Silvia Silvera World Travel what’s up
Justin I’m doing good Dana great to see
you so we are live and um boy that was
stressful for about 30 minutes before I
started um I was trying to get all these
glitches sorted um because my idea was
really to try and stream on two
platforms my idea was to stream right
here on YouTube with you guys and
Instagram so I changed all the settings
and guess what I screwed them all up I
thought I had them in place yesterday I
did a preest and it turns out that it
didn’t work out so I think that deserves
a drink but hopefully I’m coming through
loud and clear right now but because I’m
using this to communicate with you guys
I won’t be able to communicate directly
with my assistant well on AR guys by the
way um but it’s all right I have all the
comments here and
um I’ll just have to
to you know read the comments myself
although any [ __ ] that may appear in
the room my moderator there will kick
him out quickly so good evening guys
he’s to
you fantastic Armenian vodka is the best
Armenian cognac
sorry so guys um it’s been a good week
from my last trip to Lithuania
I managed to pack three videos so that
gives me time to get some more material
I’m excited because I’ve got a few trips
lined up going back to Lithuania going
to Estonia which by now
deserves several videos then I’m off to
Brussels and then I’m planning two weeks
uh at the beginning of May in
Georgia which is going to be absolutely
phenomenal in
bissi
um that’s you know the caucuses is an
area that I really can’t get enough of
it’s just
breathtaking the countryes are
absolutely amazing and just thinking
about the fact that I’m going to Georgia
is causing all this you know excitement
you know I can feel the butterflies in
my belly so it never gets old it never
gets
old
um now when I first got into the chat or
into the room before the chat started I
had an
interesting comment from one of
the one of the people let’s see if I can
still paste it probably not because I’ve
restarted the
computer no absolutely not
so he asked the question if I could make
a video
about you know the the how difficult it
is really to move countries how they
forgot it was for me to move to laia
from the UK or from wherever
else and I realized that people watch my
videos and you know other than just
traveling they they they want to know
more about you know my way of life my
lifestyle how it all happens and today
I’m going to talk about that because
moving countries is something that I
think a lot of people aspire to do um
but often don’t have maybe the the
courage or the
knowledge or the finances to do so and
it’s something that I want to discuss
with you guys today because sometimes it
can just feel like oh you know moving
countries is is is an
impossibility um I’ve moved many
countries under different uh let’s put
it this way
different circumstances some better than
others some were easier moves than
others um but I want when I wanted to
make the move you know I absolutely made
the move there and then when I
decided and I guess it takes a certain
of certain type of of mindset to do to
be able to do that um because you know
there’s always those things that you
wonder about am I going to you
know encounter any significant problems
um you know
basically it’s it’s an it’s a road
unknown to to to most people when you
move to a new country and I’ve done it
many many times and for me it’s it’s
something that I’ve never regretted I’ve
never moved to a country and thought to
myself why the hell did I do that but
then again it’s just been you know I’ve
been living in a suitcase for the last
30 years it’s the way I’ve wanted to do
it um but I think the first thing that
holds people back or the first excuse
people use is I can’t move because I
can’t afford to now different
circumstances I’m assuming if anybody’s
deciding to move there’s there’s three
scenarios um one they’re retired which
is what often happens a retired couple
or retired individual decides they want
to move to a country uh the other is a
young person that maybe doesn’t have too
many
responsibilities and wants to start
something new somewhere
else and the third scenario is a family
moving all
together I’ve done all three so um the
differences are astronomical when you
move with a family it’s completely
different to let’s say moving by
yourself and probably the easiest I
would say is
moving uh later in life because you have
a lot more experience at least I did and
it was a lot easier but let’s let’s kind
of like unpack all of these so young
guys if if there’s any and I don’t know
the circumstance of the the person that
asked me this but when you’re young I’d
say just do it don’t even think about it
uh figure out a way figure out a way
along the way because you know worst
case scenario you just go back to where
you were uh often times the careers are
not built yet it’s easy to go back to
where you were and just just start all
over again um now if you’re retired and
you’re concerned about so many other
things like medical health and things
like that uh that limits where you can
travel too because you know you you have
concerns after a certain age that you
just don’t have when you’re young um and
obviously when you’re married and you
have kids then you’re thinking about
education you’re thinking about all
these things but I managed to pull it
off I lived in several countries moved
the kids around with me and um even
though it may may have interfered with
their schooling and their ability to
develop friendships long-term
friendships um what it did give them is
you know something that I consider to be
second to none the ability to speak many
languages fluently um you know being
multi they can adapt to most cultures um
they’re open open to trying new things
new experiences new
foods so um
but putting all these circumstances
aside there are certain things that are
Universal number one is is funding
so depending on where you are in your
life whether you’re you’re you’re
retired you and a spouse or by yourself
you have a family or you’re a young guy
uh you know what your monthly costs are
so you know exactly how much you need to
to be able to sustain yourself now the
first step is one way or another to get
to a point where you can earn enough to
live a certain Lifestyle the one you
choose and often times that means
cutting out a lot of things eliminating
a lot of things but really shrinking it
down to the bare minimum so it’s not too
overwhelming and then figuring out a way
how to earn enough money to be able to
live in that country now sometimes
there’s restrictions you can’t work you
you know but there’s a lot of
restrictions but that’s the first thing
is getting a pen and paper if you’re
oldfashioned like me or pulling out your
computer and making a list of absolutely
every cost you can think of that is
absolutely
necessary um and that would be your your
base cost because you want to make it
the smallest number possible if you
really have that desire to move then you
have to do it in a way whereby you you
calculate your bare minimum and once you
find a way figure out a way how to
sustain yourself and there’s many ways
to do
that um then
move uh I’ve done that many many times
you got to get creative on how to be
able to earn a living whilst traveling
or whilst away from home um and I think
now with the way the world is compared
to let’s say 10 15 20 years ago you
can’t compare it I mean it’s so much
easier now there are so many more ways
of being able to earn an income from
anywhere in the world so you know pick
on that one it’s it’s a lot easier um
the second thing is is and one of the
worst thing is is that when people
move often often times there huge
disappointment what you expect it to be
and what it turns out to
be are often two very different things
and I think that the most important
thing is to be real with yourself you
know a lot of people go to to a certain
place thinking
well you
know back home it’s like this and I’ll
give you a very good example when I
first moved to Spain this was in 1996
yeah now just arrive from Florida now be
bear in mind these are two very
different countries I ended up in Spain
and I thought to myself this is a
brilliant place to to to bring up kids I
didn’t have kids at the time I was just
starting off and I thought the pace of
life here is great it’s laidback the
people are nice they’re kind um you know
I could really really see myself having
a place here you know starting a family
here
and so I did now when I
moved what I didn’t know going there is
on vacation or spending a little bit of
time there is the unexpected things that
you just can’t get your head round so
for instance the first thing I needed
was a phone and an internet connection
now at the time if you remember those
days back in the 90s in order to get a
phone you needed your internet you
needed a phone because you know you
either had dialup connction connection
which was diabolical or or uh I think it
was ADSL at the time uh which was the
the the dogs bollocks if you like so I
rent an apartment order a phone line now
bear in mind I’m coming from the states
where you move into a house you plug in
a phone you ask them to reconnect the
phone you give them your social security
number all your details the phone’s
connected in no time then you choose
your longdistance provider at the time I
think it was uh
AT&T um and that’s it you’re done within
no time you’ve got your your phone and
once you’ve got your phone you choose
your internet service provider you
connected up the cables to your modem
and and you were online no in Spain so
you order the phone line it’s okay
technician has to come around because
there’s no infrastructure there’s no
cables that are running into the
building there’s no socket for your
phone a guy’s got to literally come over
to your house and connect a cable from
the street the main box run it into your
apartment often times hanging from
midair like that so the you know the sky
is a spaghetti of cables they run it
into your house they ask you where would
you want it and they’re running a cable
all the way across the Way You Want It
by the desk okay great um but the thing
is when you call it to place that order
they tell you 6 weeks to
wait you can pull your hair out I mean 6
weeks then they say they give you a
certain date and they say okay let’s say
uh what what is it today the 17th of
April you’ll have it on the 30th of uh
May okay fair enough once you calm
yourself down comes the 30th of May the
guy doesn’t show up you call up okay
we’ll check he shows up the next day at
12:00 you come you say listen I was
waiting for you yesterday at lunchtime
you never showed up yeah you know it’s
not a big
deal they would say to
you and you know in the beginning when I
first moved there it used to drive me
absolutely
insane but eventually I realized that
what I really liked about Spain the
things that really attracted me to to
starting a lifestyle there was all part
of the parle that attitude was what made
the country so laidback the thing that
attracted me to it and and at the time I
was like in Florida this would never
happen you know i’ get so frustrated and
irritated and angry and
crazy
um but if I was completely honest with
myself what I really liked about Spain
the kindness the laid-back attitude and
everything else was the fact that it
takes you six weeks to get a phone line
I don’t think it’s changed much right
now by the way guys um so when you do
move um
don’t compare the place you’ve gone from
to the place you’re going to now that’s
just one example but the list goes on
and on and when you finally move you
finally see that that list is just keeps
growing and growing and growing I mean
from from how you’re being served in
restaurants to um your interactions with
any bureaucratic
offices um getting a driver’s license I
mean you know moving to ltia had its
it’s you know it’s its fair share of
challenges too um so yeah your
expectations when you’re
moving uh be flexible be tolerable
you’ll get there you’ll sort everything
out life will get back to normal but
when you first move you’re going to
uncover a lot of new surprises that um
that you didn’t expect now sometimes you
move to a place that’s a lot better than
a place you’ve come from and then you’re
kind of shocked um you know I mean when
I moved to the US remember I couldn’t
believe how
friendly the waitresses and waiters were
I mean they were just like you know
you’re not used to this in Europe where
the guy comes to the table say hello my
name is uh you know Jeremy I’ll be
serving you today can I get you some ice
water for you know I’m like what’s going
on here you know just want to have a
dinner and uh this guy’s introduced
himself to me his whole family already
you know and it just didn’t it was in
the reverse if you like you know when
you used to let’s say grumpy service and
and that you arrive in America and you
say what in the hell is going on here
then you realize that those guys aren’t
absolutely nothing they really work hard
for their tips you appreciate it I ended
up doing that job um so
yeah be flexible because otherwise you
are um heading for a disaster literally
an emotional and mental disaster
breakdown sometimes and you might you
might even just throw the tow in and say
[ __ ] it I’m going
back um another thing I want to say is
that when you move to another
country understand right away that
you’re a guest
there and that doesn’t mean that you
should uh not feel at home by any
means but um you’re just then you have
to be sens itive to the locals and you
know everybody’s proud of their country
everybody’s proud of where they come
from
um but sometimes a lot of people
traveling or moving abroad can be
insensitive to especially those those
things that uh might find annoying and
then you know complain about it all the
time so be sensitive with the locals
trying integrate I think you can see by
my videos that I try and integrate as
much as I can even if I’m just staying
there for a week or or five days I try
and integrate as much as I can so I
think you know integration is is very
important I I personally think so there
are guys that I know that lived in Spain
for 30
years didn’t bother to learn Spanish
other than ordering un Cafe Con Leche a
coffee with milk and that’s about the
extent of their
Spanish um same thing in in in in many
countries actually if you go to the the
local pubs where all the xats hang out
and it’s either all the Brits or the
Brits and the Americans and the
Australians or whatnot you often see
that
people don’t try and integrate and what
happens it actually infuriates the
locals to a certain extent you know they
they resent that a lot um so be
