Taken yesterday – Maruyama Senmaida rice fields! You can do the Toritoge pass & climb to a viewpoint to see the rice fields and surroundings, and then on your way back you get to walk right through them. I delayed my plans just so I could visit here (35 min bus from Kumano then a walk or longer hike along the Toritoge route) and no regrets – so stunning! [Actually, I would’ve loved to see the rice fields at sunset/sunrise, but I would’ve needed a car for this because the buses only run in the daytime when it’s light (at least in summer) π’π’next time]
