Miyajima: The Perfect Day Trip From Hiroshima

Miyajima, otherwise known as Itsukushima Island, is one of the BEST places in Japan to visit. Packed with sights to see, wonderful food options, incredibly scenic view points AND the famous floating torii gate, among many other things, Miyajima is known as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan! So much so that many people opt to stay there a night or two, and quite rightly so because it deserves that much.

For me though, during my recent trip to Japan, traveling all throughout the country for a month and a half, my plan was already set in stone and I stayed in Hiroshima. So I could only fit in a day trip to the island. But was that enough? You’ll soon see in this episode…
