Osaka. Namba Jinja ( Namba Shrine)

Namba Jinja is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the 16th Emperor Nintoku . 16th emperor of Japan. Nintoku was the first emperor to move the capital of Japan in Osaka.
The shrine was built in approximately 415 C.E, during the reign of the 18th emperor Hanzei, in Kawachi – Matsubara City, Osaka Prefecture , which was the capital of Japan at the time. Later, in 1583 C.E. Namba Jinja was moved to it`s present site.
The Shinden ( main sanctuary building ) was burned down as the result of an air raid on Osaka during World War 2 . The current reinforced concrete building was rebuilt in 1974.

  2. Lovely!😍 I also visited Namba Shrine during my stay in Osaka. It's a tranquil and peaceful place at busy city center. I hope you get lots of power after you touch the Old tree! 🌳💪😄
