[Music] [Music] greetings from the great city of hoshima in Japan and it’s one of my favorite cities in this beautiful country so this is my second visit to hoshima and today I’m just going to walk through some parts of this uh City and one of them is that uh iconic building that you see right there the um the atomic bomb exploded about 600 M away from from that building and 600 m above uh the ground so they the hyper Center of the explosion actually was not above that building so I will go there now and uh take a look at it and this video is not the first video I filmed in hoshima I was here about a year and a half ago in December 2022 and today’s date is May 20 T8 so let’s go now to that um hyp Center where the uh the atomic bomb exploded about 600 m above that uh specific uh spot so I am staying this time in hoshima for four nights and I decided to stay four nights because last time I visited the U hoshima peace Memorial Museum and I did not have enough time to finish the whole thing so I said this time I will uh allocate more time in this city so that I can learn the the historical facts because the museum is very very huge and um and probably I’m gonna spend there the entire day but I’m not gonna film it of course and the um what else there are other three small museums that I also want to visit and they are within walking distance in this area and one of them is the is the bank that with stod the blast of the bomb the underground safe of that bank is now a gallery and a museum and I would like to go and take a look and what else the uh the elementary school also that is now a museum and it has the messages of the people who survived the bomb written on the walls I will go there as well but like I said they may not be in this video they may not be in this video cuz I don’t like to film inside museums and I don’t want to be distracted with the camera and YouTube and all that kind of stuff you can check out my old video of hoshima in that video I visited a beautiful castle as well that is not far from here but in this video I will definitely go to the observation deck right there that beautiful building over there that was open in 2016 and it has a viewing platform of this iconic building that that’s still standing to this day so this building was built in 1915 it had a great Dome it was called the green Dome and it’s the only structure that uh withstood with stod the blast of uh that horrible devastating bomb right there and it’s now a UNESCO world heritage site see I can get a nice view of it if I walk down the stairs a little bit and capture the view from here but because of the sun it’s facing uh my camera my face will be um blocked by the glare of the Sun the afternoon sun so I’m going to walk now to the hyper Center where the actual bomb exploded yeah it exploded 600 m above above the ground and approximately 600 M away from 490 to 600 M away from this building we will go there now and check it out and the uh the observation deck I think is on the 13th floor on that building I tried to come here last night hoping that I will get a nice view of the city at night but they close they close at 6:00 p.m. so I was a little bit uh disappointed you see I’m trying to go all the way up up there I was hoping that it will give me a nice view of the city during sunset you know and that’s the best time to capture nice uh footage of this beautiful city a kid is uh crying and the peace Memorial Park is uh it’s not that far from here just a few blocks away about 2 minutes walk to the pieace uh Memorial Park and might go there I filmed the entire park in my old video of heroshima I’m going to put the link to it that visit was during uh in in December 2022 and the weather was uh was nice at the time and there is a beautiful Memorial right here let me take a look at it while I’m getting finding my way to the hyper Center will be nice if they have uh the description um in uh in English for people to to read and there is a beautiful shopping arcade right there I walked there last night and I actually filmed it I’m not quite sure if I’m going to put it in the on YouTube or not right there is the shopping arcade and the spot where the uh the bomb exploded in 1945 let’s wait for the uh light all right every time somebody talk loud behind I try to speed up walk fast to to stay away from from them so they don’t distract the uh audio quality of the video right there is the hyper Center you see where those people are standing used to be a hospital here that completely was destroyed by the Black last and here we go now the place is to myself because not a lot of people come here this is exactly where it exploded about 600 m above this exact location that I am standing here right now 600 m above the the atomic the first atomic bomb exploded and I can uh let you read it for you read it for yourself the first atomic bomb used in the history of human can exploded approximately 600 m above this spot so you can pause the video and and read and let these uh people uh read right now they saw me reading and taking photos they came back they came back probably they forgot to capture a photo I have no idea but now we will go to that observation deck and we will see if I can uh go to the 13th floor to get a nice view of the city let’s go see I’m walking toward the building and I see a big line I hope that’s not the line to to get to the building I don’t want to wait that long or maybe they’re waiting for to get in the restaurant see this is the building but it doesn’t look like uh like this is the line to get in because they’re all Japanese and this uh and this restaurant is a Japanese restaurant so let’s figure out where to how to get there this is the one that I’m trying to go to the observation deck right here [Music] [Music] a [Music] so let’s now go to the um to the 12th floor really interesting to see what that square is [Music] this is another