4K Tokyo 🇯🇵 : Colossal Urban Redevelopment – Azabudai Hills

In the first episode of Japan Architectural Tour we invite you to discover the new important landmark of Tokyo – Azabudai Hills – a colossal urban redevelopment initiative which took more than 30 years. Azabudai Hills is a complex of three skyscrapers and the public space which includes residential complexes, retail spaces, a school, art galleries, two temples, offices, and restaurants — all set within a publicly accessible landscape. The three skyscrapers of Azabudai Hills were designed by the Argentine studio Pelli Clarke Pelli Architect. Both the public space and podium-level architecture were designed by the London-based Heatherwick Studio. The Mori JP Tower became the tallest building in Tokyo upon its completion in 2023.
We will explore and experience the 3-dimensional concept of the city of Tokyo – the largest metropolitan area on the planet. We will also visit some particualar temples and to see the Tokyo Tower at night.
