Konichiwa from Tokyo Japan I’m here for 24 hours and I want to explore as much of the city as Possible I’m starting Theon night at Akihabara and ending the morning at a five-star restaurant serving some of the best steak on the planet Kobe beef this is the Akihabara neighborhood in central Tokyo if you like any anime video games or Electronics this is the place you have to visit when you’re here

In the heart of Tokyo akih habada pulses with energy its streets adorned with neon lights and the hum of electronic beats known as electronic town it’s become a meup for Tech enthusiasts and Anime of fiction Autos alike where futuristic Gadget stores and colorful manga shops create a fusion of modern

Innovation and aaku culture you can find many different kinds of gaming venues here in Akihabara offering different kinds of video games and arcades and I’ve just spotted my first one it’s a building called game panic and I want to see what it has to offer game Panic is nine stories of

Japanese fun every floor has different racing shooting fighting and music games you can try locals really seem to love playing these claw machines I took the elevator to go all the way up the ninth floor and to go down I figured I’ll take the stairs going from the top to the bottom I

Assume the stairs will be indoors but not true the stairs are outside that is a drop all the way to the ground floor they have a little net here but that is open not a fan of those outdoor stairs that would definitely not fly in the US

But works here Akihabara is full of quirky Japanese stores selling all kinds of anime manga cosplay and traing cards that you could ever want you can even live out your wildest Mario Kart fantasies here in Akihabara upon your favorite outfit rent a go-kart and drive around this eclectic Tokyo

Neighborhood time is 600 p.m. next stop Shabuya nestled in the heart of Tokyo shabuya captivates visitors with its fashion forward boutiques diverse dining experiences and an Ever evolving Urban landscape renowned for its trendy atmosphere this District weaves together a contemporary sophistication with nods to Japan’s cultural heritage made it to shabuya I popped

Into a mall quick because it’s very cold outside if you don’t know shabuya is one of the districts here in Tokyo and I am here specifically to look for a Nintendo store and a Pokémon store that was actually in Taiwan a few days ago where they opened up their first Pokemon

Center and I was able to visit very fun experience okay I did not realize the entire six floor is dedicated to various video game Outlets there’s actually a Capcom store here didn’t know about that I’m actually kind of excited to check this out if you aren’t aware where

Capcom was a pretty big video game developer back in the 9s oh that’s really cool little 3D action going on there and I think they kind of got out competed by Nintendo and Sega if I remember correctly they aren’t too popular these days and I actually I don’t recognize any of this

IP so maybe that’s on me there we go this guy from Street Fighter probably recognize this ch coming capcon IP oh my God look at how insanely crowded the Nintendo store is yeah actually need a ticket to get in because the store is that crowded and

What’s really crazy is this is not even a new store I think this has been around for a while so the fact that you still need tickets to get in that’s that’s that’s wild as much as I would love to visit the Nintendo store right now I’m

Really not in the mood to wait that line cuz it’s getting late so hopefully the Pokemon Center doesn’t have a line woohoo we are In that’s really cute shirt I actually don’t know which Pokemon this is what’s this guy’s name let me know this store has been like picked clean there’s so so many people in here and the line to check out is also massive there is some decent merch but honestly the Pokémon

Center store in Taiwan was actually better than this that’s it for tonight I’m going to head to my hotel room and have sweet sweet dreams thinking about that delicious Kobe beef I’ll be enjoying in the morning good night guys all right guys good morning from another beautiful day here in in Tokyo I

Am all B the love and ready to go to a restaurant called beef tick camura to have my delicious Kobe Steak all right everyone I just made it to beef camura in the ringi district of Tokyo now ringi is actually a nice part of town but you can’t really tell by looking at this entrance because this looks kind of sketchy but the restaurant is down these stairs if you’re never

Been to Tokyo before you might not know that nice places are often hidden in plain sight and you can’t even notice one time I went to a michan sushi restaurant and the entrance looked like a lrat I am not even kidding coob beef a delicacy originating from Japan’s Kobe City in the hyoga