Observatory deck on the 12th floor and I kind of liked this one better than the one on the 13th floor [Music] you see now this place is the the entire place is to myself you look nobody nobody’s [Music] here you see you can’t slide all the way to the to the first floor right there but I think that is for kids but let me see what’s going on at least I can capture it uh on camera and uh I decided to walk down the stairs as opposed to taking the elevator to the uh to the first floor because they told me that you’re going to see a lot of beautiful arts on the wall wall arts and I said okay let’s do that and it’s kind of expensive I mean 2,200 uh Yen and that’s a little bit above average about $4 us [Music] peace City on the moon moon of the city of Peace wall art project 1946 [Music] see I’m walking on the bridge now known as the t-shaped bridge and that was the target of the bomb but they missed [Music] it and it exploded about 490 M away right there so now I am on my way to the to one of the schools that survived the the blast because of its uh concrete building and it was the only school that used concrete uh structure so we will go there and uh check it out it’s not that far from uh from from here actually I’m not sure what they sell kicha kicha English no English English what is this English oh okay please uh this English oh okay yes yes yes enjoy life forever yes if you want to take it’s free it’s free yes okay ar oh okay byebye yes enjoy life for forever introductory Bible lessons see while I’m getting there let’s let’s uh read what it says is it possible to enjoy life forever I would say it’s possible why not depending on uh how you uh design your life but what I learned over the course of my life is that um the best way to enjoy life is to be humble and make uh things easy do not complicate your uh your life make it have a very very simple lifestyle no matter how much money you earn no matter how powerful you are if you stay humble and simple life will be easy and that’s what I learned and I also learned from my dad that concept my dad was a public figure very famous public figure in the country that I was born in but he was very very simple simple guy even though he had the power and the money to buy uh luxury stuff but everything he had was very very simple not because he could not afford it it’s just because he enjoys Simplicity in life so I I inherited that concept from him and also my mother she is kind of um Frugal not really she’s I’m not going to say she’s cheap but she’s Frugal which means she had the money but she spent it on something that has value and I learned that from my mother as well so I implemented those things frugality and simple lifestyle into my uh life and I guess this is why I enjoy life I think I would say to that question is it possible to enjoy life forever I would say yes so now let’s uh get back to that uh school I think I missed it it’s somewhere here let me pull up Google Map and I will resume filming when I get uh my stuff in order I think this is the school but the museum is uh is on the on the other side but let me read what it says here damage to this school located almost directly below the atomic bomb epicenter was indescribable and uh let’s see let’s go to the museum I think it’s closed today Google Maps says it’s closed but anyway I’m not uh planning to film inside but I just want to take a look at it from uh from outside look this is the um I think the concrete building the former honkawa National Elementary School was first was the first reinforced concrete School building in all of heshima you see the reinforced concrete walls and the basement were the only things that managed to survive the blast on August 6th let’s take a look this is where I’m going to go tomorrow God’s willing so the basement and part of the original hibu School building were preserved as a testament to the destructive power of nuclear weapons and on May 1988 this became the elementary school pce Museum so I guess you can still see the damage of the blast and from my understanding I’m I’m reading from a website that I found very very uh helpful right there it gives you the this the uh the details of this place and and out of the sudden I see a lot of people behind me so let’s go now to the uh to the next um building which is the bank the bank that has the underground safe that also survived the blast of the bomb so I was going to go to that uh Bank the former bank of Japan where the underground SA survived the blast of the bomb but uh but actually I’m going to go visit another Elementary School that also survived the the blast and that one is called furu matchi Elementary School and that’s where the um the survivors of the blast wrote messages on the wall and those messages are now still there on the wall and they make it U they make the place a museum and the one that you saw earlier that was also an elementary school it’s called H Kawa you already saw that the first concrete um building in all of hoshima and I said I’m going to go to that elementary school because it’s on my way to the bank so I will go to the also to that former bank of Japan uh later they they are all uh within uh walking distance and here is the atomic dome right there see on my way to that elementary school I see the uh the shopping arcade right here but I’m not interested in filming shopping malls I got tired of them there are so many so many shopping arcades in uh in Japan after a while they all look the same with just slight slight variation let’s stick to the plan and uh and find that historic building you see right now I am in the heart of the uh of hoshima and a lot of going on right uh right here heavy traffic see I am almost there right there maybe this is the one hey look uh it’s called fuku Machi National people school elementary school the school wooden buildings were completely destroyed and burned by the atomic