I visited the newly opened Donkey Kong Country area at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan.
I enjoyed Donkey Kong-themed attractions and food.
I also tried Marioβs limited-edition winter sweets.

When Nintendo released the Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong games beginning 80's, it was a revolutionary step into the world of gaming. Everybody started to live the adventures of Mario and Donkey Kong. Now we are fourty years later and a massive theme park was created honoring those two. Nintendo changed our worlds and i thank them for that. Awesome video once again! And yes, i would have totally bought that mug also myself π

i love how japan themed it it looks so cool
The ride will sure disappoint a lot of person. The same person who didn't like the Mario area. But I loved this last one and I'm really impressed of how they create the whole land. So much effort into little details and as the Mario area, you're 1000% surrounded in 360 by the world of DK this time. Even the rollercoaster itself is quite "unique" (obviously it exist but I never did something like this) with a whole new type of mechanics to make the illusion works.
The park is for children and family and people need to understand that. I just hope that the watch works in the two areas cause it's still expensive

i love this so much already but the little blue pikmin on the mine cart ride made me even more happy. I love pikmin so much, and it's really cool that they included some!

14:35 It's amusing with how theme parks are designed that you find yourself in the middle of a lush, lively tropical jungle, with ruins, the minecarts, and drums all around you…
…and then there's Hogwarts towering over the background.
It makes you wonder what Harry Potter thinks seeing all this monkey business behind his school.π

I wonder how the guy in the DK costume manage to find a balance to even lift his arms. Seems like the costume is heavy to wear

Looks amazing however, I wish they added another ride attraction or two to Donkey Kong Country so that the Donkey Kong mine cart wouldn't have such a massive wait time

This looked so much fun. The mine cart roller coaster looks so much fun. Looking at the track I didn't know how they did it. My wife and I had to pause and play multiple times to figure it out.
It would be CRAZY for Universal Studios to not do a Donkey Kong Country Land w/o a Mine Cart Rollercoaster Ride.
