we’re live streaming so it’s not like a video making day but we came across something that we just want to share and start the video with you’re just at your normal jeto vending machine Corner this one has a very classy collection of ladies and men’s underwear this is more underwear than I see in some stores Eric and I were going through deciding which ones were the best he asked me which ones I would wear I told him the burgundy and the red and he decided the burgundy but Straight Talk these are going to be one size fits all and it will not fit my booty the burgundy won’t fit my booty either and why I was choing it might fit your booty it’s a disappointment cuz those burgundy ones are pretty cool but I bet you they’re all like see-through and stuff cuz this is this is just for your porn collection this is onetime use dude this is not like you know what I’m saying like in this holler backs to uh some place that we went nigata I got underwear out of a vending machine it really is panties like no joke Ladi what the ladies shs I like the ones that show you a good picture and then these are condoms in the middle and this isn’t the only vending machine on this alley there’s also this condom machine as well is that a female condom it looks way bigger so it makes me feel like it’s a diaphragm of some sort interesting but you can also get some ice cream and hydrate what are you laughing at Eric was making fun of me earlier because I just go to little corners and I’m like oh you can continue going over there I think I’m going to you can continue going over here little smoker spot and I was like oh all right and then I saw this sign and I saw s Kona okay what kind of kona it’s the good the good Kaa in this scary little box back here just more condoms what the is going on in this episode we go for a scoot eat some ice cream and get some kisses oh it’s so sweet and soft good morning good morning it’s a fantastic day what day is it it’s our anniversary it’s April Fool’s Day yeah and we’re avoiding the internet as you told me we’re avoiding the internet that’s a bad place to be um but today we have some fun definitely packed in I don’t know if it should be a surprise or not is it Packa in it’s Packa in maybe you’ll get it from that we’re going to leave it there it’s probably in the thumbnail you can’t there are no surprises on the internet anymore like you got to Market things you know you can’t leave surprises in places so I can leave surprises here in now yesterday we live streamed a scoot from Tokyo to Nagano prefecture we’re in a little town called Saku and we stayed in a standard business Hotel I wouldn’t even call it standard I call it lesser standard yeah it was it was fine it was a business Hotel let’s just put it that way didn’t fit in the bathroom no my legs touch the walls I don’t fit you got to do that on a diagonal sorry so some people have already seen part of our adventure if you were hanging out on Twitch but um if you haven’t this to get you up to speed it was about a 5 and 1 half hourish drive from Tokyo up over a mountain range in ago and it is April 1st so we are just now getting into spring but it’s still kind of winter when you’re going over the mountains so it can be a little bit cold we’re in my snowman gear yeah so we are prepared for coldish weather up here but we also have to be prepared to take it off because it could get warm it’s like all over the map the weather it is yeah it’s sunny and we’re on scooty as you can see so we don’t have climate controls no the air conditioner is on and today and tomorrow we’re going to be I guess that’s not true it’s not on the air is on the air is on yeah yeah and if it’s hot the air is a heater trust me I know from the summer we are going to be exploring this area for the next couple days uh just for our anniversary and just to hang out and have fun together and today we are going to be heading South I think down over and around maybe some mountain is areas and then hopefully we’re going to find some uh some pacas yeah I think pacas you are you still trying to hide it or not yeah nobody knows what I’m talking about oh yeah true but the morning started off with a great day we’re off to a great start already having gone to I usually don’t remember the names of the morning set places that we go to but this one has a great name which is Hanah hosi which means flower star and Hanah hosi has one of the top morning sets it’s just toast an egg and a salad but is done very well you get coffee in it as well and was just lovely I told the lady it was a great start to our anniversary and then we had a little chitchat after that was really nice all right let’s get on scooty and start moving cuz since we’re I Haven even mentioned the amount of dangl I have nothing will fall off this bike unless I fall off this Bike N is a prefixer that is to the west of Tokyo and it’s considered fairly rural there are some cities in the prefecture but a lot of it just is Countryside and it’s very mountainous to the degree that there are certain roads that