  1. So it mentions Selen but Tazumi didn’t answer the questions and instead of what he promised, he said his major plan is to focus on more content while hiring cheaper talents. No better management. No improved conditions.

Tazumi, this is talent management not fast food. After a while, people get sick of the same basic sludge and go out looking for real sustainment. It’s time to have a real vision because this ain’t it.

I think the investors might know something we don’t

This guy’s stupdity is relentless, yet he’s still the owner of a company. Really goes to show how easy it is for anyone to achieve their dreams with enough effort and bullshittery.

    My take:

When asked about how Cover, their competitor, has released news of the USA subsidiary, Riku responded that they are hiring more staff overseas (likely referring to the minimum wage multilingual job listings).

When asked about the growth rate of the company and in what phase of the business life cycle they are at, Riku responded by saying that they are not the type of business to invest billions and reap rewards long-term. Instead they prefer more frequent cycles of short-term investment amd return. This is in contrast to Cover’s strategy of investing back into the company for long-term growth.

Another interesting thing to note is that Riku was asked about his plans or opinion on M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions). He said that they have not considered it yet but kept the door open for the possibility in the future. As we know Sony and Bilibili are some of the shareholders of Anycolor.

On the Selen termination, the investors called Riku out on the IR document and the PR disaster. Riku tried to appease them by saying that there surely are remaining firm believers and fans of Niji. His only plan is to rebuild trust once again through more content that the fans will like. Seems like his only plan for NijiEN is to start hiring more staff and to pump out more content that the fans enjoy to regain/build trust.

Throughout the transcript it they would always repeat that “things are fine and within their plans”. When asked for specific plans and timeframes he would not give any beyond fancy words equivalent to “trust me bro”. Thr most specific thing he said was to pump out more debuts and more content.
