What annoyed me about people complaining about this POV or disappointed from it, is this was a poorly shot POV because filming is strictly prohibited. The ride isn't officially out yet, so we don't know for sure what they added in. There were people saying it looks slow but are forgetting it's a family coaster, so it's aimed mainly for kids. And to top it off, the one at Epic might be completely different from Japan's, for example the waterfall will be at Epic but Japan's won't have one.
Definitely kinda looks eh and I already know the Mario kart ride blows I honestly expected more.
The camera placement was poorly decided upon, but I expect the ride to be better than this pov looks. Its just badly filmed.
I really hope Universal uses some of the criticism to improve the version in Epic Universe
The epic universe version may not look like this (indoor portion), japan had the issue of space while Orlandos doesnt. USJ also had major problems with the ride which is why it was delayed so long. In that time they most likely communicated with the Orlando/Epic Universe team to avoid any of the issues they were facing. EU waterfall will also look much better than the mist, and even parts of the fake track already look significantly better at epic which is strange.
I feel like it’s a tad bit short for an IP like Donkey Kong.
It's not an area of the park I'm super excited to go to but it looks fun and until I ride something I can't say how good it is.

I feel like the whole switch track section will be dimly lit, we can see the ceiling because smart phones auto corrects the brightness of the footage

I’m not a Nintendo fan prefer PlayStation. I do like Donkey Kong but this looks very underwhelming. Epic Universe really is looking like a cheap knockoff of Disney World. Universal is hurting themselves IMO by showing too much too soon. I don’t think this will surpass Islands of Adventure. The only lands I’m really interested in are Celestial Park and Monsters. I’m losing faith because they have overhyped it and have done better attractions in the past IMO
My guess is they wanted to get it open sooner rather than later so that they could estimate the actual capacity in practice before Epic opens

I'm excited for this filming was ban in this part of the park in Japan so I understand the pov but this looks like a wild mouse almost themed to donkey Kong with a new ride system it's going to be fun I'm a little worried about how tight people may fit in those cars thoe but we will see

It seems to me like both Lyft Hills aren’t launches but a chain. I swear I can hear a chain and it looks like it grabs onto something.

I think it looks great, with the exception of the indoor section with the steel roof. If it looks like that, big miss. If not, It's exactly what I thought it would be.

Maybe that scene will normally be dark with some glowing elements but they just happened to have work lights on during this test ride
