a nice day and uh been trying to get in
better shape so I thought getting out
and walking with you guys would be
really fun so here we
are but I haven’t done a YouTube live in
so long so um I’m just going to
basically talk as if I have no viewers
uh which is totally fine and then um if
people want to join in chat great and if
not I’m just going to get some great
exercise and show the neighborhood that
I’m walking through
now which sounds like fun for
me oh shoot yeah oh B yeah uh Springtime
is such a nice time in Japan uh a lot of
people like fall and I like fall too
because it’s kind of cool and stuff um
oh whoa there we go very boring name

while uh but I just wanted to go for a
walk and this reminds me a lot of uh
Reddit like in the old days hey shok

sorry about that it’s literally like um
we’re doing the curry challenge tonight
on shoko’s channel level 20 spice curry
and so um as I’m trying to get in better
shape I figured I should go walking
around and
stuff is it really shaking I have it on
a gimbal it shouldn’t be
shaking if it is then I need to work
with the settings yeah thanks for
letting me know let’s see if we centered
it a bit better
oh yeah let me know for
sure I’m trying to keep it stable I
might need to adjust a few

I guess we can cross down here there’s a
lot of cool neighborhoods in this
direction so or

people know cuz this is kind of like my
old Reddit streams I’m going to be
walking around vertically I mean I’ll be
well I guess I’m walking around
vertically as well but um part of the
deal is to actually look at the housing
because I think a lot of people are
quite interested in housing in Japan um
and most of the shock that I get from
people is I’d say one that it’s very
clean

you’re still on there of course of
course why wouldn’t you
be if you’re in Japan you’re lucky to
get a yard this this is about the size
of our backyard maybe a little
bigger but like if you’re in Japan
having a actual this is a side yard it’s
not completely blocked off ours is
blocked off in the back for the
dogs but this is like the standard um do
you see that the design is very similar
like the cookie cutter style that they
change them obviously from house to
house so it’s either one one of two
options it’s either like a semic custom
where they get like a little bit of a
choice it’s the only place for the
fungus yeah these days
yeah what’s up fungus no it’s here too
oh it’s spread oh
no but yeah you see like this is a very
standard um T URI house which is like
what we have too like they build them
pretty quickly they’re they’re cheap but
they’re all composite so they last
pretty long and um yeah I actually like
them a
lot I think they’re good affordable
housing like starter houses of course
I’d like to do more but like have a more
proper bigger house but they get they’re
these days are very expensive I think

guys yeah houses in ja in Japan they
typically don’t have basements it’s very
true this is like a condo set kind of
and even that is pretty small right if
you think about there’s three three
units in this what would be like I mean
that’s pretty big for a house like back
home I think but it’s just saying like
that’s three units three people three
families live in this which is actually
quite cramped but it’s very normal in
Japan only Luke has a secret basement oh
wait was not supposed to tell anyone
yeah man I invite you into my house you
tell people about my secret basement
what’s
up what’s going on huh so there’s a
nature walk and a park actually we can
go around this way we can go to the
neighborhood this way and then kind of
come back I was originally going to
start the stream in a different spot
like I drove down here and I was like
I’m going to walk around this CU I like
this neighborhood a lot but School seem
to be getting out for like the younger
kids I don’t know
why it’s 1:30 but there are tons of kids
out so I decided to avoid that
area there’s a good Wi-Fi down in my
basement rope and Le well come on no no
it’s just uh just chairs and a giant
screen just a folding chair of cheese
grater and a floor drain not a good
time man there’s still empty lots here I
don’t know for how long I love this guys
seu seui house it sounds I know it’s
like probably from a Japanese surname or
something like that or some combination
of words but if you read it out loud
it’s sounds like sexy
house sexy sexy
house so I thought that when I first
came here I used to I used to chuckle at
that place all the time and then uh a
friend of mine posted she was walking
around and she just she was just
laughing and then she posted it and I
was like yeah so I’m not the only one
who thinks it’s crazy cuz shoko didn’t
really uh she she’s like it doesn’t seem
strange to me so I thought okay maybe
I’m just crazym minded but I guess I’m
not the only only one who saw it that
way so that’s
good so anyways anyone out there would
you guys actually oh hold on oh shoot I
was supposed to make a an Instagram uh
I’ll do that real quick I was supposed
to do like a really quick story about
this so you guys can take a look at the
neighborhood for just a second and I’m
just going to
uh I’ll just post it like with a photo
or
something where’s a good spot we can
take a nice photo of the city
we just walk into a random neighborhood
maybe then you guys can look at the
architecture and I can make a
post it doesn’t even show up on my feed
that I’m streaming right now wait
what oh there we go I was saying it
didn’t show me live oh it just has my
logo as a symbol

