2024 Mt Fuji (10 Jul) | Cycling & Glamping in Kawaguchiko
8 – 16th July 2024 | 9 days in Japan.
Mt Fuji hike on 10-11th July where the winds were crazy, hitting speeds of 90km/h at the top. We did not manage to summit that day as we felt that it was too dangerous. We stayed at 8th Station (Horai-kan hut) and it was such a good experience despite the unforgiving weather. After the descent we cycled around Kawaguchiko lake and tried glamping for the first time!
This is the first year Japan is introduction restrictions to manage tourist at Mt Fuji, and as a tourist, though it was a little more challenging to make the bookings, but it made the climb more pleasant and safer.
