Exploring Yufuin & Beppu | Ghibli Village | Hot Springs | VLOG

Hello everyone! we starting our Yufuin & Beppu trip in Fukuoka stayed here overnight and have a little time for breakfast before our train we were craving for a pancakes and found this place ordered one with egg benedict and one with butter and honey perfectly cooked took a stroll through Fukuoka, hoping to find a really good cup of coffee no regrets with that choice! wished we could stay longer, but our train wasn’t going to wait egg sandwiches in Japan are absolutely amazing you definitely should try one! we were not able to buy tickets for famous Yufuin no Mori train they sold out almost instantly but gladly regular train follows the same track with all beautiful views welcome to Yufuin! heading to the hotel to drop our bags we’ll be staying at traditional Japanese hotel (Ryokan) with tatami floors and futon beds time to explore the city Yufuin is small, but we’ve heard there’s plenty things to do here Yufuin floral village is Studio Ghibli inspired place with a lot of tiny shops selling Ghibli goods all of them is beautifully decorated in style of various animated films keep in mind that village is very small but the place itself is really cute the weather was cool, so we figured ramen would hit the spot gyoza always goes great with ramen a little on the spicy side, but exactly what we needed Day 2 Mt. Yufu decided to show itself a long day coming up, so we had to get up early today not many places were open, but this onigiri spot was just what we needed morning isn’t complete without coffee we’re off to Beppu today switching to a local bus at the Beppu station we bought Beppu Hells pass and got a detailed attractions map at the tourist center our goal today is to visit all Beppu Hells there are seven in total and luckily, five are pretty close together so much steam here that spring is almost hidden from view you can even find crocodiles here to be honest, we don’t support the way animals are kept here 🙁 this one feels more peaceful, with a lovely nature around no matter how stunning the water looks, swimming in these springs is fatal the temperature can reach over 100 degrees Celsius there is a foot bath here, but it’s already quite crowded grabbed a quick bite right on the spot oops, something went wrong! at least we did better job with the egg 😀 this hot spring stands out for its beautiful natural surroundings like this peaceful pond filled with lilies or the vivid blue spring surrounded by tropical greenery you can also find traditional element of Japanese culture here the last spring in this area is muddy one we visited all five hot springs here – now it’s time hop on a bus for remaining two the ride takes about ten minutes we’ve seen a red spring at one of the previous spots, but this one is much bigger finally got a foot onsen! this spring erupts every 30-40 min with different intensity and we were lucky to catch it at just the right moment found this tempura spot at Beppu station looks so delicious! returning to Yufuin after a long day the road looks so atmospheric and mysterious a little treat before heading to the onsen our hotel has a private onsens that are included in the room rate it’s perfect for those who feels shy about going to a public one exactly what we needed after walking around all day we bought sushi and sashimi on our way back to the hotel even supermarket food in Japan is incredibly delicious and good Day 3 on our last day, we decided to take it slow and enjoy our time in Yufuin we couldn’t walk past this shop selling scented stones our car getting a little souvenir as well 🙂 stopped for a local snack – korokke (croquette) it’s easy to get lost in the countless shops and cafes in Yufuin this pastry is so cute, it’s almost feels wrong to eat it but not for us! 😀 we heading to famous Kinrin lake morning is the best time to visit because by midday, the mist over the lake disappears finally, it’s time to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee this place is located not far from the lake in addition to the Floral Village, Yufuin has a big Studio Ghibli shop with a huge selection of Ghibli goods we ended up choosing this adorable stained glass puzzles we couldn’t resist the charming vibe of this little coffee shop coffee shops in Japan is usually very small, but cozy and in most cases, they serve very good coffee we were definitely ready for lunch and began searching for the spot came across this regional restaurant near our hotel they don’t have English menu, but tablet with photos makes it easy to order seems like every little detail is taken care in Japanese restaurants ordered fried tofu and chicken tempura sets with traditional dango soup after that incredible lunch we decided to take a walk and explore the rural side of Yufuin with this peaceful moment, our journey came to an end hope you enjoyed it with us thank you for watching ❤️

Hello everyone! We’re heading to the beautiful town of Yufuin to stroll through the Ghibli Village and enjoy the views of the stunning Kinrin Lake.
