Fall foliage in Nara, Muroji temple (Uda city) ② #autumn #japan #pagoda #temple #mountains

At the foot of Mount Muro, Muroji Temple was built in the late Nara period (710-794). Unlike Mount Koya in Wakayama Prefecture, which prohibited women until 1905, this temple was one of the few that welcomed women. Even today, it continues to attract many female visitors. A 700-step climb leads to the summit, rewarding you with breathtaking scenery.

The fall foliage at Muroji Temple typically peaks from late November to early December.
This video was taken on November 9 2022. For 2024, the peak time is forecasted to be later than in previous years.