sensitive to the locals because it is
their country we are guests um feel at
home but always have you know some kind
of a uh understanding that you know the
locals it is their place and and you got
to kind of like take that into
account so get the funding ready move
don’t expect it to be like home because
remember there’s a reason why you
thinking of leaving where you come from
because you don’t want it to be like
home be sensitive to the uh to the
locals and realize
that in most cases if it doesn’t work
out guys you still have home to go back
to so unless you’re leaving something
that is
absolutely uh how should I put it you
know I mean you’ve built a a business
Empire and and you’ve spent the last 20
years focusing on it and you just can’t
move and there’s too much to lose most
people if they’re in a position to make
that move in the first place they can
always go back to to where they came
from and often times in a Sim the place
that they left
so don’t be afraid um I can reassure you
everybody can reassure you but if you’re
thinking of moving and you’ve got that
fire in you that says you know what I
would love to live in Portugal or I’d
love to live in Ria or wherever there’s
there’s no distinction really my advice
to you is set things up as quickly as
you can and go um life is short you
won’t regret it if nothing else you get
an amazing experience you might learn a
few languages along the way um you are
going to increase your value as an
individual I mean you’ll be more
cultured uh more
skilled and the downside in my opinion
is nothing compared to to the up the
upside that you get so yeah I mean if
you’ve got any questions related to this
let me know but meanwhile I see there’s
quite a lot going on in the chat there
so let me see because I’m not connected
to my
um my um assistant right
now
um let’s
see did this work okay here we go this
is the new thing that I’ve put up now
where I actually pop up the message on
the screen so I can read it myself and
YouTube so it says hey Justin J here
hello mate uh I keep thinking how much I
need to talk to a friend support person
and you showed up this morning mate uh
we had a long chat over over the phone
uh I was traveling today to to tukums
and for the longest time I’ve been
saying uh okay so let me backtrack Jose
here is is uh a subscriber who reached
out to me um back in December November
December before I got sick and wanted to
invited me out for a drink and and get
to know each other and then things
happened I ended up with this virus and
and God knows what and I’ve been meaning
to reach out to him for a long long time
and today I just thought to myself you
know what I’m here for a few days let me
reach out to him and uh it was perfect
timing we had a fantastic chat we spoke
for about an hour on the phone sometimes
you just click with someone and we
agreed to meet up tomorrow and then
Friday I think there is if anybody from
Ria by all means uh Los balos which is a
Latin band here in Ria is performing at
um Cuba Cafe in the Oldtown uh because I
think they’re celebrating their 20y year
anniversary or 19 year anniversary so
looking super forward to that and uh
yeah absolutely you know sometimes you
just reach out you make that call and
and it it was just meant to
happen so uh and his second comment is
his day shifted for the better so I’m
really happy to hear that so here’s to
you
mate let’s
see sorry about this I’m on the the
laptop today because of all these
technical
issues so elenda saying the stazy muted
you
LOL yeah we’ll have to get the uh
Counter Intelligence team here to sort
them out because this is uh this is not
going to
happen okay nothing yet what’s up Justin
and this thing is not working good
evening from mince let’s start a Chinese
car business yes Caesar I received that
amazing I mean Caesar here sent me some
links to some Chinese cars I don’t know
if you’ve seen some of these cars lately
the um
the uh electric cars that are coming out
from China they’re
absolutely
crazy um see what’s going on
here for some reason the link broke once
again all these Technologies they
they’re more trouble than they’re worth
I mean I’m so grateful that I can speak
to all the 34 35 of you tonight but to
tell you the truth this technology
sometimes makes my life a misery so now
I’m actually looking at
the the uh all right I’m going to have
to have verbal assistance from my
assistant
because the idea I had has just gone to
[ __ ] so we’ll have to work on it again a
little more so next week so what’s the
next question what’s
your country what’s my favorite European
country
country damn that’s a difficult
one um at the moment it’s quite Dynamic
but at the moment flavor of the month
for me is is Poland uh really enjoyed
Poland fantastic
place um big fan of Bulgaria lfia I mean
favorite is a bit hard to say because I
would say top three top four because
they you know there’s certain things
about certain places that I absolutely
love I love the style in in Bulgaria
where everything is just like you know
kind of like Mediterranean everything is
easy to get away with you know it’s like
uh in southern Italy or southern Spain
ah no worries don’t worry about it uh
Poland I love the fact that it’s so
modern um you know the city has a Vibe I
mean it’s a country of 40 million people
and uh Warsaw has an amazing Vibe 247
kind of City well 246 because they’ve
decided to shut everything down on a
Sunday um but yeah it’s a happening
place Ria the beauty is is amazing
although it’s currently struggling with
its airport which I always said when I
move somewhere one of the most important
things is the airport and um I think due
to
certain decisions that were made during
lockdowns and pandemics and all this um
you know there was a lot of mistakes in
my opinions that were made and and uh
you know it’s it’s cost a lot to the
tourism here um it’s going to affect the
tourism significantly for instance wiiz
used to have a hub here that flew
absolutely everywhere daily flight to
London straight into Luton which was
phenomenal uh flights to Berlin to Paris
to uh CI to to uh you know all over the
place and they shut down their Hub so
now there’s one flight going from Ria to
kisi um Ria is a phenomenal place but
one of the reasons why I really liked it
and you know agreed to come here is
because their airport was the main
airport in the
baltics um but unfortunately that has
pretty much gone to [ __ ] so yeah
who’s
that okay um yes I am in laia I guess
you are going out tonight to all um is
what you’re referring to so am I in
Lafia because there’ll be folk dancing
again in about 45 minutes I already
embarrassed myself once with that folk
dancing I almost tripped over myself uh
trying to do it um very talented very I
mean I absolutely loved it um not sure
if I’m going to go tonight I I might I
very well might so who knows if you’ll
be there um tap me on the shoulder and
say hi mate so we’ll
see is that here my home uh it’s my base
let’s put it this way I do feel at home
here um I uh absolutely love the country
I enjoy my time
here um how I got so familiar with the
Russian language is the second part of
the question um you know back in the
early days in in the late ’90s early 0s
I used to work uh in Investment Banking
um and I was based in London and I was
dealing with central eastern Europe and
Russia and I used to go on business a
lot to to the Reg
and I just made a decision earlier on
that it would be very favorable for for
me for my
career uh for my opportunities to learn
to speak Russian so that was what 25
years ago now and I’ve never looked back
it’s opened so many doors for me it’s
created so many opportunities for me
that uh probably one of the best
decisions I’ve I’ve ever done um was was
learning to speak Russian so that that’s
how it all
happened have you
R have I ran into Balden bankrupt in
lvia um no no I mean he’s uh I’m not
sure if he is in
lva uh I know he’s never made a video in
lvia so uh if he comes to lvia I might
run into him but I’ve not um I’ve not
I’ve never bumped into him not in laia
or anywhere else I mean it would be
great to because I do like his content I
think he’s um he’s very good at what he
does and [ __ ] me I look like a ghost is
this light to too
bright
huh it is isn’t it what in the hell is
going on let me try and turn that away
like that somehow because I just
realized I look like a bloody ghost am I
not scaring you
guys let me see give me a
second [ __ ] I scared myself there
still look like a ghost [ __ ] it let
going that way all righty we’ll let the
camera deal with the
lighting next question
we need more nice
people okay why did I um move to laia
and um you know the person pointed out
that they welcome all people and they
need nice people um you know I’ve been
traveling to the baltics for many many
many years um and
about 15 years ago um I really started
traveling to the baltics in order to be
able
to um make contracts with different
factories that were producing foods and
uh I would then produce Foods here in
the
baltics export them to Spain distribute
them um and I would have to travel
frequently and then
um I I realized every time I traveled to
the baltics whether it was Estonia laia
I would usually do all three countries I
always made sure that I would do it so
as that Lavia was my last stop on a
Friday so I might do a Thursday Friday
in laia get my meetings done visit the
factories test the products and then add
a weekend to it and I always had a
fantastic time here in
lvia
um I mean the other Baltic countries
were always great as well but I just
kind of like had a an affinity for laia
I really enjoyed my time here so I
decided yeah it would be nice and then
um during
lockdowns um it kind of made more sense
for me to be here than anywhere else
because if they shut down the
airport um or whatever it was it was
necessary to be able
to um just deal with things here rather
than the market where I distribute in
which was and so I decided to spend some
time here and I really really liked it
and then next thing you know I’m living
here so one of the best decisions I ever
made so yeah and I think I think I’m
going to make a a a live stream with uh
one of my subscribers Jos actually who I
was on the phone with yesterday and I’m
G to make a live stream
with where we’re going to sit there and
and discuss our experience of moving to
lvia as two foreign people very
different he’s from he’s from uh from
Peru uh South America but you know I
think it’ll be an interesting take to
have a conversation with him and see
what what his experiences were what mine
were the funny ones the sad ones the
angering ones so yeah I think it’ll be
fun so who’s who’s saying this can you
give me the name before
all right Omar
um thanks for being here Omar um yes I
was in Venus recently I was there last
week
um prepared three videos in Venus a lot
of fun I love vus I love going to vus
it’s it’s a great City right now the
vibe there right now as we speak is is
next level there’s a lot of Tourism
going on there’s a good vibe in the city
um
absolutely really enjoyed my time there
um what was the second part of
it how would you compare to how would I
compare Ria to vus
um okay so like I said in the video the
the three Baltic countries are are very
different but very similar in the sense
that they’re very small countries with
very small populations that have a
history
of continually through history being
somehow or another conquered invaded
ruled by other nations
and um now that they have their
independence since the 1990s it’s
refreshing to see it’s very nice uh one
thing I can say that’s similar with all
of them is that they they really try
hard
to erase the the Soviet
identity um
some countries are trying harder than
others and some countries are more
successful than others so for instance
you in in the Soviet Union you had your
typical kovas which were five-story
panel buildings they were made out of
cement panels they’d be put up in in a
matter of of days and they were copy
copy and pasted all over the Soviet
Union and when you walk around Ria you
can often see your typical kovka um you
know I think the only thing that may
have changed is that they’ve updated the
the the door at the entrance um but the
building are exactly as they were um yet
when I went to Lithuania I was surprised
to see a you know a neighborhood where
they took these kovas and really made
them look like all
right these were not Trump Towers in in
Miami or New York but when you think
what they were and how they transformed
them really made them
colorful um you know just made it look
really as you know if someone was given
that project I don’t think you could
make anything better looking out of what
you were given let’s put it this way
um but yeah uh that’s that’s one of the
differences the the the really the the
uh the desire to to bury the Soviet past
and how successful and how creative they
are at doing it
um now Lithuania Catholic country
lvia being Lutheran uh which is a
Protestant uh part of the the
religion um that makes a big difference
in in in certain things um but yeah I
mean like I said they they they’re both
fantastic countries and uh visit both
visit both if you’re asking me because
you’re wondering which one to see go to
one hop on a bus take a bus visit the
other it’s it’s well worth if you’re
here for a week it’s worth visiting both
countries for
sure what do you do with the difficulty
of moving away from your family to
another country that’s always a tough
one um but like I say I mean I’ve been
living out of a suitcase for for all my
life practically so um it’s not
something that I struggle with it’s even
easier right now with technology you
know I recently had a a lovely new
granddaughter um and I can speak to her
every single day um and see her and and
you know it’s absolutely I thank God for
this technology when I started traveling
back in the day I mean phone calls were
just astronomical you’d call home once a
once a week um you know there was no
smartphones like there are now so um you
know you travel and then you’d call home
maybe to your mom and dad once a week
you’d give them a call on a Sunday
night um but yeah that is a challenge
but it’s one you get used to it’s one
you get used to I mean if if you want to
move um you know the world is so small
today there is not a place on the planet
that you can’t reach within 24 hours if
push came to Super sh there is not a
place on the planet that you couldn’t
reach within 24 hours if push came to
shove now if you’re moving to two normal
places let’s say I don’t know uh Shai in
your in your uh
situation uh maybe London Bulgaria
because I know you want to go to
Bulgaria or Paris Bulgaria or wherever
