Acura went with the path of least resistance selling a reskinned Type R as the Integra Type S, which makes sense given the integra is a reskinned civic. That said, I think there should have been more differentiation, like an auto or awd.
Asking honda for rwd is ridiculous IMO

Hearing people prefer AWD on asphalt hurts my heart. To each his own but this car is fine FWD I can only imagine how much more it would cost as an AWD.

No, not everything needs to be awd or rwd. Honda makes good fwd cars. That’s been their thing for decades (S2000 and NSX not withstanding, which were good in their own way.)
