Another 🇵🇹 Gem! There is a large number of buildings that appear to be boarded up, yet a surprising number of beautifully maintained homes as well. I can’t imagine 3 hours of sunlight and the houses having very little windows. The roofs of slate were a bit of a surprise (for me). What an absolutely gorgeous area.
P.s. had to laugh when the dog went back… and laid down. LOL 😂

I would not call it a 'paradise' – this place is not well cared for, pretty scruffy in fact, and the lack of sunlight in winter will obviously make it undesirable for even the hardy – solar panels will not be much use in winter !!! So I see a sad, neglected village, not much hope for the future either ! That's tough if it's the only home your have !

Uma aldeia encantadora! Aquela água, no tanque, que parece estar entrando em jatos, lembrou-me o "carneiro", uma bomba que era usada nas fazendas dos meus parentes, no Sul de Minas. Ainda deve ser usado, não sei. Há muito tempo não vou lá. O barulho que o carneiro faz é bem típico e eu sempre gostei dele. É um barulho rítmico e que, conjugado com barulho de água, traz calma e relaxamento. Deu saudades!

I imagine these people have electricity because of the turbines. When i visited my Mother's family in Spain, especially in Tenerife, I loved seeing the turbines up close. They are massive, and I didn't hear any noise from them. They are a sight to behold, along the landscape.
That is awesome…they are laying around the only shaded area they found. They don't want to move for anyone….maybe you need to say "CAR"….
Imagine that road on a rainy day and in the dark. No barriers and narrow paths….