to
Bulgaria um there are daily flights uh
two three hours 4 hours max you’re
you’re you’re back home
um you know
just let’s put it this way if you move
to another city in uh in London for
instance if I move from uh from London
to I don’t know up north to Scotland or
whatnot odds are it would probably take
me as long to to to drive that I think
it’s the flight issue that people think
oh I’m moving to another country and and
everything else but to there are so many
flight options that you you’re never
you’re never really far away from home
so that makes it a lot
easier um so if that’s what you’re
concerned with um you
know it’s so much better today so much
easier so try it try it for a few months
you know fly back and forth um see how
it works out for you I think you you
just get used to it uh if you’re used to
that family link camaraderie you know
visiting your family every every week
having dinner with them and so on yeah
that that that’s hard but you get used
to it you get used to it and it really
depends on what you you value more um I
value travel experience uh culture
languages probably it’s the thing I
value the most in life
so yeah for me that’s not
a it’s a tough decision but I think once
you understand your values it’s much
easier to formulate a decision and and
go with
it which
one
tonight oh uh who’s this yes okay so no
Kobe Cafe no I mean Cuba Cafe it’s a
Latin cafe if you’re referring to Friday
night the um the uh the concert with uh
Los
valtinos um that is going to happen it’s
in a place called Cuba Cafe which is
right off dorm Square the main Square in
in uh in the old town in Ria it’s a very
popular place very famous place it’s
like a a landmark here in Ria already
it’s where all the industry goes to
party after work I mean any waiter any
any waitress any bartender that works in
the industry that’s one of their places
that they hang out in um in Ria so
yeah who’s
asking okay um do I feel at home living
in laia absolutely um I really do I
um I have friends here I have uh very
comfortable
home um I’m very pleased with with my
life in Lafia I’m very disappointed with
the airport right now which kind of
makes me really puts me on edge because
I have one flight now to London which
gets me into stanstead which is if
you’re living in West London like I do
um it’s the worst airport there is I
mean it’s it’s like miles out it’s like
30 pounds to get from stanstead 30
British pounds to get from stanstead
into London um which often times is more
than the flight so it’s annoying when to
think that there used to be a direct
flight to Luton which was super easy
super comfortable um absolutely great
and
now yeah unfortunately it’s um it’s all
gone to [ __ ] but yeah I do feel very
comfortable here in in in Ria
can you say it
louder oh yeah why I chose to move to
Ria um like I said
earlier it was kind of like something
that I did because of
work um when all the lockdowns happened
and the airports and I kind of had to
choose where to be in case the airport
shut down I liked it so much I decided
to
stay okay um Cesar saying that Balden
bankrupt has a
um what do you call it a golden Visa
here in uh
laia I’m not sure I I owns a property
maybe I I really don’t know I’ve heard
that before actually um but I’ve never
actually seen him um if I did I’m not a
shy person I would definitely go up to
him I would maybe not shove my camera in
his face um but uh but yeah it would it
would be you know uh it would be an
experience to meet uh the guy that’s
managed to take this industry and turn
it into
a following of 4 million people I mean
by any means that’s just
like
impressive
um and I’ve heard that before but I
don’t know if he just owns the property
so as he could get the visa and then
doesn’t spend any time here but um but
yeah if he does then it’s just a matter
of time before we do bump into each
other have you slept in a bus have I
slept in a bus have I slept in a bus oh
you have no idea mate how many times
I’ve slept in a bus I slept in a
bus 3 weeks ago
um I decided to take a bus from Warsaw
to Ria comfortable bus and um I had a
choice to take the morning bus or the
night
bus
and it wasn’t going to give me any extra
time in the destination that I was
um I have no I can sleep anywhere I’m
kind of a I’m an insomniac I sleep very
very little I sleep maybe four or five
hours a night um but when I do sleep I
can sleep anywhere on a sofa on a bus on
a chair on a plane uh in bed doesn’t
really matter
um often times I’ll I’ll choose that
sometimes just to save money on on on a
hotel you know because you’re traveling
at night you take the bus you sleep on
it and you got to be smart as well you
got to book your ticket correctly you
got to know when to book um
so for instance when I get on a bus and
I’ll book a ticket I’ll usually take a
window seat with no one sat next to me
which is the smart thing to do but about
40 minutes an hour to 40 minutes before
I get on the bus I’ll go in to book
another ticket
and not because I want to buy another
ticket because I want to see what the
seating arrangement is and see if
anybody’s booked a seat next to me and
if they have I’ll check what seats are
still available then I’ll call customer
service in this case it was with luuk
Express which is my favorite bus company
in the baltics by the way and I said
excuse me can you change my seat from
number seven to number 37 yeah sure no
problem now I know that
but odds are because the ticketing is
closing in like five
minutes um I’m going to have a seat with
two seats to me the whole way so that’s
just one of my tricks that I use same
thing with with um by the way I’ll give
you this um checking in for flights if
you fly cheaper Airlines such as wiiz
ryer
EasyJet um
when you buy the flight they
often um give you the option to buy a
premium seat or to select your seat not
even a premium seat but the selector
seat but they want stupid money for that
at least in my view and and coming from
a guy who um comes from a place where we
used to buy a flight ticket and it
included Your Hand luggage it included
one suitcase it included your seat it
included everything it was all in the
price now when they’ve stripped
everything down and you can buy every
little Wich item individually it kind of
like pisses me off I hate paying for
those extras because I personally don’t
think they should be
extras here’s what I do it works 95% of
the time so what happens the way it
works
is you refuse the their uh option to buy
a seat you request a random
seat um
now you don’t get a signed your seat
until you check
in now checkin usually happens 24 hours
before the flight on these uh cheaper or
cheaper discount
Airlines so what I’ll tend to do they’ll
say let’s say with whiz a check-in
closes 3 hours before the flight so I’ll
set my timer to remind me three and a
half hours before the flight why is that
because because the earlier you check in
the worse the seat they’re going to give
you first they’re going to get rid of
all the available middle seats along the
plane because they’re punishing you for
not paying premium so it’s not that
you’re getting a random seat you’re
getting a shitty seat you’ll notice if
you check in early you you’re you’re
almost sure to get seat number
26b or 32 uh e um which is completely
annoying what happens once they finished
dishing those out they have to start
dishing out the better ones the windows
the aisles that are left over and once
they’re done giving those out they then
have to start giving you the premium
seats which are the emergency exits or
the first four rows and what I found
from my experience and I travel a hell
of a lot um the later you check
in the less seats are left over and the
better quality seat you going to get so
a little bonus tip for you guys I could
write a book on how to do this and
probably sell it but just a little tip
for you guys if you fly discounted
Airlines Try It You’ll
see so I’m being asked by Martin when am
I going to visit
leay um like I said I have a plan this
spring summer to to pretty
much uh cover all the
baltics um I’m going to be mainly
focused on the baltics I’m I’m doing two
weeks possibly in uh Georgia uh this is
something that came up last minute
wasn’t planned
um I might tell you on a live stream
when I’m in Georgia why I’m in Georgia
uh it’s exciting news but um but yeah
once it’s all finalized but yeah I’m
definitely going to be doing ven pills
Li pie
um resak I want to see again uh daa
pills yob pills I mean I want to zigzag
get the whole country I want to go to a
city called Madonna a city called ogre
um and then with
um with another friend of mine friend
subscriber um we want to cover all the
all the cities in maybe in laia maybe in
all the baltics we don’t know let’s see
how much but this summer we’ve agreed
that we’re going to visit all the cities
that have breweries or that have beers
named after them because once upon a
time they may have be produced may have
been produced in that City
and go and enjoy a beer in every city
that could be fun I’m sure it will be
fun actually so that’s that’s going to
be a a trip and a video I’m going to
love
making why don’t you live in Georgia why
don’t I live in
Georgia um good question uh I would
definitely consider Georgia I would
consider Armenia too
um the point is that having um having
resolved
my EU
residency back in the day when when uh
when brexit was all happening and you
know it was official that’s it the UK
was going to leave and they gave British
people a grace period to get an extra
five years uh uh in Europe so I I did
that I got five years residency here in
lvia
um and I think that
um it would be more complicated now to
become a resident of
Georgia
um so it’s an option I’m I’m sure it’s
not that
complicated uh but right now this is
just super comfortable and this is one
place where WI still flies to you can
still fly the CI from Ria two or three
times a week that’s the only destination
that they’ve left and that’s because
they’ve moved the Hub to CI so CI
Georgia flies everywhere it flies to
London it flies to Belgium it flies to
France it flies
to Andria hence they fly here and they
fly home so their Hub is in ki and
that’s the only destination that they’ve
left forri which is really sad which is
really going to affect tourism which
makes me angry makes me crazy because
industry in laia is very limited they
have
Timber they have
tourism and when a major airline like
whiz a decides to shut down their Hub
and reduce all their flights to one
destination you know that that is going
to affect tourism just by default I mean
you know what does a guy do a guy wants
to go with his mates to to travel uh
somewhere the first thing he looks is
let’s see where the flights are going to
what airport we’re going to choose let’s
see what’s flying from
Luton
well laia is no longer there and it
really it really saddens me it really
really annoys me someone actually said a
couple of weeks ago said I should make
you Ministry minister of uh of of uh
tourism um you know what I would make so
many different decisions I would really
really focus on I was on a train today
leaving
Ria and I was looking at this the
skyline of the Oldtown and I’m like this
place is so beautiful it deserves so
much more it deserves so much more
tourism and it really angers me that
it’s just going going to the toilet um
the the tourism and I think it’s just
stupid decisions and no enough focus on
how great of a country it is so yeah
oh so someone’s asking the difference
between Georgia and the Baltic
countries
um I
mean I can’t even begin to tell you the
difference I mean it’s just like you
know Worlds
Apart um
but different does not necessarily mean
better and I always try and emphasize
that to people when they travel say
never assume that different is either
worse or better it’s different and you
have to appreciate that so the Georgian
way of life is
very very Southern very Mediterranean if
anybody’s ever traveled to Naples or to
to southern Spain and you’ll see that
the people are very open and you know uh
they live outside you know they they
they their values are completely
different to to Barcelona let’s say or
to to uh bolognia or you know the cities
in the north are completely
different um same thing here you you go
to Georgia and it’s it’s a way of life
that I really admire and respect and and
and
love um and then you have a the three B
Baltic countries which are really
Northern countries they’re Nordic now I
always get into this argument about
Eastern Europe not Eastern Europe uh
everybody always makes it a point to
comment to me that we’re not Eastern
Europe we are Eastern Europe sometimes I
don’t even say that it’s eastern Europe
and I get bombarded just because of the
channel name you know as if because I’m
just in Eastern Europe uh I should not
travel to Poland because uh I got a
message the other day saying we now we a
Western Country I’m like okay great you
know to me it’s just really Petty um I
don’t consider Eastern Europe uh to be
anything bad um
because honestly Bulgaria is Eastern
Europe if you want to get really
technical as to who’s Central who’s
Eastern who’s what you know uh for me
there was just like the Iron Curtain it
was the Iron Curtain that separated the
East and the west and it’s just stuck
with me since and if you compare it to
where I come from then all these
countries are Eastern Europe and you
know it’s just um but going back to my
point three Bolter countries uh as as as
Northern country as you can get so the
people are very reserved very cold very
close not with me I make them laugh I
talk to them uh they think I’m mad
um but as a rule when I say oh the Lans
are great people so kind and friendly
and then the lafans themselves will type
and say you’re not talking about my
fellow countrymen are you and I’m like
yeah I am actually um
because it’s you know what I expect but
there is a there is a big difference
it’s very noticeable the
cuisine um the I mean
I couldn’t think of two more distinct uh
you know criteria
so yeah try them both mate try all four
of them try everything you can go to
Georgia go to Ria go to vus go to to
Talon you you won’t regret any of them
they’re just very different not better
not worse different
Eastern Europe
ah the
meanest
okay Dan here um my friend Dan who wants
to be in Eastern Europe is asking which
of the Baltic countries has the
meanest
babushkas they’re never mean you know
you got to love the bishers I mean
especially the mean ones they just make
it so real I absolutely love
them you know in my last video they were
like a woman who’s walking behind me
who’s not even on camera you’re not you
m you know you can’t record here I just
find that so amusing it keeps it so