but anyways I just want to get my steps
in I’ll be walking I’ll be doing about
an hour live stream get some sunlight
walk around and then I
will yeah I’ll get back to work I’ve
been working on um the qo
video I did about I don’t know like a a
fifth of the voiceovers last night cuz I
was working on the maps and a few other
things and actually it’s been really
good but it’s been really busy so uh
this was not a neighborhood this is like
like a forest a bamboo forest down the
way I think it’s a regular right here
but yeah see this goes down the nature
path I want to walk but there’s a ton of
kids down there right now so we’ll
actually let’s walk down this and we’ll
this way try to find a way with
nobody oh
man okay
uh whoa this looks like it goes off into
some like jungly area right that’s all
right
I should have gone down the hill also
wait hold on I got an idea I got an idea

indecisive that’s the fun of doing these
walks though it’s just kind of like
don’t really have a plan we’re just
going to go explore as long as I’m
walking
uh I just want to find a good spot for a
picture
maybe it doesn’t matter I’ll just make a
video there we go there uh

parking spot like a two-car driveway
straight out like this is pretty rare
not like insanely rare cuz there’s one
right here too but I mean like you
wouldn’t find something like this is
common in Tokyo unless someone’s like
super rich but this neighborhood seems
to have
them ours isn’t quite like that we have
two cars as well but it’s not like
straight out like that it’s a little bit
difficult

