Here is a long walk around shibuya ,then night before hallowieen.
Shibuya Halloween is an annual Halloween event which is held at the center of Shibuya district at the night (usually on 31 October). It’s an unofficial outdoor event, that is held on the streets of Shibuya area (Map: https://goo.gl/xH15B6) around Shibuya Center Gai Street and Scramble Crossing. Tons of people gather at Shibuya in unique Halloween costumes and make a big street party till morning. (You will find less people in normal dress!)
Halloween has come a long way from its origins in ancient Celtic harvest festivals. These days it’s more about looking as OTT as possible, a custom that was popularised in the US in the early 1900s. In Japan, too, there is none of the doom and gloom of the holiday’s historical association with death, which may have something to do with the fact that the local celebration first made waves at Tokyo Disneyland.
Although major celebrations this year including Shibuya’s Halloween extravaganza and Tokyo Disney Resort’s Halloween special have been cancelled to prevent the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus,
Shibuya (渋谷) is one of the twenty-three city wards of Tokyo, but often refers to just the popular shopping and entertainment area found around Shibuya Station. In this regard, Shibuya is one of Tokyo’s most colorful and busy districts, packed with shopping, dining and nightclubs serving swarms of visitors that come to the district everyday.
Shibuya is a center for youth fashion and culture, and its streets are the birthplace to many of Japan’s fashion and entertainment trends. Over a dozen major department store branches can be found around the area catering to all types of shoppers. Most of the area’s large department and fashion stores belong to either Tokyu or Seibu, two competing corporations.

It always amazes me the amount of people around Shibuya no matter how many times I see it. Videos don’t really show the whole scope of people too! Great walk 🙂
My fear is that this Halloween of 2020 (with AGGLOMERATIONS) will bring an even worse Covid.
