Sapporo Snow Festival ❄️ | Japan’s Ultimate Winter Wonderland

In this last vlog for our latest Japan trip we attended the popular Sapporo Snow Festival which is an annual event that runs for only 1 week during winter each year in Hokkaido, Japan.

The 2025 Sapporo Snow Festival came super close to being cancelled this year though but it was thankfully saved with a last minute heavy snowfall that allowed it to proceed.

We visited on the very first day of the festival. It was freezing but fantastic!

Be sure to check out our other vlogs from this trip to see more winter travels in Japan:

  1. Wow, the ice sculptures under the night sky are so beautiful, I wish I will see it myself in future, love to watch your JP vlogs……
    Thanks for sharing
    Well done guys❤❤❤

  2. 🫰💕 man 😂😂 He looked so happy 😂… 🥺 🇯🇵 is over, but great series guys! Cup Noodle sculpture for me 👍👍. The 🦀 and 🐟 in 🧊 was cool but poor little guys in their icy grave 🥶🥶🥶.

I have to force myself to go back to LA sometime this year or next… will be good to see family but dreading going back.. one thing I’ll definitely do is look for some unique exclusive Shohei stuff. Maybe I’ll cruise over to Dodger Stadium and poke around.

Did you guys change the settings on the upload? Is there still artifacting? This vid looks extra crisp clear and vibrant (or maybe it’s because I cleaned my phone screen 😅).

Thanks guys for an awesome series.. really enjoyed it and the shots were beautiful. Looking forward to the next series a lot!!!

  3. The ice sculptures are magnificent. I do wish to see it one day, thank you for showing us. Japanese people love their anime, I see a few anime animals there like the one from Pokémon. No captain America lol. You guys need to do road trip Australia. You will love it.

  4. It's astounding what the artists can do with snow and ice! You guys have had an amazing Japanese experience 😊

  5. HI both, thank you for this lovely inspiring Japanese trip
It is great that Snow Festival was not cancelled, would be gutted for you guys as you mentioned waiting for the whole trip
It would not be a bad news, if it is followed by another of your adventure in the future

Must have been freezing being out there for the number of hours🥶, but the snow sculptures are really nice, my favourite is the Minion
They are just positive and happy, do not need to be smart, just be committed 😆

Peter is just like Joyce, pretty adventurous when it comes to eating 🫡, whilst I like the good comfort food, always

Love the matching design outfit both 😎

Have a great week and thanks for sharing again

  6. lol the guy in the back giving a heart 😂 Great video!!!! I can always count on y’all to eat and include the price! I’ve always wanted to go and now I don’t have to 😂😂😂 it looked so freaking cold

  7. haha I loved that suspiciously accurate heart sculpture best I think maybe… although the winner of the international one (the Mongolia one) SO good. It seems that Day 1 was not quite so crowded as when I went (Day… 3? I think) And you got to see it at night! SO cool… it was snowing too heavily for me to go out, also that was also the night I went to Otaru XD I was rather tired haha!