even in April are still closed for winter weather so we’ve had to make our route down to the place that we’re going a little bit different than what looked like it would be fun on the road because the roads were super squiggly and that looked like fun but then we were like wait a second it’s not the middle of April yet they’re still closed because potentially there’s snow and ice on them still just gives you an idea of just how high up this is actually going to be in some cases so luckily there are roads that we can use to bypass all those squiggles and clothess and get to where we want to go it might not be quite as squiggly and fun but it’s still not bad you get to go through all these little Villages and stuff and this is just kind of what rural Japan looks like you see a lot of this when you’re not inside of the cities and then especially when you get up under the mountains lots of little mountain Villages and things and a lot of them are honestly kind of dying because of population decline but they can still be kind of fun to go through and see uh population Decline and urban migration but I just want to state that right now I’m very happy to be wearing my uh my snow Man suit feels very comfortable I’m not worried about the air at all and uh there was one more thing I was going to say and I don’t remember oh I’m on scooty that was it I was thinking we might not get to ride up any squiggly roads but it turns out there are squiggly roads to be had and there is still a little bit of snow on the edges of the road but nothing that we have to worry about as far as slipping my scooty yeah you feel like that but I’m sitting here thinking okay maybe we shouldn’t lean on that at all like just just go slower on that might be ice I can see it’s like mostly melted we’re good I can imagine that in certain areas maybe if it goes up higher there might still be snow like literally on the roads scooty reports that we’ve got about 14° of an air temperature right now and scooty he’s you know we’ve discussed that scooty doesn’t really know what weather is scooty doesn’t know what temperature is it it’s more like 11 or so I would get probably about 10 my phone says 11 so somewhere in that area I guess you’d probably have to go up quite a bit higher before you’d end up having a situation where there was like still snow on the road but regardless we did get to find some squiggly roads and they are fun Katie has found a mountain that she can climb up looks like she’s got the right gear to be safe up there yeah I might slide down this you going to slide you think you can do it bro you got your snow pants on got my snow pants [Laughter] on oh man there’s going to be a lot of snow in my shoe but that was totally worth it that was nice that’s my butt oh no my butt’s probably really dirty you’re not an adventure in the Japanese Countryside unless you’re lost in a rice field this rice Field’s cool though it’s on a big hill so you can see that they’re terrorist and in the distance are all these mountains and stuff really beautiful out here and we are going to be dipping into hopefully something to eat here in a couple minutes just kind of hoping that these things are open because we’re in Japan and you never know it might not be open I already called one place and it was not open so I’m glad I made the call so we stood up on a very Windy Hill and Eric determined that we’re just going to give a shot to this place that’s 4 minutes away I can tell you right now it is incredi looking these people must forage out in the woods for randomly amazing looking things crazy rice there there’s just tons of stuff inside the rice that I don’t even understand what it is this looks scary I feel like whatever this is you couldn’t you wouldn’t be interested in eating it so I am going to jump into that it’s kind of like a boiled tofu on the outside and pork on the inside holy crap it’s just soaking in uh flavor I don’t it’s definitely just mainly like a pork flavor but it’s absolutely delicious all of this has to be Super Fresh one thing that Eric noted about this restaurant is that every month it has a new menu so that’s really cool but we got last month’s menu cuz it goes until tomorrow even though it’s April 1 we’re living March life but since we haven’t been here in March it’s all new for us so on the menu there are two items that you can choose from um there’s a bunch of drinks and stuff but like main courses Katie got the rice based one I got the bread based one just so we could see what both of them were like and this one has got a little soup a little bit of pork and then some of the same things that Katie had but no rice and bread of course oh it’s thick it’s really heavy and uh this actually looks quite amazing to me cuz it’s been a little bit cold out on the motorbike so like a warm soup or something feels like it’s going to be all right should also know that the heat’s not on in here yeah it’s a little cold in here but I mean these mountain people are used to like some like pretty frigid temperatures could