bombing at 8:15 a.m. on August 6th I like the uh actually the details that I can read from this website it’s called peace tourism Peace dtmc So the school was one of the Clos schools to the blast following the bombing the remains of the school were used as a shelter shelter and hospital for victims and during demolition messages were messages written on the Walls by the survivors were discovered wow so they discovered actually the messages during Demolition and they decided to make it uh a museum so if you want to read the messages of the survivors the messages that they wrote on the walls come to this um Museum and I’m going to go tomorrow and shoes AR number 10 number 10 okay English Okay English okay arato well I I was planning to film you tomorrow but I said okay since I’m already here let’s go [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] all right I spent about half an hour inside that Museum and now I am on my way to the former bank of Japan but I see this uh also historic site I guess s Sano Historic Site Museum it’s a little bit windy right here see the bank is just one minute walk right there the former bank of Japan now it’s a gallery right there but I’m not quite sure what this place is it’s not on my uh agenda so but I’m just going to take a look get a glimpse of what this place all about I can see the picture during the uh maybe this is after the bombing how it look like but uh tomorrow I said I’m going to allocate uh my time for the museums and it will be just uh no cameras no YouTube nothing my uh mind will be free of uh YouTube stuff and this is the uh the uh the gallery I think right there former Hiroshima branch of the bank of Japan free admission so should I just uh go inside and uh film like the other one the G is uh underground K camera okay camera okay camera okay inside no no camera no okay all right I just got out I went inside in the basement where the underground safe survived the blast 100% survived but they don’t allow uh cameras unfortunately I could not film I could not take any photos but I highly recommend you visit this uh place has a lot of uh history if you want to learn and also it’s free admission so now let’s go walk to the peace m Memorial Park it’s not that far from here let’s go see that is a a better view of the of the building the one that I was in earlier and I found a visitor in the gallery she is Japanese but she speaks English she was able to explain some uh some stuff to me she said that the uh the general manager of the bank before 1945 before the bombing event he actually moved all the money to the uh basement because he he worked in Europe and he had uh some kind of uh training in Europe to prepare for war war events so he knew that something like this could have happened and he followed his um the the procedures that he learned and that’s why they did not lose uh the money in the in the in that bank and a lot of uh the other local banks they lost they lost the money and they ended up borrowing the money from uh from that bank the one that I just visited I guess the other Banks did not have underground safe that could uh that had the uh the ability to withstand uh those kind of uh bombs so let’s now find where that peace Memorial Park it’s going to be a nice walk along the river [Music] strawberries [Music] [Music] [Music] see I am on my way to the to the park and it’s a little bit uh windy you can see the building right there the Atomic [Music] Dome you see when I was in those small museums I did not see any person there so all those foreign Travelers who visit Hiroshima I think they the they are only here in hoshima to visit that building the iconic building that you see the atomic Dome building and also the uh the uh the park the peace Memorial Park and the museum but they don’t uh seem to visit um the other places which I really recommend if you have the time you want to learn the history I like this Memorial right here I forgot the name of it but we will see uh we will read something oh children peace Monument I should say a monument not Memorial but the whole place is called peace Memorial Park wishing the [Music] peace see that building right there is the museum and I visited there in December 2022 but I did not have enough time at the time so definitely I’m going to visit visit it again and uh they have extended hours in the in summertime until August I think they they close at 7 p.m. but I think they require some kind of a online reservation or something like that if you want to visit the Museum outside the normal business hours that’s what I read on their official website I think President Obama visited this uh spot I forgot what here you can fact check that one so the agenda for the rest of today as far as uh filming will be to visit a beautiful garden that I did not get a chance to film last time and also to see if I can visit also the castle because it was under construction last time when I was here that will be for the filming part and then at night time no filming I will uh walk through a beautiful uh part of hoshima that I discovered yesterday which happens to be away from the touristy area and I really like it so I will go back there to have uh dinner and the reason why I am walking here toward the museum is to give you a glimpse of what you’re going to come across as far as lining up to get the ticket because it’s always busy so I recommend that you buy the ticket online to skip to skip the line it will be uh better so I’m going to grab lunch now find something to eat here and then I will continue my journal to the garden and the castle [Music] [Music] that’s [Music] [Music] see there is no shortage of uh places to to have um lunch I was going to go inside that restaurant but I saw somebody going out and I asked him do you like it he said nope go look for other places and that is what I am doing now I guess I’m just going to end up going to