ANA Crown Plaza: Must-See!
Embark on a winter wonderland adventure with us as we journey to the stunning ANA Crown Plaza Resort in the heart of Japan’s snowy landscapes! This vlog captures our entire experience, from the serene beauty of rural Japan to the exhilarating thrill of the slopes.
Our journey began after a blissful stay at an Aomori onsen resort, where we indulged in the best outdoor onsen and freshest seafood. We then took a scenic local train ride from Miwasa Station to Hachinohe Station, followed by an unforgettable Shinkansen journey to Morioka Station. The vast snow fields visible from the train were truly a sight to behold, setting the stage for our ski resort adventure.
Upon arriving at Morioka Station, we boarded the resort’s complimentary shuttle bus (remember to book in advance!). The shuttle ride offered a unique glimpse into the local lifestyle, showcasing the charm of rural Japan. As we approached the resort, its futuristic architecture, a stark yet beautiful contrast to the surrounding natural landscape, immediately captivated us.
Inside, the resort exuded warmth and luxury. We were eager to retrieve our red bag containing our snowboarding gear, which thankfully arrived safely. After settling into our comfortable, high-floor room with stunning views, we explored the resort’s impressive facilities.
Our main goal was to locate the ski rental shop, a breeze thanks to the efficient and friendly staff. The ski-in/ski-out access and secure locker room for our gear were major pluses! We then secured our 3-day ski passes and explored the specialised gear shops, perfect for any last-minute needs.
One of the highlights was discovering a massive food court offering delicious, affordable meals – a delightful surprise! After a day of exploring and gearing up, we indulged in a relaxing soak in the resort’s public onsen, the perfect way to unwind.
For dinner, we took the resort’s shuttle to Aburi-tei, a charming Japanese restaurant in a nearby satellite building. The next morning, we fueled up with a hearty breakfast buffet, preparing us for a day on the fresh, powdery slopes.
