I went right before Trump got into office. I had a blast. The Cuban people that I encountered were cool, I only had 2 guys sweat me for a square (Newport) and some change. I would love to go back. I winged it the whole time I was there.
If I wanna go to Cuba, I will go on an all inclusive travel which is safer and better .,
I have been to Cuba i like it but it's not going to be for everyone and the main problem is the lack of things because of the embargo it was easier to find liquor than water but I love that it's original and not a big tourist trap
it’s not just Americans i also met a group of people from Europe they couldn't stay in the hotels either

There are only three ways for people in Cuba to get any money.
1. Be a high up official in the communist party. This is probably 0.01%
2. Have a family member outside of the country that sends money back. This is probably 10 to 15% of the country
3. Try to get money from tourists in any way you can think of that is non-violent. This applies to 99.9% of the country

I'm amazed by the ignorance of Americans (not you)…the ones who can't accept that Cuban people have a different perspective (and their own) about American/Cuban politics. A perspective from the life they live daily. I'm also amazed that Americans won't entertain that potentially they have been lied to by their own government. I love Cuba and I am sad for Cuba …why can't we just let them live? Idk.
The forest is a very sad but beautiful place. The Santeria practices and poor sewage system are destroying the forest. If anyone goes they will have to keep an open mind for sure. Some of the oldest and most enchanting (African) trees are in this forest.

I would say that being self reliant, being creative, self responsible, having ingenuity and making the best out of what you have an amazing way to live. You know what I don’t see, people fixated on phones, the bar/restaurant was packed and everyone talking to each other and socializing. I don’t see a lot of morbidly obese people and I definitely don’t see any homeless people. I think Cuba is beautiful and unique,

I am liking the video. But don't trust everything they tell you. Many can't talk and others are well off so they don't care. But most Cubans resent the government and hate Fidel.
I was also reading the comments. WTF. Annoying outsiders think they know better than Cubans. Cuba was ruin by the Cuban government. Not US. We don't even have real elections. No choice. We can't even talk out of fear. US is not doing that . The Cuban dictatorships care more about their private island and shopping expensive, than they care about their people who are hungry.
