We’re exploring the snowy Yamagata Prefecture this week. Our first stop is the famous Ginzan onsen that inspired the bath house in Spirited Away, as of 2025 it now has new regulations for entry due to over-tourism. We will also visit Yamagata city, climb up Yamadera and visit the snow monsters in Zao Onsen. I hope you enjoy 🙂

    It's another riri video! What gorgeous scenery, the difference it makes when it's snowing VS when the sun peeks through the clouds… Amazing.

    Personally, love the dry cold, but less of a fan when it's wet! The path/trek to the tori gates hidden in the rock looked like a spiritual experience, but terribly treacherous. Was it only the two of you braving that path?

    Also, that yamagata beef yakiniku had me just simply drooling, that sizzle to that sear… Now i need some yakiniku too.