Prefecture in order to be authentic Kobe the cow must come from the Tajima gu breed of cattle and pass rigorous lifestyle diet and marbling tests the name of the cow okay the father name the mother name okay and if we humans use a thumb Mark for any certificate we use

It’s the no of the beef right there that’s the nose of the nose of the cow the cow itself yes oh wow that’s really cool so wherever you made go if they said it’s go you can ask for this they can show it to you that’s the bre

Certificate yes sir is that the one I just ate this is the one you’re eating right now oh I just ate this thing yes you can I feel kind of sad the animals enjoy a life listening to classical music during feeding time they receive massages with sake and they enjoy a beer

Infused diet that is designed to stimulate their appetite the resulting steak is widely celebrated for its exceptional marbling tenderness and incredible flavor profile looks very good beef T camura offers a multi-course meal built around Kobe steak you choose the grade and cut of meat you’d like and the chefs take

Care of the rest I went with the highest grade number 12 sirloin this is the seared Kobe beef we’re going to have one of the pairings with each slice the first one is Ginger the second one is a garlic soy sauce and the third one is massabi it’s pretty good it’s like a

Nice um pastrami second course is a pumpkin soup this maybe the best pumpkin soup I’ve ever Had thank you let’s take a first bite of that freshly prepared K beef to show you what this looks like look at that perfect marbling you can see the fat running through the steak seared in the outside with some salt and pepper this looks beautiful so there’s three different

Dips that go with the steak and they all bring out different flavors in the meat I don’t think you actually need the sauce the meat itself is great as it is but it kind of like enhances and adds a little bit of a bonus kick to it Yeah that’s the good stuff and I ordered the extra optional fried garlic rice looks like it’s almost done think we with that amazing garlic in there just got the garlic fried rice looks awesome smells very good the garlic smell is not too strong it’s very good thank you you this is

Very good Fri rice and Ed the little pieces of U leftover Kobe and I think the Kobe oil so it’s like Kobe infused garlic fried rice it’s very very good the waiter brought over some Misa soup when the chef was finishing up the rice and he said that in Japan you’re

Supposed to have a bite of the rice and then have a sip of the Miso soup and kind of go back and forth so let’s give it a try o okay this is steaming hot it actually doesn’t smell like American soup yeah this is very good so I’ve actually been to Japan

Three times this is my third visit and every time I come to Japan I make it a point to go out of my way to have Kobe at least one time I’m in town I haven’t had this particular cut of Kobe before goes to number three all the way to

Number 12 number 12 is the highest grade they’ve never had number 12 before I think it’s actually pretty hard to get because there’s only a small quantity of kobby that’s actually in that grade and for dessert we have an assorted sorbet I think he said pistachio ice

Cream and some fruits and a lovely cup of coffee honestly even the sorbet is delicious I’m not a big sorbet person but this is good sorbet wrapped up my amazing lunch here at Beef Tech camura in ringi if you’ve never tried Kobe beef before it’s worth a shot at at least one

Time in your life it was so good the price of that meal came to 47,600 Japanese Yen and as of the time of this recording that’s about $340 so the Kobe experience here is not just a cut of steak it’s actually a several course meal you have the uh

First course with that seared coob the three pieces excuse me actually is four pieces you have the salad you have the garlic rice you have the vegetables of course you have the coob itself there’s two options 100 G or 30 G awesome dessert you have a beverage included in

The price of your meal I had a nice wine coffee or tea is included and of course dessert so it’s a substantial meal that you are getting for that price obviously it’s expensive this is the highest cut of Kobe you can get there are cheaper grades of Kobe available at this

Restaurant as well but regardless if you can afford it definitely come check it out this wraps up my 24 hours here in Tokyo if you like this video help me out smash that like button and share this with a couple of your friends so they can also check it out and hopefully also

Enjoy it I’ll catch you guys in the next episode later
