I traveled to Niigata in winter.
Niigata is a rice-producing region and is home to many sake breweries.
Imayotsukasa Sake Brewery I visited this time holds Sake brewery tour.
And, I visited Kiyotsukyo Gorge in Tokamachi next day.
The Kiyotsukyo Gorge Tunnel, which combines the scenery of Kiyotsukyo with art, seems to be a popular tourist destination with foreigners too.
On the way back, I took the tourist train “OYKOT” and enjoyed the journey through “Japan’s spiritual homeland.”
It was cold in Niigata, but there were sceneries which can be enjoyable because it’s cold.