spring for them you know what I mean um oh God the bread is just unbelievable the texture is so good it’s like a multi-grain type of bread but it’s nice and like it’s thick and Hearty like European style um I’m not totally clear on what the flavor of the soup was it’s a pretty thick almost like a porridge for a soup uh kind of like texture uh it feels like it’s potato based um it’s a hearty flavor rather than like an explosive flavor and something of note when she was bringing uh when she was when we taking our order she was like M I think think I have this no maybe we can try it for this instead like she’s kind of like thinking about what was in the kitchen like all I thought we can make it this way today it’s kind of fun cuz like she just slinging it together it’s good I’m going to try one of Katie’s um what she was excited about like maybe a miso no it’s not miso or something else it’s good whenever kind dressing they’ve got on there is like exciting this is fun I’m glad stopped here this wasn’t too expensive either for what it was like these Gourmet style like lunch sets like 12200 Yen a piece well before we scoot off to get into our action packet adventure for the afternoon still keeping that secret nobody knows oh I just wanted to say that this lunch was kind of outstanding you can see the building behind me it looks like a shed of some sort it doesn’t look like a restaurant and we went in there to really kind-hearted people ended up dropping that it was our anniversary and they ended up giving us cookies and some other snacks and sweets and we talked for a little while it’s a man and a wife who run this place they’re both like kind of Chatty and happy and they’re just slinging out really cool kind of I’m going to call it inaka food but I mean that in the poshest way possible I don’t know how to it’s Posh inaka pasaka that needs to be a thing AR Kine you’re not even looking at me you’re just looking at the screen this is genius stuff I’ve got right now you’re on the screen oh I was looking right at you but also not at you at the same time yeah and now we’re going to head down the road uh just a really sweet couple of minutes there I liked it Eric kin happy anniversary happy anniversary for the anniversary what have we come to do hang out with the most magical animals on the planet magical animals on the planet the alpacas we come to an alpaca and this is about to be Eric Klein there’s a ticket gate just behind here and once you get your ticket you running in there to find your alpaca friends I can’t wait in Japan they have vending machined everything including alpacas you buy your tickets from a little vending machine pretty pricey alpacas 900 y to get up in here I did not think about that but we will spare no expense on our anniversary for you do anything I don’t think you can double bang those bills I wasn’t trying to but wasn’t going well two bills one hand sounds like a something on the Internet yeah all right got that remember to always get your change you going to write these out Packers off on your taxes yes I found the Rolodex of the alpacas here at the farm I was recently talking to a Japanese classmate like the lady that teaches me Japanese and I asked her how many alpaca do you think I’m going to meet today and she said 50 which I thought was outrageous but uh this many is how many you can meet 16 plus 11 27 alpaca friends potential and I’m making a bingo sheet right now so pretty psyched about this just got to learn how to edit this [Music] picture let’s just mark off gaku I can tell him by his distinctive uh attitude very nice yeah that’s definitely gaku I’m going to draw a little heart around gaku I’ll pick a new color for each one Yamato Yamato he looks like a tin roof sunde oh do you like the lips yeah I told myself it’s your turn to just feel it I get nervous when they take food out I’m like so cute when they come and do my hand I get scared they’re going to bite me I’m a llama again oh yeah girl you’re the boy you’re the boy also it’s boy right yeah yeah you’re a boy this looks like somebody made out of a turd not an alaka turd those are round well in all honesty I feel like they did get the texture kind of right alpacas are not a smooth thing at all did you ring the bell I didn’t ring the bell I never do this right oh you do it like this that hurt only a little bit but still hurt none of these alpacas know their names I say their names and they just snub me oh found him yam Yamato Yamato maybe they’re just really good at snubbing maybe your alako pronunciation is poor what’s what’s the pronunciation how do I do it I don’t man well I don’t none of them making noise I don’t know what kind of noise they even make do they make sheep noises no they just straight chill they’re very relaxed we could get one of these in the house and the neighbors would never even know yeah true but it would be a mess inside the house they’ve got a stamp rally here at the Alpaca Farm and uh seems like there’s going to be four questions and I think we’ve hit the most important