    Can't wait to see where you go ! I loved Japan when I went there many years ago. I especially loved taking the bullet train to Kyoto.

    Flew into Tokyo a number of years ago now. We pre-purchased the Japan Rail Passes in the US, so our first morning we had to go trade the vouchers for tickets, caught the train to Nagasaki, I spent most of the ride falling asleep due to the time difference. Have a great trip. Did a day trip at the end of our trip up to Lake Chuzingi in the mountains and had the best miso soup ever at a small family run restaurant.

    2020 florida to japan to cruise was taken away because of the covid stuff. we never re-booked, we also had australia booked and south america all in the spring of 2020 all fell through.

    Enjoy your trip to Tokyo! I love Japan. So clean, safe and the people are so polite. Despite the massive numbers of people in the city, somehow everyone is able to walk around without any issues. Great thing is that eating in Japan does not require tipping. Also if you do any shopping, you can claim your taxes back if the items total over 50 bucks (but check to make sure). Be sure to visit the Ueno district. There is a great park there and also a very interesting street market. Shinjuku is a great place to stay because a short walk from your hotel brings you to some night life.

    Just got back. The hotel breakfasts were amazing as well as the hotel included amenities. I stayed in a Japanese branded hotel and it was much cheaper. Main thing that surprised me about Tokyo was how quiet it was! Far cry from NYC!

    Why? Why? Why? Do people not stay in Japanese brand hotels? Like the Prince hotels…so much cheaper sooooo beautiful and the best eating venues.

    Japan is my happy place! One of my most fav types of videos is watching people experience Japan for the first time, it’s like watching children go to Disneyland for the first time.
    Tip on searching for flights to Tokyo don’t forget to look at the Asian carriers. I’ve flown on both US carriers in premium Econ and many Asian carriers in economy, it’s been my experience that the premium economy seats on US carriers are similar to the economy seats and service on the Asian airlines so compare those prices and the what you get for each class of service.
    I’m looking forward to seeing your Japan series!!
