I mean, it is a sensitive subject and trying to pull someone into that discussion isn’t appropriate for the stream. Mind you, I’m Jewish too, and I actually don’t support what Israel is doing to their Palestinians who belong in that land just as much as they do. The Torah speaks against their behavior and they’re doing the same kinds of things Hitler did to them back in Germany.
I can go off on the list of things I can’t personally stomach concerning the government. But harassing people about the products they buy is not helping the cause for Palestinian rights. And before you mention my stance on the whole Hogwarts Legacy issue (if some of you have looked in my past comments, to your own risk (yes, I am a NSFW account. So beware. Lmao)), I still stand by what I said. I can’t support someone who does actively hurt me or people like me either. That being said, I don’t condone harassing others because they do. I am personally boycotting Starbucks, and you can encourage others to do so as well, but a single liver buying a piece of cake isn’t going to directly go to funding the IDF.
If she encouraged others to drop the boycott and do the same, I’d understand the outrage, but this is just a single person’s one-time purchase.
Educate, don’t attack. And if the person doesn’t want to be involved in the boycott, that’s their choice. Yelling at someone accomplishes a lot less than idk, actually donating to charities.