one right now it says do alpaca’s fart I’m going sudu yes but why would they ask that question it seems like a trick do you know what I’m saying well then if it if it is that they don’t then wow we’re all going to be stunned so this is question number two and I chose B here we go I got a two alpacas none of them are farting I haven’t seen an alpaca fart here either but I the a oh the a is nothing we got a ride farts for everyone wow I think there’s a dead alpaca over there the other thing is is this doesn’t look like a freaking alpaca to me that looks like a Tanuki or something who are we looking at like that’s not in the back of an alpaca this is tricky where are the alpaca’s hometown where are they from a Samui Peru cold Peru or B Hawai hot Hawaii a b Talk Amongst yourselves a B I think a going to have to agree with you on that one this one’s not very tricky BL out oh it’s a different stamp he’s just having a chat with the with the alpaca right now it’s funny this so easy hold on hold on hold on hold on let’s see can can you understand what’s being said here even if you can’t read it cuz it sort of just screams the answer at you doesn’t it DOI which is the alpaca’s feet this one it’s definitely got to be this one or this one I’m going with B they might be going shopping these alpaca might be going shopping Eric you can touch all the things they’ve got cotton I like that I’m creeped out and I wear cotton all the time but for some reason reaching in a little hole and feeling it is weird this is like uhy sheep this is sheep yeah Wool Wool it’s wool this is alpaca wo oh it’s so soft we haven’t figured out this yet it just says a pineapple feels like a I guess you can make some sort of fabric out of pineapple it doesn’t seem like it’s as good as alpaca and this is a mystery one Eric it looks gross oh it’s pretty soft what’s interesting about this is usually they’ll be like oh this is a mystery and then they’ll tell you what it is O I’m going human this looks human they don’t tell you and you like it’s like it’s like open up the hood and just nothing is there a pineapple in there this is tough I think there were little pictures up but yeah I don’t know me dinner I don’t know I’m going with human really looked human are we some dumb asses or what did everybody else see the answer when we didn’t see the answer it’s right here Daka is the animal and it is a camel so uh you could get a camel’s hair and use it as a wig and Katie wouldn’t be able to tell the difference for real man looks good go find you a not goodl looking camel here’s an interesting Discovery you got an alpaca there’s another one over there but you can see the ground is like kind of like a greeny whatever area that they’re on but then there’s this little area over here it’s like in the corner and there’s a pile of poop there are these things potty trained like is this a litter box for alaka will they poop in the same place if like somehow does he know are we in his toilet this is the kind of art I want at home this is incredible hey Katie if you had to this the alpaca one yeah I think that’s uh Susan oh it does look like a Susan you’re right I can’t even identify a few of these like is that ET what are we looking at here some of these I really don’t know what they are the cow looks kind of gangster I’m so losing confidence that the people that work here know what alpacas are cuz I mean I’m not like a zoologist but you know what I’m saying like let’s get down to the the question okay Al do they like showers uh a Ki they don’t like it B Dy they love it I am going to straight up go with Ki here I bet they hate it should you go sniff some alpacas first to find out I’ve seen their hair yeah they kind of look like they don’t like water I agree with you yeah we’re going a yeah we’re going a we’re wrong oh my no it’s in there it’s not wait what what’s up we’re wrong they like it they love it oh we got to get a hose man we done insulted them what will these alpaca be doing racing check it out wow fancy stuff man mhm what do you get Pride but it really hurt when we thought that were dirty heathens that didn’t take showers you think that they just did this whole thing to teach us a lesson it was set up by the alpacas who think that we’ve been insulting them for years about their their Shaggy coats throwing some soft balls and then get us in this area to make us feel dumb you thought we didn’t bathe you were wrong we’ve made our way over to the waku waku hiot which is like the exciting Square I guess and let me tell you what I am excited the waka waka hia is an area where you can go in with the females and just kind of hang out with them and they are so miraculously chill you can just walk up and touch them Le was just like just make sure you don’t touch their butts and they’ll be fine with it some of them are super fluffy cuz they haven’t cut the hair on them cuz they want to be able to demonstrate like how fluffy these things can get their personalities all seem quite distinct it’s all very magic all these M animals are