ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2024年11月に岡山県鏡野町にある「砥峰高原」に行きました。

・奥津渓

名勝奥津渓は、奥津温泉の下流３ｋｍに渡り流れる吉井川沿いの渓谷で、昭和７年４月１９日に文部省より「名勝地奥津渓」に指定されています。
吉井川の源流と花崗岩が数十万年の歳月をかけて自然が形造った臼渕の甌穴群は「東洋一の甌穴」ともいわれています。
春は新緑にコブシやシャクナゲ、ツツジの花が咲き、夏は深緑と透明度抜群の吉井川に、山頂から吹き下ろす冷風、秋は真っ赤なモミジやブナ・カエデを始めとした紅葉の絶景が広がり、冬の樹氷と雪景色など、四季を通じて風情に富んだ素晴らしい渓谷美を楽しむことができます。
近年の自然志向の高まりにより、年間１２万人を超えるの観光スポットとして人気を集めています。

紅葉見頃：10月下旬～11月中旬

・奥津もみじ祭り2024

真紅に染まる奥津渓の紅葉は息を呑むほどの美しさといわれていますが、夜の奥津渓もステキです。
日中とは違った美しさに出会える奥津渓のライトアップは、暖かな光が木々の紅葉をアートのように映し、暗闇に浮かび上がる真紅の自然美が幻想的な夜を演出します。

開催期間：2024年10月26日（土）～ 11月17日（日）
※毎年10月下旬～11月上旬頃
奥津渓ライトアップ：17:00～21:00

I would like to introduce some places I went to on a whim.

In November 2024, I went to “Tonomine Plateau” in Kagamino Town, Okayama Prefecture.

・Okutsu Valley

The scenic Okutsu Valley is a valley along the Yoshii River that flows for 3 km downstream from Okutsu Onsen, and was designated as a “Scenic Okutsu Valley” by the Ministry of Education on April 19, 1932.

The Usubuchi potholes, which were formed by the source of the Yoshii River and granite over hundreds of thousands of years, are also known as “the best potholes in the Orient.”

In spring, the new green leaves are blooming with magnolia, rhododendron, and azalea flowers, and in summer, the deep green and crystal clear Yoshii River is accompanied by the cold wind blowing down from the mountaintop, and in autumn, the spectacular view of the bright red maples, beech, and maples spreads out, and in winter, the frost-covered trees and snow scenery spread out, making it possible to enjoy the beautiful and picturesque valley beauty throughout the four seasons.
Due to the growing interest in nature in recent years, it has become a popular tourist spot with over 120,000 visitors per year.

Best time to see autumn leaves: Late October to mid-November

・Okutsu Momiji Festival 2024

The crimson-colored autumn leaves of Okutsu Valley are said to be breathtakingly beautiful, but Okutsu Valley at night is also wonderful.
The illumination of Okutsu Valley, where you can experience a different beauty from the daytime, makes the autumn leaves of the trees look like art with warm lights, and the crimson natural beauty that stands out in the darkness creates a fantastic night.
