[Music] so you want to go to Nairobi Kenya but you don’t know where to stay what to do for fun or where to eat well you clicked on the Right video because we’re going to help you plan all of that right now we’re coming to you live from the Hemingways Nairobi um it’s a highet property a part of their small luxury hotels um category it has been a fantastic stay so far yes everyone is kind and very helpful and the grounds are just beautiful and so well-kept um it’s just it looks so much better than what it does online in person it’s just beautiful even our room we weren’t even expecting to get an upgrade but yeah I don’t have got blessed I don’t have any High status or we don’t have any High status uh but upon checking in they let us know that they upgraded us to a suite um and it’s been very nice so far it actually comes with Butler 24-hour Butler Service it also comes with breakfast they have a buffet style and Al dining um the buffet has a bunch of fruit and the fruit is so good the pool here is beautiful um it’s not a very big hotel like I said it’s a part of the small luxury hotels collection um but the pool is beautiful and because there’s not that many guests there’s almost never anybody there at the pool so you almost always have it private and to yourself yeah I I went down to the pool today and I basically had it to myself the entire time I was there and I was there for like over an hour I don’t know if it’s because we’re here in December I don’t know what the like high seasons are here but basically I felt like I had the property to myself everything is just very private and intimate but very like it’s very spacious at the same time like if you look at it it’s just so much space so much land so the grounds are expansive here mhm so I booked this through Hyatt um it was 25,000 points a night um for the standard room um we did three nights so 75,000 points in total I transferred uh from Chase Ultimate Rewards over to Hyatt the transfer was instantaneous and then I was able to just book The Room it was very easy to do um and it’s a great use uh of your Chase you points some of the activities that we’ve done in naobi so far are we went to like the beads Market yeah I would definitely recom commend we’ve been using gety your guide and Viator for most of the excursions that we do when we travel um but yeah we booked it through there and it included access uh to the Kobe beats Factory they showed us from start to finish how they make all the products that they have by hand like I actually got this bracelet from there I don’t know if you can see it there we go very nice um handmade beaded work [Music] we are at the David sheldrick Wildlife trust uh here they take in they rescue orphaned elephants you know sometimes they get abandoned by their mother because they’re too weak or they could be victims of human Wildlife violence or sometimes the mother just dies of whether natural disease or maybe the mother was attacked starved yeah all sorts of things but what they do they take them in they care for them they feed the milk and get them strong and healthy enough to be reintroduced back into the wild the elephants were super excited to meet us naturally because they know they’re about to get fed so I can’t say I blame them it was really cool watching them interact with each other we really aren’t a fan of zoos mainly because we feel sorry for the animal so we don’t really go to them but here at the sheldrick wildlife trust it’s totally different the animals are rehabilitated and the best part is that they’re nurtured to eventually return to the [Music] wild you can tell that the elephants and the Rhinos were very well cared for and that they have a special relationship with their caretakers this little Rhino would not leave this man’s side he followed his every step nibbled on his clothes and it was literally the cutest thing to [Music] see I cannot believe we’re in right now we are in the motherland like it’s beautiful the air is different the fruit tastes so much sweeter listen it’s amazing so the elephants only come out between 11: and 1200 so you have an hour to pet them and see them get fed and make sure that you come on time a little bit early um our driver told us to get really close to the bar you’ll know what the bar is when you walk into the entrance get really close so you can get front row seats to see the elephants and the Rhinos cuz the embankment or whatever the their enclosure it it there isn’t that much space and once it gets really crowded if you’re not here on time it’s going to be really hard to get a good view so you can take some good pictures and videos and even be able to interact with the elephants right can’t wait to show you guys more next stop was the giraffe Center this place is very well known in Nairobi because it plays a crucial role in the conservation of the endangered Rosal giraffe through their reading program they aim to increase the population and reintroduce giraffes into their natural habitats so that’s automatically a win-win for us it’s definitely worth a visit here we were even able to feed the giraffes not going to lie feeding them was so weird their tongues were super long and we were trying our very hardest not to come in contact with it thankfully these giraffes were patient and very friendly [Music] if you’re in Nairobi and you’re looking for a spot to have some fun then bow boox is worth a visit this isn’t just an ordinary cafe nor is it simply a place to eat it’s a combination of entertainment and social interaction so bring some company with you because you’re going to want to share this [Music] experience bow boox offers a wide selection of board games mini golf darts which leavon was definitely kicking my butt at but we’re not going to talk about that and so much more making it the perfect perfect destination for a fun afternoon with family and friends let’s get into some restaurants to enjoy the first being The Tamarind Brasserie this is a beautiful Garden restaurant located in Nairobi Kenya this restaurant features delicious menus which include Seafood traditional African meals and barbecues the reviews on Google were solid so we decided to give it a try and turns out it did not disappoint we started off with the mangrove oysters and we devoured them because they were so good they grilled them with garlic butter soya and coconut and they were absolutely [Music] delicious we just knew based off of our appetizer that the rest of the meal was going to [Music] hit as you can see leavon is very excited to try his chipati which is basically like a Roy flatbread sort of thing we both ordered fish and they each were tasty but I will say Leon’s was a little bit more flavorful [Music] even the sauteed veggies were delicious so we definitely recommend coming to this restaurant if you’re in Nairobi the next restaurant we recommend checking out is called carnivore it is a well-known restaurant that offers a unique dining experience and it’s famous for its all you can eat meat Buffet the moment you walk in you’re met with mouthwatering smells of grilled meat the meats are roasted on traditional msai swords over a massive charcoal pit in the center of the [Music] [Music] restaurant the waiters serve the meat directly to your table slicing it onto your plate until you signal that you’re [Music] full the extensive selection of meats include beef pork lamb chicken and more the restaurant also offers a variety of side dishes as well salads and sauces to complement the meats [Music] the staff at carnivore were welcoming and attentive making a memorable dining experience for the both of us you can tell by the look on our faces that we weren’t really impressed At