McDonald’s I like to eat nice meal at night dinner time but lunchtime I usually have something late McDonald’s will do well I guess or maybe be try this one Teryaki Hiroshima chicken set menu for 890 yen [Music] [Music] all right this is the garden that I am trying to visit I took a a bus to get to get here because it’s quite a long walk from where I was earlier and I heard that this is a beautiful garden that I did not visit last time and in case you want to check out the castle check out my uh video that I filmed last time I don’t think I’m going to have to go there again because I already saw the castle and also there is a beautiful Shrine there as well there was also there is also a bunker and there ground where they reported the incident of the uh atomic bomb when it happened the staff in that bunker was the first uh group of people that reported the the incident and that’s close to the shrine which is next to the castle so I’m not going to have to film it again so you can check out the video and I will put the link to that video I filmed that video in December 2022 and I think this is the entrance to the [Music] Garden this time I stayed in a a hotel paying 62 dollar per night I was in an apartment in Osaka for 2 weeks but for four nights I said I will try uh I’ll try a hotel all right let’s buy a ticket it looks like it’s a big uh Garden I got myself this uh guide map and I am following the uh the suggested uh path and it says that it’s going to take about 50 minutes to walk through the entire Garden but I like uh what I see so far I’m not sure why I missed it last time when I was in hoshima it did not uh come up uh when I was uh doing my research as far as the places that I want to [Music] visit even though it’s very very popular place in hoshima oh ganger I’m not sure if we are allowed to walk over the bridge that one that you see behind me where the lady is standing or maybe this is uh just a place to capture the a nice photo I’m looking for the Bamboo Garden supposed to be somewhere somewhere [Music] here they have two paths for people who are in rush and for people who have a lot of time to waste so the fast path is 30 minutes and the long one is 50 minutes but I am actually run randomly exploring right now without following the the map it’s better that way it’s a little bit windy though today oops let me go get there before the big group starts walking the bridge I’m only one person it’s all always better to they let me pass through cuz I’m not going to take that time not going to take that much time see the the garden was heavily damaged by the blast of the atomic bomb in 1945 and then the whole place was used uh during the the recovery period it was a refuge place and they reopened it in 1951 so it was closed for almost six years after the the bombing I’m just following the [Music] sign this seems to be a viewing platform right there you look at the view behind me is beautiful but I am competing uh with the uh the afternoon sun glare photo spot here we go this is the bamboo so far I’m not really that impressed and I’m saying in part because they put the the the Garden location is in the uh is not uh is not far away from the uh from the uh City from the hustle and bustle of the city so it’s in the middle of a modern section of the city which ruins the uh the atmosphere I like uh Gardens that are surrounded by Nature like the one I saw in U Hokkaido the historic uh Village of uh zuru the historic village of Hokkaido I mean in sapuro city that Village is a little bit remote uh in a remote location away from the from The Busy section of the city but this one you see that building right there and there is another building right there it will be nice if I don’t see any modern building around this area I want only nature and I’ve seen many many Bamboo Gardens you can check check out my videos of Kyoto I visited many places that uh have this kind of a scenery right [Music] there there’s a walking path along the river right there I’ll go check it out in a [Music] minute you see this is the one went along the the river and that’s what I’m talking about you see those buildings right there it doesn’t look uh appealing to me but the uh this Garden by the way is not new the construction began in 16 20 during the Edo period so pretty much is older than the United States of America 1620 that’s long long time ago and that’s the one of the main facts that I learned just right now I pulled up one of the websites that I usually use and that is uh gpsy city.com that’s one of the websites that I usually use when I look for walking map in uh almost every major city in the world they have uh they have that kind of stuff and it’s really U helpful and it’s free but they also have a a paid version of uh of their website that offers uh more features but I am I don’t use the paid uh feature I use the free one and what is that building I’m trying to keep this video short not long I don’t want to make it more than an hour that’s why I’m not going to include the castle because I already visited the castle like I said before just check out my old video it has the castle and also I visited many many castles in Japan not only in Japan in other parts of the world so there is no need for me to go back and film it since it’s already it was filmed back in December 2022 [Music] this seems to be a beautiful photo op right here where people are standing right there let’s go check it out I like that uh small Bridge right there we’ll try to get there yeah it’s it’s over there by the way I am going to go to a very beautiful island not tomorrow but after tomorrow very beautiful island called Mima and I will have a video of that uh for sure and that island is one of the reasons why so many people visit uh Hiroshima to do a day trip to that beautiful place and it’s uh one of the uh top places uh to visit in Japan it’s rank one of the three um most beautiful