I just wanted to like um I’m I know I I
don’t do YouTube lives as often these
days it’s been a long time actually been
a couple months I think but I wanted to
because this is very much like the
Reddit streams I used to do where I can
just walk and talk and it’s like uh very
simple I’m just using my phone I don’t
have like my streamer bag or anything
it’s actually really nice I miss these
so much and I was in really good shape
when I did these a lot so I thought
maybe like a series of uh walking um
around Japan and just trying to get I’m
putting my keys in my wallet cuz they’re
so noisy and like trying to get some
good exercise you know would be really
uh a good idea but who
knows might as well just try
it hey Port your mod Dad what’s up how
you doing
Vice so hopefully I can come back to
that nature walking a little bit it’s
just a little bit it’s kind of um
there’s just a lot of kids there I don’t
know why school is getting out it seemed
like all really little kids like Young
Elementary or kindergarten but still I’m
surprised that 130 like they’re all just
kind of cruising around the town so
maybe that’s normal or maybe that’s just
a special day I have no
idea I’m pretty sure even when we worked
at kindergarten they still did classes
until almost two right or
two maybe Public Schools holy crap look
at this
place this is huge it has a garage and a
side parking
spot it’s a cute garage though it’s like
a half
door oh so they use it to like hang
stuff or is that oh no that’s like a I
don’t know maybe they use it as a
workshop or
something it’s
interesting how’s the day going get any
editing done before the stream I got a
lot done yesterday day um and then I
slept a ton and I slept really well it
was probably the best sleep I’ve had in
a while like and I said that about
Monday but this was even better like I
was
out and I went to sleep around midnight
instead of you know like 5:00 a.m. so I
was out cold finally I know this week I
got a lot of good
sleep um I I hate to admit it but I
think Star Killer was right because
often times when I do the the um sunrise
and coffee streams on Twitch I actually
take a nap afterwards because I’m tired
right and then I can’t sleep that night
so he said just skip the naps and I like
this I like I really like this style
hold on skip the naps and just stay up
and I did that and I slept really well
so I’ve been skipping naps like after
like uh long streams and stuff and then
just trying to hold out till night time
I got a lot of work done last night look
at this overhang kind of thing it’s like
a it’s a deck I’m going to guess they
installed this afterwards but I really
like it and then on top of that so these
guys must have money on top of that they
also put um what do they call these the
sun
room what is this device in the top
anybody know what that
is I don’t think I’ve seen that
before maybe it’s some kind of cult like
a cold statue thing I don’t
know sending things uh stula says are
telling man he us seconding things there
you yeah oh maybe there are lights it
just look kind of
funky but yeah the sun rooms are also
quite popular we thought about getting
one once um for our backyard cuz you can
hang uh you know we don’t need it cuz we
have the dryer but you can hang laundry
without worry about the rain and you can
like grow plants and stuff like that
it’s pretty cool a stove could be I
guess all right I guess it’s like like
we’re getting progressively richer here
these guys have their own
like walkway to their house and a garden
second Garden right here
jeez must be
nice yeah yeah
so it’s
um I think the the houses like the
property that’s that’s really big here
is people who have lived here from back
when it was just
Farms cuz like 20 years ago this place
was nothing but farms and a couple
houses there’s like really like all all
these houses are modern so
uh hold on which way should we go let’s
go this
way we’ll walk along the creek I haven’t
done the Creek Walk in a
while don’t you grow PL plants in the
plants don’t you grow plants in the
secret basement you know I
wish I would totally do
that I’m putting my hat on backwards to
get sun on my face oh it feels so
good feels so
good um yeah there’s not enough light I
need special lights for that yeah it’s
like a greenhouse kind of Godfather yeah
yeah yeah going back to that sorry it’s
like a greenhouse this place looks kind
of new I don’t think it is but it’s like
an
apartment we can see the Creek from here
too and the bamboo forest let’s walk
down here
yeah so actually it’s
um yeah I kind of like this place the
only thing is if I live in apartment in
Japan I prefer a concrete balcony but
it’s kind of it’s not as common I had
that in my last place and I was spoiled
cuz like uh it’s a it was a nice counter
we put a table out and we can see the
whole city we were on the sixth floor
but it was kind of like on a hill a
little bit compared to the area around
us so it was great
just cloning that small enough for Kobe
and Luke’s
basement
no we don’t need more of those how much
are these properties cost that’s a good
question so um and it’s a really hard
one to answer because it depends when
they bought it like I said this area
used to be just Farms if you bought a
house here like 20 years ago it was
probably Dirt Cheap like pretty much
like name your
price but I mean maybe not that bad but
like but still it’s it would have been
really cheap and then
now uh the area has been fully developed
we actually got our house here about 7
years ago and we’re not even in this
neighborhood but like we’re we’re in a
pretty decent neighborhood still and
yeah we oh wow look at these trees I
think this company does uh construction
and like planting and things like that
like Gardens construction stuff cuz it’s
like the the name is literally green
construction so I’m assuming they do
gardening but yeah um to give you like
perspective I guess when we moved into
the area I think houses were costing
around 300 300 to 400,000 us maybe and
now that they’re costing uh at least
when I saw listings were much higher
like 500 more I don’t I don’t I know I
haven’t checked recently I should check
actually but there’s not a lot of houses
left in our area because everything’s
been developed so I think now if you
want to find a place it’s a used place
or you have to build on a lot which is
very expensive like that that empty lot
we passed
earlier you’d have to build on that
here’s a bamboo forest you know what
actually they weren’t taking care of
this at all it was really bad and now
maybe this area has always been a little
better but the area that we looked at
the house the first time hold on now
we’re getting some
Sun Sun uh burst there
okay yeah um if you can see bamboo is
like it grows very quickly and it
spreads quickly it’s a it’s like a
vicious weed basically and so they’ve
got I’d say like no kidding like a 100
between this pile this is a new pile cuz
it’s still green that pile’s all like
tanned out so it’s been cut for a while
or they burned it and then um there’s
like another pile over there so so they
basically have to keep if they want a
nice bamboo forest like this they have
to keep cutting it this is still pretty
thick
actually um but it looks like they just
recently did a bunch of work that’s why
it looks so good but in the area we were
looking at our first house it was
further down this Creek and there were
bamboo trees like falling they were
falling over they were all like it was
it was like really disorganized and
messy and overgrown so this is pretty
good um it’s a nice area is it difficult
to bring in materials to build new
houses or even remodel um no but I mean
like uh not really I don’t think it
would be it’s not like a difficult to
access place I think it’s a good area
actually because if you’re in central
Tokyo for example you have a lot of
narrow roads and a lot of traffic and a
lot of people and it makes it hard to do
construction but here um we have there’s
about three different highways that are
nearby here and so we can get materials
from pretty much anywhere very
quickly all my Amazon packages like
anything I order usually comes the next
day a lot of times uh not a lot of times
but sometimes it I can actually get
something on the same day like if I
order something this morning it can come
here by Theon night part of that’s cuz
we have a like a distributor pretty
close but also I just think we have one
of the reasons it’s there is because we
have good
access this is a very nice area I like
how much the Prius tries to look like a
Tesla keep trying
buddy which one’s going to go wackiest
first I
wonder so yeah the only like downside
I’d say and luckily we don’t live close
to this the only downside is that the
power lines running to Tokyo from the
countryside run through here you can see
right there so these houses I feel like
would be a little bit um um I guess I
think the resale value would be a little
harder just because you have a massive
Tower right next to you in an earthquake
earthquake like frequent
country but I don’t know people don’t
seem to Really Care obviously they
wouldn’t want it there if it was
possible but it doesn’t stop people from
living the people live like directly
under it so I guess it really doesn’t
matter for most people it mattered to us
so that’s why we didn’t choose that this
particular line we decided to avoid this
area
I mean I don’t think it’s really
dangerous but I just don’t really like
it what are you guys’ thoughts would you
live if you could get a pretty good
discount would you live like pretty much
directly under one of these electric
Towers this used to be a big old Farm
they have part of it still they made the
other half a parking lot which is sad
but there were two doggies that always
hang out here and uh two sheas they were
cute
yeah what are we done on now 30 34

