Come join me on the 1-hour domestic business class flight on Japan Airlines. After taking the shuttle bus over to Terminal 1 and enjoying great tarmac views from the rooftop observation deck, I checked in through the JAL first class check-in counter with separate security lines and direct lounge access. The lounge doesn’t have much in the way of FnB, but thankfully it was quickly time to board the aircraft and check out the two two layout recliner seats. While this 16-year-old plane has a dated business class product, I was glad to see that there was an IF system and ample leg room. However, I did not use the IF system for this 1-hour flight as I enjoyed great takeoff views of Tokyo. There wasn’t much FNB on board, but this lovely Mount Fuji views more than made up for it.
