The Sendai Yakurai Garden hosts the Hoshiakari Illumination, an enchanting winter light festival that transforms the gardens with sparkling LED “star” lights and serene, candle-like effects, creating a peaceful, starry-night ambiance. Set in Kami, Miyagi Prefecture, this annual event provides a unique way to enjoy nature illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights.
This year’s festival runs from early October through the end of November, and the garden is open from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The entrance fee is 800 yen for adults, with discounted prices for children and free admission for children under elementary age and people with disabilities   .