nice I I just want to try to get
um I want to uh I really want to get in
good shape before the RV trip that’s
only three weeks so I’m not expecting to
change much but at least get into good
habits and stuff before we do an RV trip
across Japan and I I’m going to go this
way cuz I really like the Creek

yeah exactly you wouldn’t mind but it
would it would make resale value yeah
but you know
like yeah if you wouldn’t mind it you
could probably save a lot of money in
the long run it might be worth
it I’m sure your current shape would fit
fine inside the RV I just mean like I
want to be in better shape for a big
trip like that um I was talking with Ian
my buddy he was uh he uh he does a lot
of trips with other other people and
stuff like R like van trips RV trips
stuff like that this is really pretty it
used to be kind of sorry I’m going to
take a second just to enjoy this it used
to be kind of like crappy here it looks
like they’ve done a good job of making
it look nice I’m glad they’re fixing it
up like when I first moved here it was
definitely a work in progress it looks
nicer I
feel anyways yeah um he was telling me
like
If he if he doesn’t get in shape between
like work really hard between his trips
then it’s uh it ends up being it
compounds and he just keeps like gaining
weight because like it’s like one thing
after another and that’s kind of my life
it’s like one trip after another one Vis
one like you know people visiting this
happening all this stuff and it’s like
non it just keeps happening so while I
have an in between like major events I
should be working really hard to like uh
you know
get in shape and keep it and then it’ll
make those trips a lot better I’ll have
more stamina and be more rested and
things
too but yes I think I could physically
fit into the RV at the
moment I don’t know if this used to be a
parking
lot I think it used to be a
house when they do this kind of crap
parking lot it might be temporary or it
might just be the person who’s running
is
cheap doesn’t want dirt everywhere this
area I’m looking for them developing
so this is all like uh this was kind of
like just garbage not garbage but like
just bushes and stuff before so they
flattened it out and they’ve it looks
like they’re starting to prep to make
the streets connect through
here that’s actually really good it’ll
give us more um just more ways for
people to get in and out of the area but
there’s there’s already plenty
but yeah
so I always like like this house but
yeah if I remember right this whole area
was blocked we couldn’t walk through hey
shoko are you still in chat I remember
like yeah it looks pretty newly paved
over here was there wasn’t this just the
creek did they build this recently I’m
pretty sure the creek just went
straight this looks really
recent hold on I’m just
curious yeah I think they just built
this yeah even the um the thing that
goes for the river to go through that
like tunnel looks like fresh really
fresh that’s so interesting yeah I
remember because we used to walk through
here um you know just doing walks and
like uh when I do the Reddit streams and
stuff and then we would uh we couldn’t
go left
here so this is uh this is all
new I don’t think they want us to walk
oh we can walk through here
though I’m kind of curious this is
interesting yeah looks FR right yeah I
think this is the first time maybe that
uh that I’ve walked over here I don’t
think this
existed it’s all brand
new wow that’s really cool so it just
shows this area is continually expanding
and like see how all this this is what
my area used to look like when I first
moved there it was lots of empty lots
lots of overgrown just grass and stuff
and then now you wouldn’t be able to
imagine that it’s all like a really nice
new town

shoko look this used to be the creek are
you seeing this remember if we walked
the dogs in this area we would have to
go like left or right here because the
creek was all the way here and then it
was a dead
end it was kind of awkward seeing little
vegetable patches next to houses right
area look like now maybe you can show us
inside of your house well actually if
you want to see inside our house just
check out shoko stream tonight I know
you’re trying to get me to dock as you
always
do it’s funny so look they’re they’re
just cu the road didn’t go this far and
now they’re starting to like extend it
so look at this now I’m kind of I’m kind
of glad I have this on YouTube live
because I can walk here in like a couple
years and we’ll see this whole area will
be like really nice and new and fully
developed but now it’s like it’s just a
project of the
moment as in like a they’re working on a
project not like a
project um yeah this is cool I’m going
to go back
though because eventually we’ll hit the
narrow road and I don’t want to do
that and I got to keep in mind that I
want to limit this to about an hour
because I want to make sure that I get I
want to
well yeah shoko told me to put on
sunscreen I I said I’m only going to be
on an hour
so I should keep to my word and also I
got a lot of work to do still shoko
streams in 4 Hour four and a half hours
right so we’ll be we’ll be doing that
Curry Challenge and I’ve got a lot of
work to do between now and then
um making progress on my video but it’s
taking a long time
so it’s uh there’s a lot of distractions
but you know trying to focus I always
show people this I’d show this on the
Reddit streams
I every single time I pass by this place
I would hate to live here because it
looks like it it honestly looks like uh
like a public swimming pool to me I
don’t know if it’s the tile or The Pink
Door or maybe it just reminds me of a
place from back home but it doesn’t look
comfy yeah yeah yeah shoko that whole
area that was just a creek the creek
just went
straight and now they actually they
built a bridge over the creek and
they’ve completely like connected the ne
neighborhoods it didn’t used to be like
that you can’t drive yet but you can
walk that’s really cool so once they
complete that area we can bring the dogs
here and like w explore it and
stuff looks like a public toilet
actually yeah that’s probably more
accurate all right let’s see wait his
name is

