About Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park ๐Ÿ’โ„๏ธ
This famous park is home to wild Japanese macaques (snow monkeys) that love to bathe in natural hot springs. The park is located in Jigokudani Valley, deep in the mountains of Nagano, where heavy snowfall creates a magical winter wonderland. The best time to visit is from December to March, when the monkeys gather around the hot spring to stay warm!

๐Ÿ’ก Did you know?

Only monkeys are allowed to bathe in the hot spring! Humans can watch, but we have to stay dry.
The park was established in 1964 and has been a popular destination for wildlife lovers ever since.
The hierarchy among monkeys is strong โ€“ I captured some amazing moments of them eating, fighting, and playing based on their social structure.

About Zenkลji Temple & Nakamise Street ๐Ÿฏโœจ

After visiting the Snow Monkey Park, I explored Zenkลji Temple, one of Japan’s most important Buddhist temples, founded in the 7th century. It houses Japanโ€™s first Buddhist statue, and many people visit it for spiritual blessings. The nearby Nakamise Street is a must-visit, with beautiful Edo-style buildings, traditional shops, and delicious local treats! ๐Ÿก
