Imo, it’s probably because she asked for permissions earlier. Like 2 years in advance, because 1 year is not enough to get perms. Don’t you know Riku needs to deliberate in the Thinker Pose for 2 years on top of his toilet staring at the Play Button tiles before he decides whether a cover gets permission or not? Common sense, dude.

Blatant favoritism creating a system of have and have-nots is nothing new for niji-en, just a lot more people know about it now.
Maybe management just wanted to hurt Selen, and created the “no graduated livers in MVs” rule at the last second so they’d have an excuse to prevent her from uploading the MV she had spent months working on.
There were other MVs before Christmas 2023 which had graduated livers that weren’t pulled 3 hours after release.
While this is blatant favoritism, I believe Riku knew he shat the bed and decided to remove all the roadblocks to let all MV go so he doesn’t get a second Selene happening now. With what Scarle is pulling on twitter, you can feel the talents know Riku can’t terminate them without actual sensible proper cause.
Still, this is the grave he dig and he should be man enough to admit the MV rules were screwed up and Selen was screwed by them to create a viable reason to blackmail her, problem is she answered with a brain and a lawyer and the idiot got caught pants down.
It could also mean they want to make things easier for talents now, and reduce chances of a Selen 2.0 incident. Maybe they will need less perms from graduated livers