place how unfortunate to have that last

yesterday and I was talking about that
dude that looked like a serial killer
that’s actually like the governor of
saitama shoko said I was showing her
pictures I’m like look at this guy he
looks crazy and she said that’s that’s
like our governor you should probably
did you not know

baaba also because this area was
developed at different times and it’s
like uh there were C there’s a there was
a castle here and stuff sometimes you
just get these high levels where the
next street over is way up oh I should
take you to that area next stream we can
do that next time it’s a little bit far
but there’s an area where like um the
difference in the in one street and the
next is crazy
huge Baba’s horse place yeah what a name
yeah you like that

funny so on a beautiful day like this if
you’re walking through a Japan suburb
you you will see lots of laundry hanging
out but I got to be honest with you I
see it less and less because I think
more and more people are doing what
Shoku and I do my wife and I do and we
get um a washer dryer unit combo holy
crap look at that AC unit it’s holding
on for deer life I would not feel
comfortable with that but they probably
don’t have a choice I mean they
do but I don’t like that
it’s a really great day for a walk I was
going to bring the dogs originally but I
wanted to it’s been a while to do this
so I just wanted to like be able to go
on my own and if I can get into these a
bit more then I’d be able to actually
you know bring the dogs
along also there was um I don’t think
it’s around anymore unless this is it
now there was a share farm and those
have kind of disappeared too you guys
ever heard of those no manad hey what’s
up Brooklyn octorious what’s up man been
a while how you
doing yeah so if you haven’t seen um a
share Farm hold on is this one I don’t
think
so um it could be actually it could be
it’s like you rent a plot of land and
then it’s your place to take care of so
you can grow whatever you want and
generally like if you live in somewhere
like
Tokyo um maybe West Tokyo you can find
places like that not too far from your
house but if you live in central Tokyo
it’s probably got to be far out of your
place like away from your place I
mean whoa look at these guys what are
these things
they don’t look like they’re from this
planet The Invasion has
begun but yeah it could be I don’t I
don’t really know usually if if if it is
they’ll have a sign that it’s like a a
share Garden kind of thing but also
possible if it’s fully rented out that
they just wouldn’t put the sign CU they
don’t want to deal with
it thought about doing that at one point
it’d be kind of cool if you had a
uh just a little plot of land and you
can grow whatever you want
especially if it’s drivable or wack walk
whack if it’s walkable I don’t know why
I can’t talk today I slept really well
and I feel pretty good but for some
reason my brain is not working
well I partially I feel like I’m kind of
recovering from so much these days even
though I slept so well it’s like I could
have slept another 10
hours so this is pretty big this is a oh
this is like a company but then on the
top is a house like a factory oh car
repair okay like a mechanic but then on
the roof is a
house that’s actually

streams before there was a time when I

park it’s actually if we go up the park
uh to the top of the park we can get a
nice City View too that’s right there so
we can hit that pretty quick
very dangerous to step down the stairs

this place the palace
stage bishan is that like the Noodle
Company it is a palace look at
that so
um kind of a balance of Finance to
convenience if you get one of these
parking spaces it goes underground too
so it takes time for you to get your car
every time you go in and time to put it
back and sometimes there’s a line of
people waiting so would you I mean but
the convenience is that it’s right
outside your place rather than parking
in a garage or a parking lot you know a
10-minute walk away so I guess it’s
still worth it my buddies was really bad
though it was like it would take him
sometimes 15 minutes 20 minutes to get
his car and so he would look for any
excuse not to go out with his car if he
could avoid it you
know looks like a love Hotel it does and
if you guys want I can do a love Hotel
stream um I’m going to start doing these
like the Reddit streams I just pick
areas to walk and themes so like we we
can do the love Hotel walk there’s about
10 that are all maybe more 10 or 12 that
are all walkable in one area and they’re
kind of funny they all have different
different designs different uh look at
this
place these are almost gone in my area
they have all different designs and like
different themes and stuff and the signs
are funny as well
so be a nightmare an earthquake yeah
probably uh this city area kawaguchi in
particular but but I mean kuchi in
general but this city area is really
well known for um bonide trees and also
for like a place to go to to get plants
so there’s a lot of plant Shops and and
places where they they grow trees like
this see how they’re growing it out to
do the whole um that Zen like entryway
overlay thing and then people will come
and buy
these right like and then they’ll just
build they’ll just start growing it
again it’s kind of
interesting it’s one of those things
that it just takes time right you can’t
really Rush this so if you have if you
have a lot of uh open guard like space
like this and you don’t need to use it
they have it over here too then it just
makes sense you can you can do the thing
that you know these can make a lot of
money because it takes a lot of time and
effort to grow them like this and to
take care of them so they can sell this
for a lot I don’t know how much they
would cost I’ve never looked into it I
should just out of curiosity but like
how much would a tree like this cost
it’s very common to have one go over
like your entry way or in your garden go
over something like this
it’s
amazing they’re impressive right Frank
if you can find a love hotel with the
gym locker theme would be