authentic to me you know I can just
picture it being like that 30 40 years
ago and I value the the grumpy old
gossipy
babushkas um and then every now and
again you get such a smiley one that
just makes your day um um you know I I
don’t know you get them everywhere I
can’t really say which country has more
grumpy ones but one thing I was
surprised and this is God’s honest
truth uh if you know whenever I travel
to even a tiny village the first thing I
want to see is their local market it
tells you so much about the people the
The Village the country the the way of
life
there and so if you watch my channel
quite a lot you know I make a video
about the market everywhere because to
me that just like it it’s the the
foundation once I’ve done the market I
can then Branch out and I’ll have a
better idea of what what the city’s like
and and so on but the market for me is
the
fundamental the place I was most
surprised was when I went to
transnistria and I went to the Green
Market in tasel
I did not expect that it was a
market that was full of babushkas but I
think they were all high on something I
don’t know what they give them they were
all Smiley they were all friendly they
were all kind they wouldn’t even take
money like I’m like you know
uh I don’t have a fridge in the in the
in the hotel I just want to buy a few
things to weat right now on camera so
you go to one b and you say you know
what can I buy one pickle cuz I don’t
need 10 pickles I can’t buy 10 pickles
I’ll throw nine of them away so I’m
buying one pickle and I’m like well how
much is that and they go no no no it’s
okay just enjoy it I’m like no no no
seriously how much is it no you’re a
guest here we’re not taking money then
I’ll go and find the um the cabbage
salad and I’ll taste that same thing no
you’re a guest here you we’re not taking
any
money and I’m like this is absolutely
Madness they were
Absolut I can honestly say the kindest
babushkas the kindest
babushkas in
transnistria hands
down um never seen anything like it
absolutely amazing loved it
um yeah I hope that that answers the
question
um Ali his name is
aliab
Nas um so I have a friend here today
from Turkey who is fluent in three
languages including Russian English and
Turkish Works in a five star hotel
um you know I I don’t know what the
legalities are for work permits work
visas and so on and so forth I’m
assuming you mean in Western Europe um
but if you’ve got a good hotel behind
you that always helps I’m sure I’ve
never actually worked in the hotel
industry um but I know let’s say if
you’re working in a fstar I don’t know
if it’s a festar chain but I do have I
do meet a lot of staff from hotels a lot
of stuff from hotels because I stay in a
lot of
hotels and just like whatever you see on
camera I never check into a hotel
without knowing the girl’s name where
she’s from how long she’s been working
there what she studied you know I mean I
I what you see on camera is only a
percentage a small part of what really
happens off camera because I’m like that
with absolutely everybody so I’m not
going to check into a hotel and not find
out who I’m talking to what what’s
behind them and everything else so um
but I do know that a lot of Big Chain
hotels transfer their staff from one
city to another I don’t know if you
could try that um but uh from a salary
point of view I don’t know much about
the hotel industry and what the salaries
are for top quality
receptionist uh but I do have a friend
who let’s say has worked at the cinsky
here in in uh in Ria got transferred to
the kinsky in Czech Republic I think
um so yeah it happens a lot within the
the group so maybe that’s an option and
if it’s not um you know whenever I’ve
wanted a position in a certain place um
build a strategy start targeting them
bombard them call up the HR department
speak to them uh I’m sure everybody’s
always looking for good
stuff
um you know don’t be shy don’t just send
a piece of paper that’s going into a
file follow up make the phone call find
out who’s in charge of
hiring
um try and make contact with them uh
just stand out from the rest of the
bunch and hopefully that’ll that’ll help
your case but I can’t really help you in
this but I I do know that there are
transfers within within companies so
my what’s her
name okay D set um I’m so happy you
traveled to Ria unfortunately we didn’t
get to meet I would have loved to have
met you and your family I remember your
comments perfectly but unfortunately I
was traveling at the time uh I hope you
really enjoyed your 18th birthday here
in
Ria and I know you picked Ria because of
the channel
I remember you writing that and it means
a lot to me and I hope I didn’t let you
down I hope you had a fantastic time um
you know because if if you travel the
way I do as opposed to a lot of people
that I do meet here I I do meet a lot of
foreigners here and they’re like well
you know the city’s empty and it’s not
much happening and everything
else get off the Beaten Track find the
locals if you just want a Pub full of
other English people why have you come
here find out where the locals are go to
the market experience it meet the the
the the you know the people that can
show you uh things that are happening
all year round non-stop doesn’t matter
of season no
season so once again when when I hear
someone picks a destination or is
inspired to travel because of the
channel uh to me that is as much a
success as you know hitting that next
level of of you know subscribers or or
income from the channel or whatnot so I
really appreciate it mate and I didn’t
get to wish you happy birthday but
belated 18th man you’re 18 you’ve got
all your life ahead of
you all I can wish you is good travels
mate because when I was your age I was
already packing my suitcase and going
all over the place so
enjoy to you do more Instagram
keep ah Instagram content thank you very
much guys uh I don’t know much about
Instagram Tik Tok all this but um my
assistant here is insisting that you
know it’s got to go hand in hand so I’m
giving her the benefit of the doubt
she’s you know getting things done um so
yeah she’s reminding me every day that I
need to do content for this content for
that so I’m happy it’s working you just
you know vouch for that because
sometimes you do things and I like
what’s the point you know making the
videos is hard enough then I got to
think of photographs to put on Instagram
then I got to think of little video
clips to make these what do you call it
stories then I got to make reals that
now supposedly the reals are to attract
new Instagram followers that might end
up being YouTube followers
so the reason
why I’m doing that that now is because
no matter what Venture I’ve ever been to
been in in my life whether I
was in the investment banking business
and the food business everything I’ve
ever done I’ve always given it 100% I’ve
never been afraid of failing I’ve fallen
flat on my face more than the average
person I promise you
that um but one thing I can say when I
do fall flat on my
face I can honestly say to me and
anybody else that I did everything that
was in my power someone else might have
been more powerful and more successful
and better and I never claimed to be the
best but what’s within my power I always
give 100% I never want to look at myself
in the mirror and say you know what you
could have really done more but you know
you just you just messed around so when
I set a goal to to create this YouTube
channel and take it from a hobby to to
something professional because I do see
the potential and I do see uh you know
how this could could be valuable to me
and to to to you guys and you know my
family like I said the whole motive
behind this was that one day my
grandkids who are tiny babies right now
um there’s going to be a point where I’m
no longer around but they’ll all be able
to just go into to to YouTube and get
life lessons from from from uh from
their granddad I mean God forbid I have
so much content now that talking about
so many diverse things that if God
forbid something happened to me tomorrow
even my my young kids would be able to
to get so much value out of my presence
on YouTube so that was really the first
initial motive but then when I turned it
to a into a business that’s where you
cover all your bases there’s no way if
if YouTube failed for me tomorrow and I
say listen this is just not viable I’m
spending two grand a month on production
uh but making 400 a month in income yeah
that’s fine for a certain amount of time
but there’s a point where you kind of
got to say you know this hobby is is is
an expensive
hobby which is fine there’s nothing
wrong with failing in life um as a
matter of fact if you’re not failing
you’re not trying hard enough but
I refuse to
fail without trying
everything that I’m aware of and now I’m
really focusing on the Instagram trying
to put posts every day real stories just
to get my head around what’s the
difference between a real and a short or
a story and God knows what I mean I wish
they would all just come up with one
name for every platform because it
drives me absolutely mad I can’t even
have a conversation without confusing
using myself and everyone I’m speaking
to including my
assistant so yeah I’m happy you’re
enjoying the content means a lot to me
because it’s something I’m going to
focus on now more and more is the
Instagram to try and drive traffic
ultimately into the channel so
cheers if I had to build a second base
to have an
apartment where would it be
I think it would be in one of the
caucuses right now it would either be
Georgia or Armenia honestly
speaking um northern country I’m in
right now the weather is sometimes
really
really harsh the Winter’s here harsh I
mean let’s face it this is no joke this
is the
baltics uh this winter I found myself in
minus
26° I mean your freezer at home your
freezer at home that that that fre
freezes your meat Rock Solid is about –
18° um this was-
26 um that’s
cold so if I had to pick another place I
would pick a place
that covered several things number one I
love the the the the vibe the people the
culture
um and then a good air airport which
kisi has which Yan has in terms of
having good connections to the
relatively well
priced um at least the destinations that
I want to go to
and if I’m in a cold country then that
ultimate little bonus would be the
weather so based upon that
Yan
Georgia Bulgaria those are the three
that I would have to really look into
and then for tax reasons you know
there’s lot of benefits in different
areas different places so yeah but uh
one of those three I
thinki how would I rank the top five
cities in Eastern
Europe
um well I definitely wouldn’t rank them
by weather okay so weather is you you
don’t come to Eastern Europe to enjoy
the weather you come to Eastern Europe
to enjoy a specific way of life so I
remember when I first started traveling
to Eastern Europe and I would travel to
Moscow phenomenal City fantastic City
and I remember after I’d been there once
or twice and back in those days it was
completely different but it’s still
somewhat the same but the I’m talking
about the days if anybody of you
remember Moscow in the ’90s is I’m
talking about the days of the Hungry
Duck I’m talking about the days of
NightLight I’m talking about the days
when an era gone
by
so I remember saying that you know it
France would be is known as the City of
Lights the city of romance London is
really a gentleman City you know it’s
it’s a city where you’ll go to the
casino you’ll have a nice dinner you’ll
be with your mates or whatnot it’s
really to me a gentleman city um so
you’ve got the gentleman City you’ve got
the city of Roman but to me Moscow I
always said this is the city of anything
you want whenever you want and that’s
the truth in Moscow at the time I don’t
know now because I haven’t been in a few
years but I’ve always considered Moscow
to be the city of anything you want
whenever you want it’s
non-stop uh and I absolutely loved it so
yeah that was my first let’s say
impression big impression of of Eastern
Europe
um so how would I classify the best so
that is definitely one of the the the
aspects then the beauty of the women I
mean it’s just
mindboggling um from Ukraine to which is
on the southern tip on the Black Sea all
the way to to
Estonia um I and everything in between
they just um I don’t know if it’s got to
do with the way they grew up and you
know maybe they you know if every woman
is wearing the same bra and the same
shoes and the same underwear when they
finally discovered variety they just
went mad and and decided that they
wanted to put on the best show ever um
but they really look after themselves
greatly so
but how would I rank that oh that’s
difficult that’s difficult um because
you know I’m at an age where I don’t box
a type anymore to me it’s just like a
beautiful woman is a beautiful woman she
could be six foot she could be you know
5 foot if she’s beautiful she’s
beautiful um so yeah EAS listen mate
you’re asking me to rank these I I can’t
just come to Eastern Europe just throw a
DOT and I promise you you will find an
adventure you will find a culture you
will
find you know
experiences that you will cherish for a
lifetime so I can’t rank it but whatever
you pick you’re not going to be
disappointed have I visited Co
Digger um yes I have not as a YouTuber I
visited personally but I’m every time
I’m thinking to myself and I have a
reminder in my phone right we’ve got a
reminder for this right so coig is a
cool place it’s got like a a a a
river and I tried to make a video there
so it cool dier is a place with the the
widest waterfall in
Europe and you’ve got the trout Salmons
now if you know anything about salmon I
do they you know it’s something that I I
deal with so salmon is a very
interesting it’s a very interesting uh
fif so if it’s born in a certain place
in Alaska let’s say a certain
point um it’ll hatch it’ll go all over
the world swimming for three four years
and then it’ll come back to the place
where it was born the exact location
where it was born to lay its eggs and
dies and die it’s fascinating it’s a
fascinating
fish um how they do it they must have
some kind of natural
GPS so what they do now they actually
create Farms where they they fertilize
the eggs and and you know
um let them
hatch specifically in a place then
release them into the wild so it’s a
wild fish but it comes back to the
factory literally to to to the Hatchery
to lay its its eggs and you’ll see them
little literally they’ll be like stairs
and they’ll jump up these stairs to to
to get back to the place that they must
get back
to and when you go to ciga there’s a
point there’s a time of year where you
