A look inside Akita Station where people meet their friends and loved ones very often from commute between Tokyo and Akita. Here I surprise my brother-in-law Hisaya by walking up behind him at a Sake tasting bar, and I see the only non-Japanese people that I have seen in the last week in Akita, a couple on tourism from Germany. Akita has a population of about 300k people and Americans are few and far between. It’s a wonderful place to visit if you come to Tokyo for tourism. Consider Akita.