just wonderful have you found out all of their names most of their names some of them I forgot this is didn’t even see me was it reacting to me yeah I think it did I think he it just caught it out of his peripheral vision or whatever you freak out tou in the back man I I was going for the side but it was moving it’s the alpaka not the albaca be careful where you touch the AL fra girl well that was Nina Nina’s skittish all right we’re going to we’re going to level up with the uh Essa and make some friends I need 100 yen all my money’s in my backpack Hana [Music] Hana UTA means song listen like explain to me the names of all of the uh lady alpacas because many of them were just straight up white and then this one is also straight up white but this is not a lady alpaca this is a boy alpaca whose name is chappie and chappie actually only has three legs which probably already picked that up before I started speaking I don’t really know how that happened I didn’t get a chance to ask the lady cuz she’s too busy naming ladies so chappie is here he hangs out in the female area but is thus still separated from the females one he can’t be in with the females because he’s going to get down on it I don’t think he can get down on a female if he wanted to ktie but he might try and could get further Hur and he can’t be with the guys because he’s just not up to Snuff so Cho’s going to living his own life here at the Alpaca Farm we have done many hours of alpaca in we were actually there quite a while to be honest right up until the point they closed and now we are heading sort of back up to Saku where we are going to be staying again tonight and the views up here are nuts this area is called the South Alps of Japan and it really does look similar to the types of mountains that you would see in Europe it’s only in Japan so it sort of feels a little different on the way there we are trying to slide our way up to a gas station hopefully we will be able to get to the gas station and then also get some ice cream before the ice cream place closes and before the gas station closes that’s the goal shout out to nuran she told us to come here and get the Jersey Hut ice cream I think this is like Jersey cow place they they brought some from Jersey or whatever and and supposed to be really good but it’s F time so we have to cheers and you are not involved in this yet I’m going to get you there all right got a cool little paper spoon here that’s not bad that I’ve heard this is famous it’s the best does it taste like Tony Soprano oh my God why is that so good I need you to take a picture from no Mana got to go yeah while you make that video I’m going to eat more of this so a lot of places in Japan are like we are famous for our ice cream and then you go into it like they have like a mein noi or a tourist stop or whatever you go into it and it’s usually fine like it’s usually not like incredible they all say it’s incredible this one’s like legitimately incredible this has like yogurt Tang on the back end mhm M yeah there’s like a Tang to it that is not typical of this stuff in that the texture is where do we applaud the CL the cows the did this like I want to meet this cow bow to them it uh it doesn’t have any ice in it either it’s just like really creamy and smooth dude everything we’ve eaten today has been incredible last year our uh thing wasn’t as good our anniversary food Stu I think is is karma coming back maybe maybe we’re just getting a win back you said last year last year was our 13 the beginning the 13th year of our marriage yeah and that’s a bad number right so we got through the 13th year now this is the 14th year beginning so now we get all the good food and all the good fun double shout out to nasan look at this Fuji wow did not expect that I just expected the cream and we we headed straight into the cream knowing that the Fuji was here but it was nice to be inside and and like warm for a moment it’s Breezy it’s windy it’s crazy cold outside so it’s nice to just be warm have a very cold dessert and then come outside for a few minutes before you go get back on the motorbike and freeze usually we get to see Mount Fuji from the other side because we live on the other side of Mount Fuji so in the afternoons when the sun is going down we don’t get the Sun hitting the side of Fuji we get the sun going down behind Mount Fuji which is a cool like look don’t get me wrong but I’m usually not up early enough in the morning to see Fuji with this effect so it’s kind of cool it’s easier to drive the other side of Japan and look at it than it is to get out of bed before before like 4:00 when the sun comes up you know what I have stuck in my head run away train never come back God name the band going on a one track is it uh Guns and Roses he’s a Guns and Roses huh that’s an interesting idea scoot scoot scooty scoot scoot scoot scoot scoot long time viewers of the channel are going to be aware of this situation that occurs in Japan where you go to a restaurant that is listed as opened usually it’ll be listed