Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, won the runner-up prize in the video category of the “CJPF Award 2025,” a contest for videos promoting the attractions of Japan to overseas audiences. The award-winning work “Uji has a Story” is a 6-minute 30 second movie produced by Kyoto Animation based on the fact that Uji City is the setting of the last ten chapters of Murasaki Shikibu’s masterpiece “The Tale of Genji”.
