Francesco Guarnieri will no longer be the coach of Hokkaido. The coach has communicated to the club and the team his intention to embark on a new adventure, at the end of the season that will see the final credits roll over the weekend after the last match of the men’s Serie B championship against Benacus, on Saturday at 20,30:XNUMX p.m. Guarnieri has reached an agreement with the Slovenian Federation: will be the deputy of the national men’s team, alongside Soli, a coach currently involved in the SuperLega championship finals at the helm of Itas Trentino.

The coach was in Slovenia yesterday. He will return to Bologna for the last day before starting his new adventure, which will see him as the protagonist in vnl first (it will start in June in Brazil) and to world then, scheduled for September in the Philippines. Slovenia has a roster of players very well known in our latitudes: such as the former Modena spiker Tine Urnaut, the opposite hitter Toncek Stern (formerly of Padova and Verona), the spiker Peter Mozic (this season playing for Verona) and the middle blocker Jan Kozamernik of Trento Guarneri had already covered the role of Slovenia’s vice in the past: but in the women’s field.

The Federation is knocking on his door again. After his experiences as club assistant with Casadio in San Lazzaro, Bonitta in Ravenna, Baldovin in Vibo and as head coach in the Under 19 of Ravenna (with one championship won) and in Bologna (salvation in A3, third place in B), Guarnieri is moving up a level: assistant of Slovenia in the summer that leads to Vnl and world championships. Pallavolo Bologna will have to look for a new coach.
