“I am Japanese, so my English may be poor, but I would be happy if you could conveyed the background to people overseas.”
I decided to make this post again because of her tweet above. My summary below is based on my now-deleted first and second posts and new information from her videos which were not available at the time of posting. I also changed some of translation to make it better, but there might be mistakes or nuances not conveyed well. I encourage anyone who has doubts to go check the original posts she made. Please let me know if you think I got some information wrong.
And I apologize for making too many posts and confusing people regarding the timeline. I should’ve waited until all the information was out (didn’t expect the videos to come out).
**How it started:**
An artist/creator in Japan tweeted on March 5th that she received a warning document from Company A. In the document, Company A states they heard from the third party Company B CEO that she is leaking confidential information that violates their previous contract and harm their reputation. She denied spreading bad rumors about Company A to anyone.
\*This tweet is now deleted but it had a screenshot of the document with both CEO names, but not company names. That is how we could tell which company it was. I decided not to post the web archive or screenshot of this tweet for this post.
Company B that spread rumors of her happens to be the same company that refused to pay her for her work. She had to go to Tokyo Metropolitan Government to finally get them to pay. Right after she received unpaid money from Company B, she received the document from Company A. (My assumption which is not confirmed is that Company B CEO spread rumors about her to Company A because he was upset that he had to pay her. That would explain why she received the document from Company A right after she got unpaid money) People who saw her tweets advised her to consult a lawyer.
On March 7th, she tweeted that Company A’s lawyer used the CEO signature stamp, which is often used in Japanese business, without his permission to send the document. She also stated that Company A believed Company B CEO’s words without any evidence.
\*For context, Company B has a terrible reputation and also has a rumor of harassment.

She further reveals that she was harassed in the past by this same Company A lawyer.

\*This tweet is under the original tweet where she stated that CEO signature stamp should never be used without permission. So she is referring to The Company A lawyer, not Company B.

\*Note the mention of stock price. Company B is not a listed company, so it doesn’t have publicly traded stocks. So here, she is talking about Company A.

These two videos explain the timeline better and provided many details that were not previously available. Below is my summary of her videos as well as her earlier tweets.
**Summary:**
She used to work with Company A in the past and was called into meetings daily where she was constantly yelled, belittled, and harassed. She has a recording of this. She was told to write down her flaws and read it out load. The higher-ups of Company A kicked her out from Slack and Discord and ordered her colleagues to ignore her and told lies about her that even to this day, they talk behind her back that she‘s a psycho.
She also had to go to their office even though it was discouraged to go outside unnecessarily at the time (likely the covid pandemic emergency declaration period) and had to wait for an hour outside in the middle of winter. She recounts they said, “Did we call you?”
When she pointed out harassment, they ignored and laughed at her. The lawyer told her not to “talk back” and he can assure her this is not harassment because he’s a lawyer. She got diagnosed with PTSD and adjustment disorder and went to Labor Union. The company had to make a settlement but asked to pay only half the amount. (She mentioned in other tweets that they only paid her half her monthly income. My assumption which is not confirmed is that her income went down due to harassment, so the company was ordered to pay the amount that equals her full monthly income by Labor Union). She was going through a lot at the time and agreed with the terms the company proposed because she didn’t want to get involved anymore. So, the company only had to pay half the settlement money. This settlement contract includes a clause that she has to pay the company “x million yen” (likely 3 million she tweeted) if she wanted to go for a lawsuit. Her lawyer advised her not to do that because she will make more money if she kept working normally and she neither has money nor time to go to court.
Not sure exactly when, but sometime in the past, she worked with Company B. They refused to pay her and she went to Tokyo Metropolitan Government and got paid very recently.
And right after she received the payment, she received a warning document from Company A who believed the words of Company B CEO who said she was spreading bad rumors about Company A. She tweeted about this and explained what happened, as seen above, and was very stressed as she had kept quiet about her ordeal with Company A and they still came after her with the document.

I really wish the best for the artist. I wish all creators/artists and any workers in this industry are treated with respect. And I hope this post helps more people understand what was going on while respecting her request of not naming the company.

“This company did horrible things that are an affront to any reasonable interpretation of morality, but please don’t name and shame or try to do anything”.
Fuck that. Something horrible was done, and people should know who did it.
If they just wanted to not get *personally* involved in the anti-Nijisanji struggle, that’s fine. But pushing to withdraw existing statements, which could be rather important into for people that may end up dealing with Nijisanji in the future, just feels scummy.
EDIT: OK, knee-jerk reaction aside: We’re on /r/Nijisanji. What company could people THINK they are referring to?
Idk how much you can refrain from naming the company while posting about it on it’s own subreddit named after it, but I respect the attempt.
Anyway, yeah, no, Niji deserves to get attacked over this, just as they deserve to over driving Doki to attempting suicide twice, and about all the other shit they’re doing to what we now have to assume is every single liver. Not just for those victims that have already come forward, but for those who have not yet, and for those who may otherwise fall victim in the future.
There’s a reason even the victim typically can’t call off criminal prosecution.