see the trout which is also a type of
salmon the the rainbow trout which is
Delicious By the way both the eggs and
the fish if it’s smoked if it’s cooked
it’s it’s an absolutely phenomenal fish
but you’ll see them literally jump in up
the river going
Upstream which is where they lose their
fat when they’re swinging swimming
across against the stream is when they
lose their fat they’re getting older the
eggs fish eggs are getting bigger but
the the fish itself is getting skinnier
so you have to make a distinction do you
want
a you know fattier fish or do you want a
better quality row so
um my plan is to go this year I have
been before with my camera trying to
walk across the so I’m seeing people
walking across this um what do you call
it this waterfall which is quite
wide lovely scenery it looks a bit like
Switzerland it’s absolutely
magnificent so I’m walking across with
my camera doing my speech you know and
usual interaction with people and
speaking next thing I know I’ve slipped
into the water I’m all soaked drenched
footage gone to [ __ ] um but I
definitely am planning this year to to
try and do it again I don’t know I’ve
got a lot of travels on but I have the
date when the fish you know are
jumping heading home and I’m hoping to
uh to catch that so yeah cool Digger
great place love the place um
unfortunately not as a YouTuber yet but
it’s
coming have you ever done
lines London
City have I ever done a lot Polish
airlines from vus to London um I’ve
flown lot many many times maybe not from
Venus I don’t know if it’s a direct
flight if it is that’s good to
know um but usually when lot is flying
from another
city um then what we’re talking about is
a um a connection in in uh in Warsaw
usually so I’ve never looked into that
route um but now you know I’ll sit on
luks Express for three four hours get to
vus and then I’ve got another wiiz Hub
which gets me to to many places so it’s
not like it’s the end of the day but you
know it was so so much more comfortable
having all the flights directly from Ria
which was 20 minutes away and uh and
yeah let’s hope they come
back um have I tried ler beer I don’t
think so uh beer is going to be
something that we’re going to integrate
in the Channel with my with my friend uh
John so uh we’re going to
start with laa maybe take it into the
other Baltic countries and who knows if
it becomes you know good and the guy’s
got a a Blog that he writes he’s he’s
basically a
writer um so if it turns out to be
something that people like and enjoy
then who knows maybe we’ll we’ll we’ll
cover Poland and try all your beers in
the city where they come
from are you content with thetion
about your channel am I content with the
evolution of my channel
um contentment is something that I try
and
avoid uh I try not to be content I’m
always striving for more I’m always
striving for better uh that’s why when I
get technical issues like this with this
live stream it it you know
honestly it it drives me absolutely
Bonkers uh I’m not disappointed with the
evolution of my channel I think
um I think there are two ways to grow
the way I’m growing where every month
I’m adding a few thousand
subscribers
and my view count per video is
growing relatively to my subscribe
account
um I prefer that than having let’s say
one video I could make let’s say this
summer I’m planning on doing you know
the Baltic
beaches where I’m doing all the resorts
and I’m sure there’s going to be
gorgeous women on the beach um that I
plan on talking to finding out why
they’re there what they’re there for you
know just just really having fun like I
did in Bulgaria in Golden Sands last
year which is a video that that performs
very very well and I know if I do it in
the
baltics um
these are going to be successful videos
because whenever you put a pretty girl
in the thumbnail statistically I see
that you know the the results are much
better
um
but the idea of having one video let’s
say getting a million views or two
million views
because because of something that is
part of the channel but not the the main
focus of the channel okay so my channel
is not about women it’s about it’s about
travel it’s about me it’s about how I
travel it’s about sharing my way of
traveling and hoping to inspire other
people to travel that way um so it could
happen that one of those videos hits
gets a million views uh which might
double my subscriber count or increase
it by
10,000 um but if they’re going to be
viewers that would hop on a live stream
or you know if I do a video about um you
know my adventures in Tanzania or in
Philippines or whatnot and they wouldn’t
bother watching it um in the short term
yeah it would be great because the
income would boost and everything else
and it would probably give my ego boost
but from a business point of view I
would rather have
really good organic
growth uh um that is being fueled
by the the main purpose of the channel
which is sharing with you guys how I
like to travel and maybe inspiring you
guys to travel too
so um I’m happy with the way it’s going
I’m very very happy with the way it’s
going especially in the last since I
relaunched because I took a break for
three months from December all the way
to February and I was really stressing
over it I’m like oh my God you know
YouTube is so unforgiving if you don’t
feed the beast every single week um when
you start off again it is like you know
a a bike that really needs oiling it
needs greasing and it’s you know you
might have stopped the channel and your
average video in the first two days
would get three 4,000 views 5,000 views
suddenly you put out a video and it’s
got 120 views or 200 views and you’re
thinking oh no I can’t go through this
again because it’s it’s a lot of work
it’s a lot of
grinding um but fortunately in the last
few months the the channel has performed
phenomenally and uh from an income point
of
view it’s it’s negative it’s lost making
um but I think now I’m at a point where
I no longer need to
necessarily um you know be dependent
on on um on
YouTube but actually be able to
um you know I no longer need to be
dependent on YouTube but I can actually
start cutting deals with other
Enterprises other companies that can see
the value in my content in my audience
and I’m focusing on I’m focusing on that
right now quite a lot because you know
it’s it’s got to start uh um paying back
it’s got to it’s got to have that uh
it’s got to start yielding something I
can’t just keep uh putting money into
this and and really not not seeing a
return there’s only so long a person can
do that now I’m motivated because I
really want the Channel I want the
channel to be there I want the channel
there for my for my kids for my
grandkids for the future generations to
see how things were uh I’m lucky because
I’m Bal
um I wear very simple clothes so anybody
who watches my video in 20 years is not
going to think oh look how they used to
dress in those days or look how they
used to look in those days because I I
try not to be too fashionable or
anything else so it’s all it’s all
thought out it’s all planned um so
yeah um I’m happy with the way the
channel is going it was a long-winded
answer but I think it needed explaining
because uh
because
yeah oh one second guys uh
Let There we go can you guys still hear
me am I still coming
through yeah okay great next
question so Dana is asking would I ever
marry or date a lvan girl um
date
absolutely
marry doesn’t matter if she’s laan or
Jamaican or you know from Rwanda or
anywhere else that would have to be some
special gu
because
um been there done that and this girl
would really have to be able to fit in
my ideals my ideas my my crazy I mean
Dan you see I’m not your average person
I I’m traveling all the time I’m living
at the
airport um I’m interacting with a lot of
people I go to bars I go to clubs I go
to there aren’t many women that would
want that as their husbands so it would
have to be a very special girl but
dating yeah why not absolutely are you
kidding me I think laia has some of the
most beautiful women on the planet so
yes I would definitely date a uh a lan
girl I would even marry a Lavan girl but
boy she would have to be tolerant
because you know I’m just I think I
would be a nightmare to get married
[Music]
to
H what are the most interesting hotels
in Ria so I got my own place but prior
to that I’ve been traveling to Ria a
hell of a lot I think I stayed in most
hotels in Ria
so there aren’t many five-star
hotels
um and even as five star hotels honestly
speaking guys they’re not yeah when you
stay in a five-star hotel if you stayed
in a festar hotel in London in New York
in Miami or
whatnot uh you come home at four o’clock
or you come to the hotel four o’clock in
the morning you’ve had a few drinks you
want to eat and you want to eat some
good food now uh the whole point of a
fstar hotel is that they have a 24-hour
kitchen um sometimes you come to a fstar
hotel in certain countries you come home
well we have a limited snack you can get
some chips you can get
some they’re five star but there’s five
star and there’s five star so there’s
some good hotels here I got to admit
there’s a couple of chain
um Welton and rickell they’re the same
group um they have hotels scattered all
over ltia all over
Ria
um so this is a good group you know the
standard you’re going to get and it’s
it’s very acceptable it’s very good and
then you’ve got these uh kind of like
boutique hotels that you wonder like
what the hell is going on here
um kind of like there’s one called
what’s what’s it called it’s right in
the old
town called something Square
Hotel Plaza Square Plaza Hotel I’m not
sure
exactly um weird
hotel five star okay you can get a suite
with the jacuzzi and everything else
going on there but then you look around
and you just see that the details are
not there you know the Finish is just
not right it’s kind of like five star
hotel from AliExpress
um hostiles I’ve never stayed in going
from the extreme range I’ve never stayed
in hosts uh
although um I was speaking to a guy the
other day who said mate you have to stay
in hosts you absolutely must stay in
hosts you get to meet people I just
don’t know if it’s if it’s normal for a
guy my age to go into a hostel and and
hang around with 20 year olds I don’t
know to me it just seems a bit odd I
might try it once and make a video just
for the hell of it um but it’s not going
to be a hostel where I share room with
with a in a bunk bed with with u you
know a girl sleeping above me a guy
sleeping beside me and all this that’s
just not my style at
all but I think
um uh I think definitely uh would
um we’ll try a hostle and make a video
of it
so stay tuned guys for that that one now
I’m looking guys how many how many
people in the live stream right now
there’s 48 of you watching and there’s
only 36 likes I’m going to ask you to
push that like let’s get this live
stream out to people um so I’m going to
see I want to see this number jump up if
you’re watching right now and you have
not hit the like button uh please do so
if you’re not subscribed subscribe to
the channel because that also helps it
it motivates me to wake up in the
morning and see another new subscriber
who’s just left me a message and said I
really like your content um
so let me see this a number moving up I
don’t know hopefully it
will next
question the
what okay so yes uh someone’s asking
about the minivan
Hotel oh okay you’re you’re you’re okay
so yes um very interesting and I’m happy
because we’ve been doing some marketing
and contacting different companies and
everything else I’m going to be covering
uh actually I’m meeting them
tomorrow um so there’s this company
called um glamping glamping yes
glamping and I absolutely love what
they’ve pulled off so they’ve opened the
hotel um but how have they done it and
it’s pretty ingenious they’ve taken like
a warehouse space and they’ve parked
minivans that have been converted into
kind of little home little apartments
little rooms and theyve just parked them
up randomly in there made it look super
cool and you live in a minivan inside a
warehouse right in I mean I’ll show you
the place it’s it’s phenomenal and I
thought from from a entrepreneurial
point of view how cool is that you don’t
need no licenses you don’t I mean you’re
basically living in a minivan and it
happens to be in a
building um and you’ve opened a hotel
and you can list it on
booking.com um absolutely ingenious so
I’m gonna meet the owner of this
brilliant concept
tomorrow and he messaged me in the
afternoon he said do you mind if I bring
my son he watches your channel he’s a
fan I’d like he wants to meet you he’s
12 years old and I’m like Yeah by all
means
absolutely
um but the concept is phenomenal so I’m
going to and they’ve invited me to spend
a couple of days in a minivan and I’m
going to agree to it but I’m going to
agree to it when the place is full when
I can interact with the people and
everything else and see what it’s like
to sleep in a van because I’ll tell you
something for me it’s perfect timing
because I’ve been kind of like toying
with the idea of buying one of these you
know Mercedes trucks the sprinters and
converting it into kind of like a
bedroom with a little kitchen and it
looks all appealing and everything else
but you don’t know until you’ve actually
tried it so this is the perfect way to
just like test it without actually going
into uh into the wild and and so yeah
I’m super looking forward to this so
there’s going to be a video on that
coming out very soon uh or at least
it’ll be part of of the video and I
think it’ll be super interesting so yeah
that’s a very unique concept here in rer
that um I’m going to try and I think
it’s it’s going to be a lot
from
singap hello my friend from Singapore uh
who said he loves my videos I really
appreciate that I do my best and he’s
requesting that I go to other parts of
Europe well I’ve done a few videos in in
London I’ve done a few videos in
Brussels um just today I had a
subscriber Georgian subscriber from from
Belgium but ant worp who messaged me and
I’m going to be in
Belgium next week so I think I might
meet him and uh yeah so yeah we’re going
to expand we’re going to go to other
areas I know the channel is called just
in Eastern Europe but that was really
just to enter the market to be really
Niche and to be able to find my
subscribers my followers because if if
you just go in as Justin travels it’s
very broad it’s very hard to be found
but if you’ll Google now or if you
YouTube um you know Bulgaria or lvia I’m
one of the First videos to show up and
that was really the intention so as you
could be found and when you have a very
specific Niche it’s easier for people to
find you and build your audience and
