We took the bus from Oshino Hakkai to Lake Kawaguchiko Station. It was already lunch time, so we had Hoto Noodles at Hoto Fudo. It was especially popular with tourists but queuing didn’t take too long.

Besides Hoto Noodles, there were also other mains and sides available, but I only tried the Hoto Noodles this time.

It was a large portion of noodles served in a hot metal pot. There was no meat and contained cabbage, carrot, mushroom and tofu, so it was suitable for those on a vegan diet. Miso soup base. Hoto Noodles were thick noodles that resembled thick udon noodles. The noodles were chewy in texture.