spots in in Japan it’s ranked by an agency I’m not sure what agency it’s a government agency I think there is a a viewing platform of the of that beautiful Bridge right there we’ll keep going you know it’s interesting when I do these kind of uh travel Vlog videos when I stay in one country for a little for quite a while and then I jump to another country let me uh let me interrupt the subject for a minute it looks like uh this is a museum I’m not sure it’s a Hiroshima Hiroshima Art Museum but uh the the mission for this visit is actually just to walk through the the garden when you uh when I travel and I decide to film The whatever places I visit in the in the country that I am visiting I tend to gain a lot of uh subscribers and also I tend to lose some subscribers and that is very normal for people who who do videos in different um in different countries let’s go this way because um some people like to to subscribe only to see specific country and then as soon as I change the country they have no interest in that country anymore the the new country that I am visiting so they they leave but in the same time at the same time the new country that I am that I visit I tend to gain subscribers when I when I start posting videos of that specific uh country so now as soon as I leave Japan people who who were watching Japan videos may not be interested in watching the next country that I am visiting like for example um I was where before Japan I was in Thailand and then I was in Taiwan and I was in Peru people who like Peru videos don’t necessarily like Japan videos I I got comment from one of the viewers say that he likes my Peru videos but he doesn’t like my Japan videos even though I have the same style of filming I have not changed anything nothing same and that tells tells me something that people may not be uh open-minded to explore different parts of the world or explore different culture if they like for example if they like Europe once you go to Asia no they don’t like Asia for some reason and people who like Asia once you go to Middle East now big turn off and vice versa it’s very rare to find somebody who is open-minded to to explore different cultures different uh opinions different religions you know um consider other people who think differently than than uh than they think you know and it’s very rare to find those uh those people so uh but the uh in my case I I I am open to every single race in this on in this uh on this Earth because the way I grew up from my childhood my dad uh used to work in the uh in the airline industry and every single year we used to uh to travel every single year since my childhood so I was open to different Culture open to different languages the way I interact with uh people who are different from me so that uh is almost part of has become part of my DNA which is very very tough to change it when you when you grow up when you grow so let’s find out where else I should go I think I need to get to the other side or maybe walk along the river to to finish my uh my my subject public transport is so nice let me try to walk here for the full experience I want to try it but it’s a little bit slippery and I’m going to wrap up the video in a minute it looks like there is a quiet area there to to sit down that gentleman is relaxing over there so uh traveling while I was so young my first trip I was 5 years old I remember my dad and mom took me to to India and then uh I remember every year twice summertime and then uh winter time we used to travel summer time we used to go to Europe and then uh and Asia and you name it and uh winter time we used to go to the United Arab Emirates because I have uh family members there and that’s why I like to explore different countries even if I don’t enjoy specific region of the world it’s still I am open-minded to go and explore it I have no problem so if you are watching this video and you just subscribe because you only like Japan nothing else then I I can tell you this channel is not the right one for you because guarantee in the future when I visit another country you may not like the the content my future content because may not be about Japan but if you is subscribe because you like to explore the world and you’re open-minded to other regions of the world even though you don’t like specific region or you don’t like specific kind of people but you like to explore different places that you never considered in the past then this channel might be right for you but if you are just watching this video because of Japan or because you’re visiting a specific area in Japan you you need help then I would suggest you uh bookmark the the link to the video as opposed to subscribing you don’t need to subscribe just bookmark the link on your browser so you so that you have a reference to to the specific video of Japan that I filmed when time comes to planning your trip to uh to Japan and uh and like I said uh I am visiting a beautiful island here and definitely you will enjoy it see you in that beautiful video [Music] he [Music]

  1. My Unce was in the Navy during WW2. He was on one of the 1st ships to enter Hiroshima after the atomic bomb. He didnt discuss it at length with us, only to say "it was like sailing into hell ". Years later, and by chance, I read of another naval man that had been on another ship around the same time. He was in the process of writing about it. It was a terrible piece of history, but the area was later to be successfully rebuilt, with the memory of great loss and devastation honoured and chesished. ❤

  2. I wonder if you have seen Bears that threatened you. There are no Bears in Denmark. Of cause the northern and western part of Greenland have ice Bears. The Sirius patrol, a dog sleigh patrol run by the navy in North Eastern Greenland might have seen them. If there are any greenlanders that still hunt ice Bears, they too have seen them
