Senjojiki, located in Takachiho, Makizono-cho, Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, is a 2.3km long promenade that takes you through the virgin forests of Kirishima Onsen Village, including Maruo Falls, where hot water from Sakaeno Onsen and Iodani Onsen flows, Senjojiki, with its 200m long, 15m wide bedrock riverbed, Nunobiki Falls, and the rock bath that is said to be the oldest in Kirishima. One of the attractions is being able to see the forest ecosystem up close, and it is most mystical and recommended to visit in the early morning or when it is foggy.
