My biggest reality check was going to Manassas. I was expecting it to be like Gettysburg, like a small civil war town, and saw nothing but urban sprawl, taquerias, and a 4mile long battlefield (it’s bigger than that but just making a point) and once you left those battlefield parameters you were hit with Aldi, hotels, Perkins, Walmart…..and my father said stop with the Gettysburg expectation because Gettysburg is Gettysburg. So I say that to say after visiting a couple times I love Gettysburg but what makes it even better is the surrounding areas have not been heavily hit like the areas around it. You can leave Gettysburg and see hills, farms, and not be inundated with Jersey without being in Jersey.
Great show with great advice. Currently going to Nursing school right now and looking to move after finishing up school. But I will be renting first 😊