look down here there’s another set like
that so so people will come here from
all over
Japan and be like you know I want to get
this this and this you know rich people
they want their their nice Garden like
places like this they can grow it I
think the um if you go to Countryside
it’s uh you can do it as well but you
know the weather gets more harsh and
stuff this is the weather here in this
town is really good like it’s pretty
pretty good average it doesn’t snow here
often if at all and um yeah yeah yeah
yeah they looks like they sold a bunch
recently and they’re growing new ones
look they they’re all cut they must have
had a big sale
nice and they have them over here too so
I’m sure they’re all owned by the same

shop around to get the perfect Japanese
garden at your place but it’s possible

myself out of the house I was just
saying I’ve been working on several
things but in particular one video and I
didn’t want to just stay indoors it’s
such a beautiful day so I was like let
me get
outside but when I did the Reddit
streams uh during Co it was just like
this it was a vertical video and a
Gimbal and that’s it I don’t have any
routers I don’t have a backpack on I got
nothing it was like I would just walk
like this for 10 hours a week and I got
in such good shape I was really I was
really really in good

to com you got to combine that with you
know healthier eating as well and other
things but yeah I figure if I can work
these out I’ve tried to jump start this
a few times where I I do these walks
here and there and uh you know like
maybe a couple times a week but I just
get distracted with other stuff so now
if I can just keep it
consistent I want to do like a whole
series where I show all my neighborhoods
cuz I I used to do that and there were
so much fun on Reddit I’ve been having a
great time today

area my dad um when my mom and dad
visited they would go walking every day

everywhere um man he was great but he
found this park and he loved it he came
home and he said Luke you know you have
so many bamboo forests and nice parks in
your area I said yeah I know Dad he’s
like but do you really know have you
actually explored it I said yes I’ve
been to all these places I I love them
I’ll take you there if you want he’s
like okay now just well just checking

forest there is like no joke I’d say at
least some of them are small some of
them are big but there’s more than 20
bamboo forest like throughout my city
area my
neighborhood sometimes they’re just like
a plot of land of like like that size of
bamboo trees sometimes they’re massive
but I actually really love bamboo a lot
so when we moved to this area before we
even bought the house like we walked to
the neighborhoods and we we drove all
through here and stuff and everywhere
just looks so nice so I figured this was
a great place to settle down it’s not
even now after being developed it’s not
crowded it’s cheap it has a lot of
really good food we’ll be eating some of
our local Yakitori tomorrow night the
stuff that we really like our favorite
place is just down the road there’s two
we have two really good Yakitori shops
we love and we’re very very close with
the owner and their family and
stuff yeah they’re both very very very
close to

to go around with nothing on my

also makes you miss it more probably

low but the hotels are an all-time high

prices of things as much so that was
like the sweet spot you probably
remember coming here during during that
time there was a real sweet spot where
like it would be the best time to visit
Japan because everything was still cheap
here and then the exchange rate but
Japan’s kind of picking up like
oh well the Yen’s weak so they have a
lot of yens so let’s just charge more
for hotels it’s really sucking for
locals though so when I want to stay in
a hotel I have to pay like those tourist
prices now and it really sucks um I
booked a hotel next week

