AKITA, Japan 4K Travel Walk A Cruise Port Day
Hello friends! Today, we have one day to explore the city of Akita. Akita 秋田市, is the capital and most populous city of Akita Prefecture, Japan. We arrive via cruise ship and the city certainly made us all feel very welcome! A day is not enough time to fully explore but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. I hope this inspires you to visit. Many of the attractions in the Akita prefecture are outside of the city and we’ll have to come back to enjoy the natural beauty of this area in the future.
The Cruise Port Terminal is a short distance away from the city center. On the days where there are cruise ships, JR East Rail schedules a Cruise Shuttle train which will take cruise passengers from the Akita Port Station to the Akita Station 15 minutes away. Keep a look out for the table in the terminal selling the tickets. The website link is below.
