Overnight in Hiroshima & Miyajima: Peace Memorial Park, Okonomiyaki & Our First Ryokan Stay!

Our journey takes us to Hiroshima Prefecture for an unforgettable overnight trip filled with history, culture, and breathtaking views. 🇯🇵✨

We begin in Hiroshima City, visiting the powerful Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Park, a moving tribute to history and resilience. After reflecting on the past, we enjoy a local specialty—Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki, a delicious savory pancake layered with noodles and packed with flavor! 🥢🔥

Next, we head to Miyajima Island, home to one of the Three Great Views of Japan. We admire the stunning floating Torii Gate and explore the island’s charming streets. To top it all off, we experience our first-ever stay in a traditional Japanese ryokan, complete with tatami mats, yukata, and a relaxing onsen.