then from there obviously my plan is to
Branch out to Southeast Asia to Central
Asia to to Africa south America I mean I
feel like I still have a lot of life in
me and a lot to share and I just know
that if you put me in in a place in in
in in South
America I mean if you think I’ll take
the water in Eastern Europe like I do
then wait till I get to South America
and I can interact in Spanish with the
people and and just you know it’s just
going to be phenomenal so um stay tuned
happy you’re liking the channel and uh I
really appreciate that and look at that
this the likes are still at 36 everybody
that’s watching must have already liked
the channel so of the 44 of you watching
I
guess um the math doesn’t stack up so
hit the like button because I want to
push this out and we’re still at 36 so
I’m going to be nagging so
thanks how do I earn a living whilst
traveling okay so the concept of
dropshipping basically
to um trade in a
product that you don’t actually deal
with physically um is something I’ve
been doing for a long time before before
let’s say um you know all this idea of
Drop Shipping from China and everything
else and Amazon FBA and all that
uh I kind of structured it in my own
life so right now my main business my
main focus has been uh the cavar
business both red and black caviar more
red I specialize more in red salmon
caviar um last year was a disaster for
the caviar business uh to be totally
Frank with you guys um if I had sold
caviar last year I would have lost my
pants uh the price of cavar that I deal
with went from about1 $5 to
$39 it was an absolute disaster so
financially was just uh an
absolute I was [ __ ]
basically
um but the concept is I would I create
my cavar and then the season ends in
October I’ll produce it just before the
season of December freeze it and then
during the year I get orders from my
clients and then I simply process the
orders and ship out um I used to do that
with other products I did a lot of
parallel sales basically buying
Coca-Cola in
Poland at a discount it used to sell in
Denmark or in France a lot more
expensive and basically Buy in one place
that’s called parallel sales in within
Europe um is frowned upon by the
manufacturers but there’s nothing they
can do about it it’s completely legal
Nutella in Poland is cheaper than
Nutella in Italy so if I can find a good
deal on newella in Poland and sell it in
Italy then why not do that so yeah kind
of like trading finding opportunities
things like that so that’s that’s
basically uh after I got out the food
distribution where I had a Distribution
Company where I had Warehouse houses and
vans and employees that would run all
over the country and deliver and
everything else um now I’ve shrank it
down to to something that I can manage
Alone um prospects aren’t what they used
to be but then
again you know I’m I’m really uh putting
all of that on the back burner right now
and giving YouTube 100% so the success
of YouTube means a lot to me you guys
mean a lot to me so please support the
channel hit that like button because it
still hasn’t moved from 36 either and
now there’s 55 watching and still only
36 of you that’s got what what your
finger broken can’t you take your mouse
and just click click like I mean if
you’re sitting here and watching even if
you’re not discussing let me at least
see it go to 37 this is driving me nuts
all right what’s the next question
okay this is a great question who’s that
from Dan Dan wants to know how’s the
best way to pack for
whiz you know
um all these airlines that that you know
give you a hard time with how much you
can pack how much you can take with you
what you’re allowed to do what you’re
not allowed to do and maybe I should
make a video about that but I’ll I’ll
just share it with you right now and
because there’s 55 you maybe Travelers
and it’s something that you can
absolutely take advantage of right now
so first of all get yourself a nice 35 L
Rock sack so something nice that is
about uh 30 cm wide 20 cm by 45 cm high
now when you pack your clothes this is
very important let’s say you want to
take four t-shirts now this is true
whether you’re putting them in a rock
Sack or a
suitcase if you like me you want your
t-shirts to be folded immaculately so
you fold them like they would be in a
store and you piled up so you got four
t-shirts right
there um you pack them in a suitcase you
pack them in a rock sack directly by the
time you get to where you’re going
they’re going to look like [ __ ] they’re
going to look like crap so what you need
to do is find a plastic bag one of these
smooth plastic bags not the ones that
rattle that are really cheap Jeep and
make all that noise you know the the
good quality plastic bags I’ve got a
cupboard full um you take your T-shirt
and you slide them into that bag and now
instead of having four items inside your
bag you now have one item that is very
slippery very moldable very nice to
function and you slide it into your
bag when you arrive at
destination your t-shirts come out still
together and they as you put them in
next you’ve got your underwear and socks
same thing you place your underwear
together you place your socks together
let’s say you’re going on a 4-day trip
four underwears four pairs of socks one
extra just in case you lay them out so
it’s nice and flat in a similar kind of
bag or identical kind of bag slip it in
fold it up now you have two items in
your rock sack you slide it in boom now
you can squeeze them together you can
shift them about
now you need a pair of jeans you need a
spare pair of jeans probably same thing
in the same bag you put one or two pair
of pants a pair of jeans whatever that
you need fold them up so as they’re not
too bulky but they’re the height of the
bag slided in everything has to be
packed in bags because what it does
instead of having then 15 items in your
bag you only have three that you can
really squeeze press compress without
having too much uh too much
trouble get all your stuff in your bag
have your toiletries separated by
liquids and non- liquids so if you’ve
got a razor and you’ve got a when I
travel I use Stick deodorant I might use
aerosol when I’m at home but I have
Stick deodorant so it doesn’t have to go
through the scanner so by the time I get
to the scanner all I have is my After
Shave and my toothpaste everything else
is not liquid stays in the suitcase
packed away at the bottom the liquid
stuff stays in a little bag connected to
my laptop or my tablet they’re together
so when I get to that pain in the ass oh
check your luggage and everything else I
open I already know I’ve got the laptop
that comes out and I’ve got this bag
everything else goes through now if you
have extra stuff that you want to take
let’s say you’re going for not 4 days
you’re going for 2 weeks you want to
take an extra five T-shirts because
you’re going to do the uh laundry there
you want to take an extra pair of pants
you want to take uh some
gifts fine put them in a plastic bag a
regular plastic bag don’t put them in
your rock sack because your rock sack’s
probably already full with all your
stuff your laptop your clothes
everything you’ve got a nice pack Rock
sack but now Ry a allows you to take
that for free but if you want to take an
extra suitcase or extra bag they’re
going to charge you £60
8070 how do you avoid that so what you
do all the extra stuff you want to take
you put them in regular carrier bags you
go to the airport you go through
security you throw your bags on there
you put your rock sack you take out your
two things your laptop your liquids you
go through security the minute you’re
through security you go
to um the dutyfree shop and you say
excuse me can I buy two bags and you go
in and you buy two plastic bags bags
nothing else you can buy a chewing gum
you can buy a water whatever but the
point is you because now they’ll sell
you the bags so you’re just buying bags
you buy two bags and what you do you
take your bags that has the [ __ ] that
you wanted and you put it in a dutyfree
bag why because the airline cannot
refuse duty free bags if they did they
would actually bankrupt the duty free
shops so you take your Supermarket bag
and now you drop it in the dutyfree bag
now don’t make it bulky and ugly as if
you sure you know be smart make it look
like oh yeah you bought stuff at
dutyfree now you’re actually going
through with twice the amount of
clothing some gifts whatever you can
take three duty free bags nobody’s going
to tell you anything over duty free bags
they cannot so now you’ve just got the
one rack sack you’ve got a couple of
bags you get on you put everything in
the overhead locker and you fly to your
destination that is how I do it every
single time and um that’s how I
recommend to do it because you know to
spend 60 just to T take an extra
suitcase or sometimes you want to go
priority and the ticket cost you 15
bucks but they want 25 just just to go
priority um yeah it’s fine if you go
once a year twice a year but if you’re
going every week like I do or every two
weeks um you know that 25 bucks
sometimes can can amount to hell of a
lot of money so um yeah there’s my tips
I need to make a video about that to
actually show you how to do
it when are you going to
to
worse Moscow okay can I have a fork
please can you bring me a fork when am I
going to come to Moscow listen mate I
absolutely would love to come to Moscow
it’s a brilliant City
um leaving all the issues aside I’m
talking about Moscow as a city the
people the vibe everything else it’s an
absolute marvelous city
um the issue I mean the problem
obviously is
always convenience ease so on but I
guess what I need to do is stop being
lazy and uh and actually making it a
point to come to to Moscow because I
think you know I I think in the last few
months it’s changed a lot and or in the
last few years rather it’s changed quite
a bit and I think I really need to to
get there because um because I miss it I
miss it it’s got a great Vibe it’s it’s
an amazing place and uh
yeah Moscow
where have I been in Andalusia where
haven’t I been in Andalusia from sevil
to Granada to Malaga Malaga City MAA all
the way to the border of kadis uh into
kadis I mean along the Atlantic coast
across the gibralta down the
Mediterranean um you know pretty much
everywhere uh I’ve zigzagged it all I
lived there for well I had a base there
I never live anywhere I always have a
base um but for over let’s see
97 96 997 to now is what 27 years 27
years so and if you know me and you know
how I like to travel I can get up in the
morning decide to drive 4 hours to have
a cup of coffee somewhere and come back
I’ve done that so many times or just go
and have lunch a place that’s 5H hour
drive way because um because I can
because why not and because it’s fun so
I’ve zigzagged it all so
yeah any chance of a subscriber bar roll
in the summer in Ria funny you say that
mate because I’m currently putting
together a a uh an opportunity for my
subscribers who are interested to to
come on a
4day trip to Ria I’m going to do one in
Bulgaria one in
arenia uh as
well um but it’s going to be a 4day trip
whereby you arrive in
Ria we agree on the
hotel everything’s included so from the
hotel to the restaurants we’re going to
go to the the bars um there’s going to
be a minius so we can have fun we don’t
have to worry about anything it’ll be
with us 24 hours a day and from the
moment you land you will have the Justin
Eastern Europe experience so you get
picked up at the airport driven to your
hotel everybody arrives on the same day
we meet at the hotel we have a few
drinks next day full on my style and we
do that for three 4 days and uh
absolutely mate just to do a PB crawl is
not is not enough if you want let me
know uh message me and I’ll let you know
the details as soon as it’s available
but there’s going to be um you know as I
said this channel has to start yielding
and I’ve already had quite a lot of
people saying to me yes I’d love to
travel with you um because I think I can
show them unique things that if they
came here alone they just wouldn’t know
how to find them how to experience them
um so yeah stay tuned for that let me
know if something you’re interested in
um I’ll definitely get you some
information as soon as I’ve got it all
planned out because now I’m pricing it
out I’m negotiating with the hotel so I
can get the best price on the hotel so
as I can make it even better pric um I’m
negotiating with the specific uh
restaurants I want to go to so I want to
go on experience in Ria some Armenian
food but I don’t just want the food I
want the fullon experience experience so
I’m negotia so I’m negotiating with all
the parties I don’t just want to deliver
something that’s going to be yeah all
right you arrive we drink and and have
fun no I’m the type of guy that wants it
Flawless so it all has to be perfect and
planned out and my my my goal in the
month of
April uh let’s say is to really finalize
all the places and and agreements with
all the different uh counterparties and
then turning it into a product and
sharing it with you guys so if it’s
something you’re interested in mate let
me
know why am I avoiding Bosnia and Serbia
I’m not I’m really not avoiding any
country um I would love to go to Bosnia
and Serbia um
obviously there’s a difference between
going as a YouTuber and going myself so
where I’ve been uh as an individual
isn’t necessarily what you see on on on
YouTube I’ve been traveling the region
way way before YouTube ever existed um
I’m not avoiding it by any means as a
matter of fact I had it all
planned uh October
of the year before last so October of
2022 I flew to Bulgaria from there I no
I flew to Romania from there I went to
mova then I went in to transnistria on
the way back I was going to do all the
coast of Romania into Bulgaria from
there travel into Serbia do all the
region into Albania fly to London and
then back to Ria something happened
which I’ll not share on on on YouTube
but something happened that kind of put
the whole plan to [ __ ] uh not only that
it kept me off YouTube for about two
three
months but uh it’s not anything that I’m
avoiding it was in the plan it didn’t
work out um but the exciting thing is
when things don’t work out you still
have things to look forward to and uh
yeah it’s definitely in the plan to do
Serbia Bosnia Kosovo the
works all right someone wants my email
so it’s very simp simp Le is
Justin
at
at
Justin Eastern
europe.com so I’m putting the email
right now justinjustin Eastern
europe.com here’s my email guys it’s in
the chat now and if anybody wants to
message me send me an email
um find out more about the trips that
I’m organizing it’s just going to be
