仙台すずめ踊り選抜チーム「伊達の舞」!! Sendai Suzume Odori Selected Team “Date no Mai”!!
「伊達の舞」とは仙台すずめ踊りの選抜チーム。
各祭連（まづら＝すずめ踊りのチーム）からの参加希望者を募り、オーディションによって選出されます。
青葉まつりはもちろん、親善観光使節団として公的な行事、県外・海外への遠征出演などでも大活躍。
「100年後の伝統」を目指し、すずめ踊りの基本振り付けと隊形に、自由踊りをふんだんに取り入れて踊ります。
踊りもお囃子も高い技能・芸術性で、華麗な演舞を披露。

“Date no Mai” is the Sendai Suzume Odori Selected Team.
Participants from each festival group (Mazura = Suzume Odori team) are invited to participate, and the members are selected through auditions.
They are active not only at the Aoba Festival, but also at official events as goodwill tourism ambassadors, and on expeditions outside the prefecture and overseas.
Aiming to create a “tradition for 100 years to come,” they perform a basic Suzume Odori choreography and formations, incorporating plenty of free dancing.
Both the dance and the music are highly skilled and artistic, and the performance is magnificent.
This is one of the highlights of the Sendai Aoba Festival!
