Plan Your First Japan Trip with One of These Itineraries

These are the five itineraries I’d recommend for first-time travelers to Japan. I’ve been to Japan four times now and I’ve spent over a month in Japan cumulatively, in several different cities, so I feel good about recommending itineraries to like-minded travelers. I’ve done four of these itineraries recommended in this video, and hope to do the fifth one this year. So if you want to know how to plan a trip to Japan, how to pick destinations, or just how to spend your time there in general, I hope this video is useful to you! Please let me know if you have questions in the comments below, or if you’ve chosen an itinerary already, let me know where you’re headed!

00:00 – Intro
00:31 – Tokyo-Centered
08:20 – Big Three Loop
12:22 – Osaka-Centered
16:25 – Osaka South Loop
19:09 – Tokyo North Loop

Within these itineraries I recommend cities like: Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Sendai, Hiroshima, Nikko, Nagano, Hakone, Fuji, Shizuoka, Nara, Kobe, Himeji, and Fukushima.
