❄️Walking Through a Snow-Covered Aomori, Winter in Northern Japan|4K Lofi Walk
Long ago, after finishing Haruki Murakami’s “Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World,” I linked my imagined Aomori city with this book, picturing the Aomori Prefectural Museum as the library in the book, and Yoshitomo Nara’s Aomori Dog as the beastly bones that store dreams. Of course, the real Aomori is far different, but this has been my longstanding fantasy of Aomori.
Beyond the museum, there is the Jomon Period Village Museum (circa 3000 BCE), preserving and reconstructing an entire Jomon village on the outskirts of the city, truly feeling like the end of the world. I plan to update with a walk through the Jomon Period Village Museum later.
This stroll starts from the Sannai-Maruyama site in Aomori city, passing by the Aomori Prefectural Office, Aomori Park, the Nebuta House Wa Rasse, A-FACTORY, Aomori Station, and then heading southwest towards the suburbs, passing through the Aomori Prefectural General Sports Park, and arriving at the Aomori Museum of Art, which is currently hosting a Yoshitomo Nara retrospective exhibition.