limited to four or five guys because I
want to make it really nice where we sit
in a mini bus that’s driving us around
we can have fun we can sit in the back
really comfortable I don’t want to do it
crowded I don’t want 18 20 30 people
it’s just going to be limited to 4 Five
Guys so if any of you are interested
send me a message at
justinjustin Easter europe.com and I
will update you on those trips the
minute they come out
three
what
yeah if I saw prion on looks Express I’d
be like what the hell’s going on here
mate I I think I think I would be
nervous that the bus would be bombed
let’s put it this way I’d get off the
bus is what I would do
is so much traveling expensive yes it’s
very expensive but the way I’m looking
at it is that I’m investing in this
because every time I produce a video
it’s like an inventory in my store so I
have a YouTube channel people watch it
my first video that I ever put posted on
the channel is to date my most
successful video it has over a half a
million views um but that didn’t explode
up until about seven or eight months
after I published the video so you never
know which video is going to pay off and
when the channel
grows the more subscribers I get uh
daily I get emails from people saying oh
I’m watching all your videos I’m going
through all your videos
all that is a return on investment so
it’s very expensive but I’m looking at
it from a business point of view I’m
investing in YouTube and now I think the
channel has just hit 25,000 subscribers
or is on the verge of hitting I think
within the next couple of weeks we’ll be
at 25,000
subscribers
and I may be wrong maybe 10,000 is
enough maybe 15,000 enough but I think
it becomes a point where it’s
respectable to approach um you know
companies that I respect and see if we
can you know cut a deal together
collaborate together um so
yeah uh it’s expensive but um I’m hoping
that eventually they will pay
off can you drink Ararat on luk Express
drinking alcohol
on l express is absolutely prohibited
but they have a coffee machine where you
can get coffee absolutely free all the
time um but yeah I mean some people
drink on the bus it pisses me off I
don’t like people drinking on the bus
personally because they sometimes they
get stupid um you
know it’s not pleasant so I I just think
drinking has to be appropriate I like to
drink with you guys guys I’m relaxing
here on a Wednesday night uh I don’t
drink every day a lot of people think oh
this guy drinks like crazy no what you
see on camera isn’t always what happens
every single day but when I’m here
spending time with you guys enjoying
myself I decided yes I want to drink and
if I wasn’t
so I mean if I had an extractor I’d be
smoking cigars here as well because I
like a good
old cub or Dominican cigar it would be
absolutely phenomenal um but yeah not on
the bus I don’t drink on the
bus country is the
most which Eastern European country is
the most western ah they’re all becoming
Western at a fast pace a better question
would be which Eastern European country
is still Eastern
European um that would be a much more
interesting question
um so I would say the the ones that are
still Eastern European
Bulgaria uh
Armenia uh Georgia although it’s getting
more and more westernized by the
day
um yeah unfortunately it’s not what it
used to be I mean you still have the
difference in cultures and everything
else it’s still very interesting but
back in the day I mean oh my God I mean
you’d walk around the streets and the
amount of [ __ ] coming out of exhaust
from you know Kamas trucks driving down
the center of town and it was just
surreal you know uh but now you’re kind
of like seeing not just a balance in you
know the vibe of the city but also in
the pricing I mean you know uh the price
of things it
just there used to be a big gap big
difference between prices in Eastern
Europe and and the West uh now it’s
narrowing and I think it’s done it’s
done by Design I don’t think this is all
um coincidental I don’t get into
conspiracy theories I don’t talk
politics but I personally think that
it’s done by
Design um to get a shift of population
because you know I mean laia is it’s
hemorrhaging its population by by the
numbers of 50,000 a year 50 ,000 a year
on a country of 1.6 1.7 million people
is is
astronomical and you know a crying shame
so
yeah try and find the countries that are
still Eastern European rather than
Western
well um Ali regarding you know rer and
how touristic it
is uh it should be more touristic I mean
it’s one of the main industries
here um but I think it’s it’s definitely
slacking um it might be a good time
because I think finding Quality quality
workers in in laia is is a challenge and
I think that uh um if you um if you
target it now I think you know it might
be a good time for you to I don’t know
you know from a work permit if you have
legal right to work in in Lafia that’s
not something I can get into but I think
now might be the perfect time because um
obviously the hotel tells are still
operational um but finding good stuff I
hear from a lot of people is a big
challenge so chance your luck guys we’re
still stuck at 36 or is my screen Just
Let me refresh this stream Let me
refresh this this screen because maybe I
just don’t see the update one second
here we
go because I was about to accuse you all
of being lazy and and not being able to
click the button so uh what are we at
right now let’s see my face is frozen my
um my statistics are not coming out uh
what’s the next ah we’re at 61 likes
sorry guys my mistake we’ve uh We’ve
more than doubled it that is super cool
61 likes 47 watching if anybody hasn’t
liked yet go ahead if you’re watching
and you didn’t subscribe yet to the
channel go ahead and do it thank you
Georgio David uh 62 likes
superb a driving video will I ever bring
the lder to the front line again we want
to see a driving video May absolutely
and guys um the trip’s going to include
the L so anybody that comes here for 4
days and you feel like oh by the way
look at this guys empty bottle of Ararat
you never put it back down on the table
it’s bad luck at least in this part of
the world has to go on the floor so we
need to put it down there not on the
table has to be put away to say that if
you do that you have to buy the next
bottle which I probably will be buying
the next bottle but yeah definitely
we’ll be bringing out the ladder this
summer um I think it’s going to be
phenomenal love driving it and old stick
shift I mean you sit in the ladder that
smell is a 1980s car I mean anybody that
grew up like me in the 1980s you’ll
remember what the smell of a car was
like it’s not like now it was all
rubbery and you could smell the petrol
coming through uh it’s an absolute
experience and you know it’s four gears
it’s old style and it’s really rough and
I
think um definitely have to include the
ladder experience in the trip so I’ll be
making videos about it but um another
thing when we when we uh when we do this
uh this trip um I plan on making videos
about it so if you guys want to start
YouTube you’re looking to maybe launch a
YouTube channel you have a YouTube
channel um think about it because uh
we’re going to feature all of this in
the videos that we do when you know the
four or five guys come over here to to
do the Jus Eastern Europe experience so
we’re going to do it in lvia we’re going
to do it in Bulgaria we’re going to do
it in Armenia and I’m also thinking
Poland would not be a bad thing I mean
the night life in Poland is absolutely
phenomenal so yeah I’m looking forward
to this it’s going to be a busy summer
but I think it’s going to be super worth
it
who said
that uhuh Luigi so yeah absolutely even
if you’re going to be in Ria traveling
with me uh I you know I’ll show you
places you
probably don’t know have not experienced
yet uh but it’s going to be the
camaraderie I mean if you like the
videos I like the videos another guy
like the videos one the reason why I’m
so confident about doing this is because
whenever I’ve met a subscriber so far
there’s always been a rapport right away
an instant Rapport it’s never been a
situation where I meet the subscriber
and then we have these uncomfortable
silences I met a guy from Australia who
lives in Croatia just this week he
literally messaged me he says I arrived
in Ria on Thursday it’s Saturday I’m
leaving
tomorrow um do you want to go out for a
drink this is Saturday
night I read the message he gives me his
number I call him on WhatsApp I said
hello mate are you really leaving
tomorrow he says you I said you’ve left
it last minute I said let me try and
clear a couple of things up if I can
finish them up we’ll go out we went out
we started off at Miss and Mr Beer we
started having drinks there then we went
and took it over to Cuba Cuba Cafe um we
had a phenomenal night together
um and yeah I think even if you spend
your time in Ria and you have it planned
um it’s it’s definitely going to be an
experience because it’s not just going
to be where we go it’s going to be who
we go with it’s going to be a
camaraderie that uh that’s just going to
be phenomenal so yeah let me know
I’m really not superstitious I um my
someone’s asking why am I wearing this
red bracelet and Dan asked me before so
I was I was in um in Jerusalem a few
years ago I think seven years ago and
some some Rabbi on the street just
pulled me over and started putting this
on me obviously wanted a donation fair
enough everybody has to earn a living um
and I said you know what I’ll just wear
it till it comes off it’s been seven
years it’s not come off that’s crazy
this is just a bit of string seven years
and it’s not come off and now it would
just be a shame to pull it off because
now it’s already become a challenge so
um this is my
Jerusalem um
Jerusalem string from a rabbi and he
made seven knots and yeah so yeah I’m
not superstitious but at this point
after seven years it would be ridiculous
which is the best country to retire in
Eastern Europe from someone that lives
in the US that’s a complicated
question um because someone that lives
in the US you’ve got several things that
you’re concerned with number one is
um obtaining a Visa so
I’m not going to give advice on that but
you know some countries are easier than
other to be able to obtain um a status
to be able to live you know on a
permanent basis
um then depending on what your income is
so are you looking for low lower cost of
I mean honestly with the prices in the
US and I speak to my friends all the
time is you know lower cost in the US is
is a given but
um are you really looking to to reduce
your cost um me personally I would
probably go
with um Bulgaria I’m a big fan of
Bulgaria I would go with lvia I live
here myself and I’m a huge fan of it uh
Romania is another great place um you
know for all you Andrew tape fans uh
Romania is a phenomenal Place uh to live
so long as you’re not
andrate
um yeah there’s a lot of advantages uh
from a medical point of view obviously a
retirement age it’s an issue I have all
the faith in in Eastern European doctors
uh maybe not hospitals because they
might not have all the technologies that
you need but in terms of doctors I have
absolute Faith because the salaries here
are
so um
so
inappropriate so inappropriate for the
job that they do that any doctor in
Eastern Europe is really a doctor
because they’re fascinated with medicine
and they care about their job this is
not a money-driven industry into because
they’re going to make it killing uh if a
person becomes a doctor in Eastern
Europe it’s because they’re really
passionate about medicine so from a
doctor’s point of view I think you won’t
have a problem in any of the countries
um same with Dentistry I mean dentistry
in Eastern Europe is just a fraction of
the price uh of the rest of the the
world
so yeah I would consider
Bulgaria Romania
lvia
um listen mate I I’m more than happy to
help if you drop me an email and you
give me more of your details we can have
a chat about it I can explain to you a
bit more because you know it’s a very
broad question uh but if you give me
more details you’ve got my email there
in the chat just in just in Eastern
Europe uh drop me an email I’ll be more
than happy to discuss it with you we can
get on a phone call and uh and speak
about
it ahuh video is lagging let me see one
second let me close down some of these
with it Windows
um are we still lagging maybe this will
be
better I’ve just closed down a couple of
Windows because I wanted to see how many
people subscribe but I think this might
help um honestly speaking I probably
need to invest in a better computer this
is something I’ve had for a while now um
but uh I don’t
know hopefully it’ll work it says error
YouTube not receiving enough video to
maintain smooth streaming sorry about
that
guys um I don’t know what else to close
I’m doing my best
here uh let’s see let’s close
this all righty any other questions
country the best medical service which
country has the best medical service
fortunately um I’ve not
needed serious medical service um when
it comes to National Health or
government medical
service
um laia
I had a weird situation I had a crash
last year I crashed my my scooter I was
riding a
scooter uh through the center of town I
literally flipped over the scooter
landed on my head ended up uh passing
out on the
sidewalk managed to get
up put the scooter away get in a cab get
home now I’ve been through a lot of
injuries in my life I know know when you
bash your head you don’t fall asleep I’m
ready to pass
out but I make my way to the
hospital and the first thing you do is
you get this
number and remember when I said to you
at the beginning of the video and
someone
asked when you move to a
country
um what are some of the tips and I said
don’t get too frustrated so here’s what
happened
I arrive at the hospital I can hardly
walk I mean I am ready to pass out they
give me a number and I’m just waiting I
haven’t seen to anyone there’s no triage
there’s no like hi what are you here for
oh your chest is hurting you’ve got
numbness in your arm okay great you’re
going first in line because you might be
experiencing a heart attack um that
doesn’t exist you just take a number and
you sit down in the waiting room and
wait and I’m waiting 45 minutes and I’m
dying to
sleep but I’m suspecting that
something’s wrong in the brain and
sleeping would not be the best thing to
do
so I
uh I go and find one of the employees
I’m like
mate I’ve had a crash I’m not feeling
good I need to see a doctor now he said
well then you should have come with an
ambulance I said okay but I didn’t and
that doesn’t change my situation he goes
well if you didn’t come with an
ambulance it’s not an emergency now we