busiest and most expensive travel time

my van and we sleep in parking lots that

machines even in small inaka places

this today um I I do eight hour streams
now and I
stream uh like this kind of stuff for
one city exploring uh shrines and nature
I do treasure hunts where I go search
for retro games uh anime girls and all
sorts of things uh really interesting
finds at secondhand shops and then I do
uh sunrise sunrise and coffee streams
where we go watch Japan yesterday we
were in a Wisteria garden with like
nobody there because it was so go hit up
Japanese nightlife City often aaban but
we also go other places
and yeah it’s
fun this guy’s amazing on Twitch thank
you so so much I appreciate it and
thanks again Planet X for the Super Chat
you you rock buddy thank you Tanuki and
the other girls you cannot find a
garbage can so he just left his cup on
the streets oh yeah that’s not a good
look that’s not a good look at all um I
understand that frustration when you
first come here you don’t see trash cans
anywhere so you feel like well fine then
you know but you know you’re meant to
hold on to it till you get to a
convenience store a place you can throw
it away but it is it’s definitely
different
um the Johnny guy uh he is long he’s
never allowed in Japan I think so
thankfully he’s
gone people like that really don’t
belong here and they’ve made it a lot
harder for me a as a full-time live
streamer and content creator I’ve had to
deal with a lot of difficulties um
there’s been shops that will say no live
streaming now because they don’t like
that kind of content even though my
content would be having the camera on me
talking about how great the food is and
like actually like saying nice things
about the place and without disturbing
anybody um people like that that just
ran through causing trouble for like on
purpose just to like make get more views
made a lot of places be like no we don’t
like live streaming it’s really a
shame his camera on the sidewalks angled
up and inadvertently gave chat an
upskirt shot ooh well that’s that’s um
I’m glad I’m sure it was inadvertent but
that’s unfortunate
yeah that’s that uh that those those are
all kinds of things that people don’t
realize you’re dealing with uh live
stream culture which I know he’s a live
streamer too right he does some but live
stream culture plus Japan culture plus
interacting with Japanese people um not
I’m not justifying it I’m just saying
like I’m not justifying at all cuz none
neither of those things should have
happened 100% but
yeah it’s unfortunate because while
dealing with all that you’re also kind
of representing
the company that I work for right so
hopefully there’s some positive things
that and it doesn’t just become negative
things yeah that’s true actually ninja
monkey is right it wasn’t SMY it’s like
a collection of people that do stupid
things he’s just one of
them you enjoyed seeing him being
carried
away yeah this is a brand new place

train station for noise good side it’s a

passage straight to the subway I don’t

yeah so on yesterday’s stream on Twitch
we saw some dude walking backwards and
like he wasn’t checking behind him he
just was walking backwards for like a
good five plus minutes along a path and
so it looked like a glitched out
NPC and uh it was so weird I I hope
someone got a clip of it if not I can go
back and clip it I will actually go back
and clip it because it’s it’s way too
funny someone probably nabbed it
though I need one and I think I know
where to look uh
oh um yeah yeah the old man walking
backwards was hilarious a Big C uh 6kg
CO2 tank for my soda stream at home cuz
I use it so much you know yeah I also
use a soda stream a
lot if I was at home I would have just
done that but on the go and I wanted
something really
refreshing and refreshing It
is Well I set out to do an hour walk and
it is
become oh not too bad we’re almost an
hour and a half okay so I actually
didn’t go too too bad over I’ve done
hour walks where they turn into like 4
hour
walks but yeah it’s been good this um
if you’re a fan of One Piece like I am
this is like the germa base it’s spelled
with a J but it reminds me of the style
the writing and the way they do it
reminds me of like one
piece walking backwards is a trend in
the medical community for a while 5
years ago encourages reverse motor
functions and lagging muscle groups yeah
it was just so I can I I’ve heard
things along that line or at least that
walking backwards could be beneficial I
didn’t know why so it’s nice to hear the
the reasoning but it was uncanny the way
he was doing it because he was on a path
like I mean kind of like imagine like a
wider path like this so I’m sure he can
feel where to go and he probably does
this like every day but he was walking
so confidently backwards and never
checking behind him that it looked
really um like it it it it it just like

strange so that was like kind of the the
reason why I thought it was it was

today I’m it’s not my it’s not my day to
stream on Twitch though I’m actually
working on a on an editing a YouTube
video at the moment but I’m also trying
to get in shape so getting outside is
what I need in my
life I have walked 5 kilometers and
that’s what I need I need more of that
and I just can’t edit all day I’ll end
up just not not you know not reaping the
benefit of eating healthier these days
and you know cutting calories and
sleeping better it only works if you do
everything right so I need to get out
and exercise
too and man this is so ref refeshing it
feels so much like Reddit I’m going to
I’m definitely I’m so glad they brought
the vertical video back this is only my
second one but I think I’ll be doing
these a lot I love it so much it’s like
it’s so stress free I don’t have a
speaker I don’t have a second phone I
don’t have a bag I just have a phone a
Gimbal and my shoes like my just walking
I wear my like exercise shoes a little
different than my grandpa shoes I
usually
wear and yeah it feels fantastic
how you tracking uh steps on my
watch so
um I I’m tracking like how far I’ve gone
and yeah 5.15 km is
great what is that a couple
miles so it’s also warmed up now so
these kind of things are a lot easier to
do but I’m going to twitchcon in
Rotterdam in June end of June early
July so I also wanted to be in shape for
that there’s going to be a lot of
networking as well and meeting a lot of
people and just in general I want to get
in better shape but it would be great to
like be in a good physical spot when I
go out there cuz it’s going to be very
tiring I’m only there for 5 days I’m
coming in going out quickly I’m going to
be at events every single day like
partner party twitchcon twitchcon
premere con it’s going to be so busy
that I think it’ll be great to just be
in a better physical that’s what I mean
like not like looks necessarily although
that also helps but I just mean like not
to get exhausted so easily and to be
more prepared for things like that in
the RV
trip I’m also probably going to go to
the San Diego one too it really depends
on shoko’s schedule but from what we
were talking I’m likely to go to the the
um San Diego one
too you did 9k today
sweet not far from my place hey well I
won’t have a lot of time to like meet up
with people but if you if you come to
like twitchcon or you come to yeah well
pretty much twitchcon I can meet anybody
yeah outside of that I think I’m pretty
busy um because it will be just a short
stream it’s going to be like Event Event

