich because it’s a budget airline. I won’t get anything to eat here. I also have some coffee. Let’s see how the next flight is going to be. My eye is a little red. Because I hit my finger in it early in the morning. Let’s see how long it will heal. They are saying that hot drinks are not allowed. So I have to drink it here or throw it away. I thought not to waste my coffee worth 500 Yen. In Japan, earthquakes occur often. There is a lot of turbulence in the sky. Despite that, people here are very patient. The flight was very comfortable and nice. It was just a little turbulent. But that’s okay. It happens. Now I have reached Sapporo. Welcome to Hokkaido. This was my first domestic flight in Japan. It was a very good experience. We landed here exactly on time. I had almost the same good experience as the trains. It was neat and clean. There were no issues. The people were very friendly. I landed here on time. I paid around $85 for this flight. These are budget airlines. You get almost the same price of tickets for good airlines in Japan. I booked this flight only a day ago. That’s why it was a bit expensive. There are holidays in Japan right now. That’s why the prices are a little high. But if you book a week or two in advance, you can book domestic flights for the same price. Let’s go. I will get a train from here to the city center. I can see the JR train sign. Let’s go. I have visited 4 or 5 airports in Japan. I had been here before. Every airport is linked to the JR train or underground metro. I have boarded the train. The airport is about 45 km away from the city center. This train journey will take almost 30 minutes. I didn’t pay for this because I have a Japan Rail Pass. All JR trains are free for 14 days. That’s how long my Japan Rail Pass is. I’m not sure how much it will cost. But if you have to buy a ticket, you have to tell them that you are traveling here. They will give you the ticket at the same time. If there is enough space in the train. These are mostly reserved trains. So there might not be enough space. You will have to wait a little longer. I have reached Sapporo. It’s a big and beautiful train station. It’s cold here. If you look at the map, Hokkaido is located in the North of Japan. That’s why it’s late spring here. Compared to other areas of Japan. It’s cold here all year long. Of course, there are a few months in the summer when the weather is good. But apart from that, winter is tough here. The hotel I have booked is at 10 minutes’ walk from here. Let’s go and see. I have checked in at the hotel. Since the check-in time is 3:00 pm, they told me to leave my luggage here. I will get my room after 3 pm. I said okay. I have time to explore the city. I am in the city center now. There is a small park here. There are a few cherry blossom trees here. It is said that it takes 7 days for the flowers to bloom. Then it reaches its full bloom in the spring. And then the flowers start to fall. Today is the full bloom day. But there are not many trees in this park. You won’t find cherry blossom trees everywhere in Sapporo. There are a few in many places. There are a few parks here. Let’s visit them and explore the city center. Let’s see how Hokkaido is. The weather is relatively better now. When I came here in the morning, it was raining and cold. It is still slightly cold. I can survive with a jacket. Hokkaido and Sapporo are cold areas. That’s why the population is low here. The total population of Hokkaido is 5 million. Out of which 2 million people live in Sapporo city. Most people come here for winter activities. The weather is better now. It is sunny. There is a spacious and beautiful plaza here. There are many places to sit and enjoy. There are flowers and fountains. Families come here to sit and enjoy. There is an announcement going on. I am not sure what it is about. I think it is a live streaming of some political party. People are not listening to them. I will provide you a walking tour of city center and commercial area. This city is very different from other cities in Japan. It is very spacious. The architecture will give you a feeling of Northern Europe or even Russia. The weather here is different from other cities in Japan. If you look at the map, Sapporo city is very close to Russia’s Vladivostok area. There is a culture of vending machines in Japan. I saw this shop in almost every city. If you want to win a teddy bear, you can insert coins here and win. There is a gaming area ahead. Look at how fast he is playing. What is going on here? They are playing like crazy. But it is interesting to watch. There are also games here. There is a lot of gaming culture here. I have not played many games in my university life. So, I don’t have much idea about it. I don’t know what was going on. As soon as I exit the shopping street, there is an open market here. I think they have local wines here. They are tasting them here. The music here is also very different. It is similar to the music of Mongolia. Maybe they have the same music here. There are some food items here. There is seafood here. Maybe I can eat something from this area. Let me provide you a walking tour. I saw an interesting sign here. It says, Halal Waigo Ramen, Shinjuku Tai. It is right next to this market. I was planning to walk a little and then have lunch. Since I’m here, I need to have lunch. There is a restaurant nearby, let’s go there. This is a small entrance. It looks interesting. I really liked Waigo Sushi. And now I have Chicken Taragi. I am hearing the name for the first time. So, I don’t know. I will know when I taste it. But this is really delicious. Waigo is amazing. Next level. I will have more delicious food in Japan. But this experience is really good. This looks like fried chicken. Let’s have some lemon on it. Among all the traditional Japanese food I had, I am really enjoying the delicious food today. Waigo is amazing. Let’s enjoy the first ramen of this tour. I have eaten it many times before. Because it is easy to