Despite a 90% chance of rain and the certainty of not seeing Mt. Fuji, we decided to go ahead with our pre-booked tour through Klook. With high hopes and rain gear in tow, we set off on our adventure.

Our first stop was the iconic pagoda with the backdrop of Mt. Fuji. Unfortunately, the rain was relentless, and thick clouds completely obscured the mountain. We couldn’t even reach the pagoda due to the heavy downpour. It was a bit of a letdown, but we tried to keep our spirits high.

Next, we visited Oishi Park, another spot famous for its stunning views of Mt. Fuji. Again, the weather didn’t cooperate. The mountain remained hidden behind a thick veil of clouds, and the rain showed no signs of stopping. Instead of getting the perfect Fuji shot, we indulged in some delicious ice cream and fresh strawberries from a nearby store. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the experience worthwhile.

Our final destination was the Gotemba Premium Outlets. Known for its great deals and variety, we hoped to find some bargains. However, there were no major discounts during our visit, so we left empty-handed. It was a bit disappointing, but window shopping and exploring the vast outlet mall was still enjoyable.

Despite the less-than-ideal weather and the missed opportunity to see Mt. Fuji, the trip was still an adventure. We made the most of the rainy day, finding joy in the small moments. I do hope Klook considers offering more flexibility for tours like this in the future, especially when weather conditions are so unfavorable.

All in all, while the day didn’t go as planned, it was a reminder to cherish every moment, even if it doesn’t turn out as expected.
