Hakone was an absolute standout for us during our Japan trip! It was so nice to get out of the big cities for a couple of days and enjoy being surrounded by mountains. ⛰️
You can do a one day trip to Hakone from Tokyo. It’s a big day but a popular way to see the area.
We didn’t want to rush though so we spent 2 nights in Hakone and it was the perfect amount of time to do the Hakone loop and see a few other sights before headed on to Kyoto.