get halal ramen in Japan. I think so. Because when I came here last time, I could get halal ramen in most of the tourist cities. Let’s see. Let’s try it with Waigo. Waigo is really amazing. The food was really delicious. But when I came to pay, I was shocked. It was so expensive. Genghis Khan is coming here with Waigo. I paid 6600 Yen. Which is around 46-47 USD if you convert. I have not eaten such an expensive food in this tour. Normally, it is around 5-10 USD depending upon the country. Sometimes it escalates up to 15 USD. But 46 USD is too much. At least the food was good. I can’t say that I have wasted the money. But I’m a motorcyclist and have to travel in budget. So I have to be careful. Japan is expensive, no doubt. So I have to check the prices first and then sit. I usually go and sit in a restaurant. Mostly, I don’t go to such expensive restaurants. So I have to be careful in such small restaurants. I will try Waigo once or twice only. Not more than this. This city is really beautiful. Most of the cities I have visited in Japan are beautiful. Here you feel that you are very close to nature. The population of this city is very less. It is around 2 million. Nature is very abundant here. So even if you are in the city center, you feel that you are connected to nature. I have come here while walking. There is a beautiful river flowing through the city. Along which, there are a lot of parks and grounds. Sports activities are going on here. People are jogging. People are doing different sports activities here. While living in the city, you feel you are also enjoying the nature here. Let’s keep walking along the river. I was supposed to go to the park, but I came here by mistake. Let’s go ahead through the same route. This is Nakajima Park. Here, you feel that you are enjoying the famous Sakura of Japan. Because there are a lot of cherry blossom trees here. They are of different types. So you get to see different flowers. I feel that in Japan, areas with a few cherry blossom trees, don’t look very beautiful. When I was roaming in the city, I thought that I would see cherry blossom trees somewhere. But when you come to the park, there are a lot of trees on both sides of the walking path. So it looks beautiful. There are some areas with many trees. So you feel like seeing the famous pictures of Japan. I am back from the park. It’s windy. I thought I would go and enjoy the summer of Japan. But it’s winter. Nisar is with me. Assalam-o-Alaikum He is from Sargodha and he messaged me. So I thought to meet him. He told me that the weather here is very cold. It snows for 4 months. It is spring now. But it’s too cold for me. My nose is runny now. So I thought to get out of the park and have a cup of coffee. So now we are in the city center. Is this the same area as Dori? The next one is Dori. This is Tsukino. As soon as the office hours ended, it’s crowded. As I told you earlier, it is very cold here. There is a tunnel about 1.5 km away from the city center. There is a walking path here. And there are shops on the sides. There is an underground system here. In winter, the roads are frozen. They clean them for the cars. It’s very difficult to walk in this cold. That’s why they have made a tunnel here. You can comfortably walk here in any weather. It feels like you are walking in a shopping mall. Nisar told me this very interesting thing. I was thinking to walk up there. But the world is different down here. The government has arranged all the facilities for people to live according to the weather and environment. Too much cold doesn’t interrupt your routine life here. There is a very common thing in Japan. They have a lot of green tea here, like matcha tea. You will find green tea or matcha tea. I have bought donuts from here. I like it a lot. I come here often even to get an ice cream. It is a very tasty donut. I don’t think you will find it anywhere else in the world. It is a main part of their culture. You can easily find such sweets here wherever you go. To see the view of Sapporo, I have come to a mountain called Mount Moeba. The view point is at an altitude of 550 meters. The view of the city is very beautiful from here. Especially in the evening, when all the lights are on, you can see the skyline of the city from here. The population of Sapporo is only 2 million. But it looks like a very big city. It was a long day. Finally, I have come back to Sapporo city. After enjoying Sakura, I found a very nice room here. Let me give you a small room tour. Earlier, I was staying in a hostel or a cabin hotel. They were very small. But this room looks very beautiful. I have got two beds here. I had booked one, but they upgraded it. It’s a good thing that I have more space here. Apart from that, there is a TV and a place to keep things. There is also a beautiful sofa here. and a coffee machine too. I might have a cup of coffee before leaving in the morning. There is also a fridge here. There is a beautiful washroom next to the entrance. It’s very clean. Today, I have an attached washroom. It’s fun to have your own attached washroom. You don’t have to go anywhere else. There is a shower area here. One thing you will see is that in Japan, the shower area is very small. The height of the shower area is very low. The reason for this is that people sit here and take a shower. There is a stool here. There is a basket on top of the stool. If you want to use the tub, you can do that. But people sit here and take a shower. I have seen this in Japanese houses. I am experiencing this for the first time in hotels. I have got this hotel for $80. I am staying here for one night. It might be double the price in Tokyo. I can’t even find it there. There is a lot of tourism here. Anyway, I’ll see when I go back. This is Episode 94 of my Pakistan to Japan Motorcycle Series. In this Episode I traveled from Osaka to Sapporo, Hokkaido. I took the Jetstar flight from Osaka Kansai Airport to Sapporo and stayed overnight in a beautiful Hotel in Sapporo.
