Hayabusa to Sendai, Highlights (4K) (Downtempo Synthwave)
After the immersion therapy of Tokyo, dumping me into the thick of it in what Japan has to offer, it was time to head north. I had a packed schedule ahead of me, and the best way to get about was going to be the shinkansen, wherever possible. For this purpose I had purchased a Japan Rail pass for 14 days – not cheap, but neither are the trains, and it gave me the freedom of using them as a glorified hop-on, hop-off service if I so wished. I was going to get my moneys worth.
The journey time from Ueno to Sendai is something like 2 hours or so, you will notice this video is significantly shorter – much of the route passes through sections either with tall barriers to block the weather (as you can see at various parts that I’ve cut between) or tunnels through hills. But it is a good compromise between scenery and speed.