were stood outside and I said to him let
me ask you a question do you see those
buildings over there residential
buildings across the street and he goes
yeah I said so what you’re trying to say
to me is if that I was
experiencing what I thought to be a
heart attack and I was living in that
building over there rather than walk to
the hospital or maybe get my wife to
drive me to get immediate attention what
you’re saying is I should have called an
ambulance waited half an hour or 40
minutes to get driven here so as I could
get first in line he goes yeah pretty
much that’s the
situation um it’s hard to say mate what
is the best place for for uh for you
know medic in Eastern Europe I mean from
a doctor’s point of view I have good
respect for all the doctors um from a
functional point of view ah yeah try and
go private if you can the next morning I
went private and I went to a private
clinic and I got all the CT scans I
needed all the MRIs everything um and I
got it sorted really quick so
yeah how’s the quality guys is it is it
okay or we still
freezing
next who said that
anyways thank you
for gradually making your way out of bed
to make some tea and clicking the life
like button mean meanwhile if it’s real
tea I’ll have a cup
too golf courses in the baltics I know
there are a few uh in Ria in lithu Mania
uh I’ve been to a few uh but honestly
speaking uh a place that
has so much snow so much ice so much
Frost um it’s not a golf place you want
golf go to the south of
Spain uh they call it the costail soul
but it’s also nicknamed the costail golf
uh where you have 300 days of sunshine a
year and some amazing Golf Course
valderama uh valder valderama Golf
Course is it
in basically they had the uh uh you know
some of the best
tournaments ever so if if you’re a golf
player definitely not the
baltics Dana this is a shout out to my
um what do we call it live stream love
dner we have this virtual live stream
relationship and I’m giving you a shout
out you know what Danna forget trying to
put on a date why don’t you join me on a
live stream one day it would be great to
have you sat here right next to me and
we could introduce you to all of my
wonderful YouTube worlds but more
importantly I would love to meet you
already this is getting ridiculous Dan
how much can you how much can you
torture a
guy which airline in Europe is most
reliable and safe all right this is
interesting that you asked that when you
say reliable I guess you mean by or at
least statistically you mean on time and
with the least amount of delays
statistically that would probably be
ryer to your surprise here’s the
interesting thing when you land with
ryer and they arrive five minutes before
time or 15 minutes before time they
go we arrive 15 minutes before schedule
we are fantastic we are the
greatest
but if you take a flight from Ria to
London with Ryan
and then you compare it with other
airlines that fly the same
destination ryer always is like 10 or 15
minutes longer so so long as they arrive
earlier than their estimated Journey
time statistically that’s fantastic for
ryer but if they keep adding on 15
minutes on every
flight um it’s kind of like [ __ ]
um so I think probably if you looked at
the statistic it would be it would be
Ryan a because they do that all the time
I’ve
noticed um safety point of view I don’t
I don’t worry about safety I I mean I’ve
I’ve flown
Airlines uh one was called mineral NADA
mineral water I was flying
from I think I was I was flying from
Moscow to
Malaga many years ago brand new Boe
can’t I think it was a Boeing yeah I’m
almost sure it was a Boeing brand
spanking you we walked in it was brand
new um and we’re flying to
Malaga
and I remember sitting at the
back and suddenly I could smell burnt
rubber you you know the kind just like
your unusual smell you wouldn’t expect
that in in a in a in an airplane next
thing you know there are four guys
scattered all over the plane they get up
run to the back they start panicking and
I’m like what the [ __ ] is going on here
this is you don’t want to see that um I
managed to speak to the air
hostess whom um
I mean she was young well no I was much
younger at the time anyway so we were
already friendly during the whole
flight and I said what’s going on why
are these guys panicking oh no we’re
trying something new on this plane I
don’t know what exactly but you know the
they’re Engineers they’re just making
sure and I’m like hell they’re testing
flights here with with passengers just
you know so
um by far flying is the safest means of
travel statistically globally you take
all the flights around the world you
take all the incidents and you compare
it to all the other means of travel uh
your chances of dying on an airplane is
a lot less than any other means of
travel so I’m quite comfortable flying
on a
plane you know I get on washing machines
in the air the single props to the
double props to the Jets it really
doesn’t matter um you know if you’re
going to go out you might as well go out
with a bank that’s what I say
so
yeah have I ever visited Croatia now I
visited the former
Yugoslavia um but not Croatia and
funnily enough one of my subscribers was
here this week from Australia lives in
Croatia and and I’m going to be there
very very
soon um have I been to ask clinic in Ria
it’s a very funny name a clinic called
ass
ARS um not to be confused with your body
part but yes I have when I went to the
I think it’s called Straton inch for my
my
uh my uh and my laan assistant here is
just laughing at my laan strad inch
strad an inch something like that um
Hospital the next day after I wasn’t
able to get the service I actually went
to ask uh ass clinic on uh I think
it’s scalt schola and
U um phenomenal I got treated right away
um absolutely
fabulous great Clinic I have only good
to say about these
guys enjoy search though it will be
so we have cheddaman talking about
Ararat uh Brandy what country are you in
and I promise you I will help you find
your Ararat I’m happy you’re enjoying
the search now I’m wondering is Assaf
Ben Aron still in the room sent me a
message Assaf are you still in the room
or did you
leave answer that question before I
throw you out
next
question what kind of cheese do you the
most oh my God someone asked me the most
complicated question ever what kind of
European cheese do I love the
most ah um it is absolutely impossible
for me to
say from the smelliest I mean
intoxicated smelly socks
to the most mild cheese I love them all
if I go to Belgium or France and I go to
the from which is a a shop dedicated for
cheese you don’t get them everywhere in
every country we don’t have them here in
lvia but we
have shops that are
absolutely dedicated to
cheese and every time it’s a new
experience so I’ll go when I’m in France
or in Belgium I’ll find one of these and
I’ll buy all my favorite cheeses and
then a new one will Tickle My Fancy and
I don’t know if it’s going to be the
most delicious thing ever or the most
disgusting thing ever um
but
I have to try new things so I am such a
fanatic for
cheese um I love the bruised cheese I
love
you know Breeze from the solid Breeze to
the liquidy breeze I I love cam Bears um
you know there there were just so many
we could spend an hour just discussing
cheese so I’m absolutely a cheese
fanatic and samak masnavi just gave me a
super super like thanks uh a tip of two
pound thanks for in my question about
the clinic my pleasure my friend I
really appreciate it Richard Dawson
longtime fan of the of the uh Channel
supporter on Instagram also gave me2
pounds really appreciate it guys um it’s
these small things that make a huge
difference not just in reducing the cost
of producing the videos but giving me
that faith that um what I’m doing is is
useful
and and yeah I I can’t appreciate it
enough I mean you know every penny helps
and thank you so much guys I really
appreciate
it yep
okay so someone’s asking Gore actually
Gore Gabrielle saying they’ll have nine
hours to spend in
Warsaw with their family before
connecting flight to
Armenia oh my God you’re asking me
about Polish
restaurants
um just before arriving in
Armenia
H you know there’s a thing in take take
your family there I think it’s going to
be great if you want to experience real
Polish food which is not extravagant
food it’s yeah if you’re going to be
there for 9 hours then my advice is
don’t go and look for something special
look for something
authentic
and Warsaw is full of what they call
milk bars now milk mil bars are very
unique they they’re part of the the
Polish way of life they’re part of the
the culture if you like now what these
milk bars are they’re not a bar that
serves milk they’re
actually cafeteras restaurants
where the
food or a lot of the ingredients are
actually subsidized by the
government and the profit that they can
make is actually kept by the government
which means that anybody can get a good
meal at a good
price
um and the quality is just topnotch so I
went to one actually called The Milk Bar
um it’s called
um I can’t remember what it is but if
you watch my last video in Poland um 24
hours in po Poland what I did for 24
hours in
Poland uh you’ll see the bar and you can
experience Polish food it’s going to
cost you really
a nothing major it’s it’s really good
good well
priced but it’s there are so many of
them if you’re in the old town you can
just pick and choose just go milk by
Warsaw in your Google Maps and you will
have a whole list of them and they all
in order to become a Milk Bar they have
to abide by these rules so they get
subsidized by the governments and their
prices are restricted so as everybody
can afford to eat out and you are
absolutely going to love the experience
that’s what I would say to you yeah
there are plenty of great restaurants in
warsa I don’t think that’s what you’re
after if you’re there with your family
you want to experience the p g you want
to experience the real Polish food make
your way to a Milk Bar and eat like the
locals you won’t regret it and Gore
Gabrielle just gave us
$5 thank you so much my friend um I
really appreciate it it really helps the
channel um thank you so
much next
have I been to the irban radio telescope
funnily enough um I was looking at it
last week it’s basically a Soviet town
that has been abandoned and I think will
make a phenomenal video so uh I’m happy
you asked that but uh expect a video
very very soon about the Y telescope and
basically just a history how up until
1994 um the Soviets the Russians had
bases in the baltics many of which were
nuclear bases we’ve done we’ve done the
coverage in in the tukums Airfield where
we find we found camouflage silos that
were really in my opinion designated for
one thing and that would have been
nuclear weapons so so yeah
um good thing you’re saying that but I’m
actually looking at all my options and
that’s definitely one of the videos that
I plan on making very soon so thank you
very much for
that great guys well it is now what time
is it it is now
9:50 so let’s see a few more came in uh
Dan wants to be in Eastern Europe
R hit the like button maybe we can get
it to 100 likes Dan I couldn’t agree

like button so when I refresh I can see
how many and hi Justin good to see you
when you planning to go back to
Armenia oh guys I miss Armenia greatly
uh I have a lot of friends in Armenia a
lot of friends from Armenia I speak to
them on a daily basis
um I think this summer I’m going to be
focused purely on the baltics because
it’s the best time to be on the baltics
I’m going to share with you beaches that
you would think we were in the
Caribbean at a fraction of the price of
what you could expect uh a beach holiday
to cost and I’m going to share that with
you but once that’s over because the
summer here is very short my plan is to
be in Armenia end of August beginning of
September uh still need to cover so many
things I want to cover goris I want to
cover
Dilan uh there’s so many places in
Armenia so many experiences so many
foods that I want to share with you and
hopefully um we can arrange a group of
four or five guys to go to Armenia will
experience arat at the fact fact Tre
will’ll have food like you’ve never
experienced before and um yeah let me
know once again justtin just in Eastern
Europe if you’re interested in that I
will uh give you more details and you’ll
be the first to know as soon as they
come out because I don’t want to make it
huge if it works out we might do another
one but I just want to limit it to just
four guys like-minded guys who are
hitting the road going out there and
enjoying themselves um let’s see so
September for
armia

you well guys looks like we’ve covered
every single question thank you so much

  1. Hey Justin I set a notification for your live but for some reason it never prompted me.

How does one register interest in your language course that you may or may not go ahead with please?

  2. Thoroughly enjoyed your programme tonight Justin I missed the last hour because of family commitments unfortunately. I am just about to settle down for the next hour to catch up. You make your job look so easy and the conversation just keeps closing along nicely, I hope you know how great you are at doing this!

  3. watching your video, very interesting, I see that you say that you would date a Latvian girl… so, it means that you haven't ever dated a Latvian girl, even living in Latvia as you do? You also say that it would be difficult for you to marry because you are super-outgoing, super-sociable, so I have to assume that you prefer not to have any kind of serious relationships, even dating? My case is the opposite. Even being from Spain, I'm very reserved, unsociable, but I have dated several very beautiful girls from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, including my Russian ex-wife, very beautiful, with whom I spend the 3 best years in my life living in my house on the beach in the Spanish coast, and she is still my best friend, and I feel attracted to these former soviet union countries mostly because of women.. If it was only for culture, travelling, etc, I would probably have never even visited them, because I am not a traveller, although I like that they are in general much more conservative than the West. But, because I miss dating such women (obviously women from that part of the world are clearly the most beautiful in the world), I am thinking about travelling and hopefully even spending a part of the year in Riga (I work online), which seems to meet all the conditions I like, except weather in winter of course.

  4. one thing i like to find out-after all this time in Latvia, you go back for some days in uk-when you land in uk,whats the first thing coming into your mind?
