SNOW MONKEYS IN JAPAN:
I’ve always wanted to go to Japan to film these monkeys and finally decided to pull the trigger and go last winter. I’m thrilled because it turned out exactly how I was hoping it would. I wanted snow in the background, snow falling and a lot of monkeys.
The monkeys are called Japanese macaques, also known as snow monkeys. They are among the few wild animals that have adapted to a harsh winter climate by soaking in natural hot springs.