on open as Google and then you’ll check their website and it’ll be opened on their website and their Twitter will say they’re opened or whatever and you get there you might even book a reservation with the place on 41 which is today they will have confirmed it for two people at 7:00 and then it’s just closed so what we do for our um anniversary every year is we go and get like a nice pizza so Katie had done the due diligence to find a place that we could get a nice Pizza in this part of Japan and there’s apparently a good pizza place here and she’s got written confirmation from making these reservations that hey we want to have pizza blah blah blah blah and they were like okay yeah we’ll be waiting for you like this is the time blah blah blah and we got here like after a rush down the mountain in the dark and Katie rushed to change into a pretty outfit so we could well like it’s a good outfit even with the motorcycle D it she got a nice skirt on I’ve got a nice sweater on underneath we went and did all this stuff and like in a rush and then we walked over here cuz like we want to have some wine so we didn’t scoot so it was like a 20-minute walk in the cold through this neighborhood and I mean whatever but then we got here and it’s freaking closed they have the dog and uh and straight talk I booked our hotel in this area walkable from this place this is the reason we stayed where we stayed it’s just it’s brutal man like restaurants in this country are just randomly closed whenever the they want I will present to you that Google says they’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but I did not find them through Google I found them on Tabu and I contacted them directly I never checked Open dates closed dates cuz you think if you’re talking to the person who works there they’d be like gosh we’re probably closed on oh yeah yeah we can’t make a reservation that day we don’t operate on that day anyway gosh I really thought we were going to have it all we were G to have it all now cars are like showing up and I’m like is it the pizza man I made a joke like walking up I was like you know it’s going to be closed it’s closed anyway I think A Juku is here that’s what all these cars are like picking up Like A Juku like a there’s a cram school here or something that’s why these cars just showed up anyways so let’s find something to eat there’s a 7-Eleven right there they have decent Pizza all right so we found another place but it’s like 20 minutes away and they Clos at 99: which it’s like 7:30 or something right now so it’ll probably be all right we hit up the 7-Eleven cuz of warm in there so we could Google around in the warmth cuz it’s kind of cold out here to be completely real it’s like 9° outside and uh Katie got a curon of wine I guess what you’ve got tavernello the best of the best seemed like a milk jug yeah for children well we don’t have to walk very fast anymore because I called the place like while we were trotting and the guy answered the phone and they are already closed 2 hours early they just decided he screw it we’re closing today it’s just going to close this hilarious so now we’re just briskly going to head towards Saadia that’s okay we hadia that’s what we had for dinner last night Eric happy anniversary happy anniversary you know you’re about to have some fancy Pizza when you’re going to the [Laughter] mall all right so we decided we’re not going to eat pizza at the at the cedia which is like a really cheap Italian restaurant wow you took me to the mall it was in and then you were like hey let’s leave the hot mall now we’re walking another 20 minutes away from the hotel to get to another pizza place that we’ve called and verified they are functioning yes so there is last order is 9:00 and we are at 8:00 so we’re on our way there hopefully it’ll work out it’ll be a decent pizza and uh it won’t be sized Ed yet which like I said it’s like it’s like the McDonald’s of like Italian food basically here so like we ate there yesterday it’s fine but for your anniversary you’re trying to get something a little fancier than McDonald’s basically you know what I’m saying I might have settled for it also note we’ve been now walking around outside in the cold for an hour and we’re going to have a 25 30 minute walk home after afterwards so that’s fun it’s like been a real nice time just like walking around freezing our nuts off in the end we got pizza and it’s pretty good this is a pretty good pizza place and just want to throw this out there a lot of people clown on Japan about their Pizza Japan does pizza really good as long as you don’t go to Dominoes or whatever like you go they were talking about how it’s weird to put honey on pizza and I didn’t think that was that strange because we do it all the time here but maybe it’s a Japan thing or is that an Italy thing when you have like a Gorgonzola cheese a strong cheese you put honey on it it’s really good and that’s what we got going on here you can drizzle some honey on your pizza and it’s like amazing so anyways you