like I literally I have such a packed

keep hearing from people about doing
like five six interviews for a job then
used to be like that you do an interview
sometimes you come back for a second one

generally you do an interview and that’s
enough yeah it’s kind of
silly rest in peace taste bu in tomorrow
morning yeah what should you do there’s
not much you can do you just got to do
the best you can at work and also I
would update your resume and kind of
keep an eye out for other jobs it’s
always good like even if I was really
comfortable with the job I’d always have
my resume updated and I’d be keeping an
eye out on the job listings I was never
looking to like jump ship necessarily
but I just wanted to be able to if if my
job was in danger to be able to not be
caught
unprepared yeah they put a lot of job
under competition today exactly
exactly it’s really tough
this is where we uh we started the
stream like right over there I think so
we’re going to we did a full circle well
it’s like a
really weird Circle involing lots of
squiggly lines but we did
it I’m happy I’m really happy I feel
physically very good from doing this too
I’ll go home and get to work I’m going

also going to do a little bit of work on

job situation I haven’t been in the job
I haven’t been in the workforce for 3
years so it’s a little bit different for
me but I worked and I hired and I fired
and I did lots of you know I did lots of
different positions um here and back
home so I’ve seen like I’ve seen it you
know the the fluctuations and how things
go and so it always made me a lot more
uh careful about my own jobs like a lot
more kind of parent unfortunately but
also at the same time more
prepared use a different voltage there I
could see the zebra Crossing oh yeah
yeah you’re right it’s just that one
spot where um if I ever cross and you
can’t see the zebra Crossing it’s just a
different voltage yeah it’s not has
nothing to do with me uh jaywalking I
would never do that guys it’s just
sometimes things don’t appear the same
on the stream you know and sometimes the
iPhone can’t capture the the the zebra
cross that’s so I love that that joke
came back right

often I think this is going to be a
fantastic way to get in shape for me and
it’s just a lot less strain on my body
too cuz I’ve been trying to get my walks
through my streams but I’m carrying a
lot of stuff so I can still do that but
biking streams and walking on the off
days or things like that could be a lot
more beneficial for my body I
think we should do this more often hell

to do a thumbnail on the YouTube app but

used to walk this all the time and it
looks like they fixed everything whoa I
haven’t been back this was all under
construction they fixed it finally

back they’re really upgrading our area
I’m glad we moved in when we did look
this place is beautiful another bamboo
forest with a nature path
there’s stuff like this all over my
city this is this is Chill more relaxed
stream than twitch twitch is the serious
business everyone carries a lot of stuff
I I do I really
do and um it gets exhausting cuz it’s
it’s heavy you know I’m carrying a lot
of batteries routers all this
stuff my exercise endorphins are kicking
in yeah then I go sit at home and be
like I don’t want to do anything no I
think I’ll be
good isn’t this a nice walk though
I figur we’d wrap it up at the Gazebo
here it’s a perfect
spot yeah surrounded by bamboo
trees it sucks they have to put signs
out to tell people not to steal the Tak
OKO basically the like the baby bamboo
is used for
food um and people will steal it because
it’s it’s cheaper obviously but it’s a
crime so they have to put up all these
signs but it kind of it’s like without
if people didn’t do that they wouldn’t
need the signs and would actually be a
lot more nature
natural yeah this is good okay I mean I
could do this all day but that’s not the
plan I was meant to do an hour it’s
become almost two but it’s been good I
still have to get back to the car and
get home too so it’s going to take some
time but ah hey guys um there we go hey

um and also those that haven’t watched
me in a while probably haven’t seen me
with a beard um and I also look like 10
years older somehow it’s the beard and
also I don’t know streaming age but it’s
