Curious to see how some of the legendary cars drive and compare to each other. Personally, I love a raw driving experience and I haven’t driven many JDM cars but the s2000 was an amazing driving experience and similar to the e46 M3 to me in terms of overall fun and raw driving experience.

i just took delivery of my 1999 sti ra v limited on thursday and that thing is a monster. just thru and thru performance and a true blue jdm gem. my other subaru, 96 gf4 is pretty putzy lol but still drives amazing for a wagon and is hella fun in winter. besides that i would say my mazda mx-3, my first car which got me hooked on jdm, which was a crazy fun little bastard that made alot of noise and after being kl swapped was substantially faster than the local fuzz lmao

Used to work at a Datsun/Nissan specialty shop. Drove R32, 33, and 34. The R34 was the best just for being what it was.
Least favorite was driving an NSX. Felt too far forward and awkward to drive.

I used to have an FD and that’s still been my favorite to drive. Not so much the upkeep. But cold night drives were amazing. From the sound, the smell, the handling, and the snugness of the seats still miss that car…but not the upkeep.

R32 GTR is a phenomenal car, but I have a soft spot for the Celica GT4.

  5. Best FD RX7, I mean everything good and bad about them is true; at least as a classic car the downsides are easy to live with. The smoothness of the power delivery is just something else.

Most disappointing NSX, felt like driving a Camry. Felt huge and heavy. You really feel like the main character when driving it though as everyone is staring at you when you stop anywhere.

My s15 spec R, absolutely loved that thing. S chassis are so cool. Got a s14 now instead though 😂

Honestly Toyota century it’s like driving down the highway in a soft recliner, pure smooth comfort. But close second was a Toyota chaser that was fun without all the disappointing high expectations of a supra.
